“You hero? Sounds like a lot of pressure.” She joked, stopping to think for a second. “A classic cheese and tomato pizza is calling my name.”

“Oh, it’s big shoes to fill.” The blonde teased, grinning at her younger sister. “Simplicity at it’s finest – a cheese pizza sounds delicious to me.”

“Adorable” Silas muttered sarcastically. He had never met Tom. The meeting with Stefan was enough “I’ll never get used to see my face everywhere. You know, not even I fully understand the whole doppelgänger thing”

“Adorable?” She quirked her brow. “I guess that’s one way of putting it. I’m not sure how I would feel if there were multiple people with my face.” She admitted. “I have a younger sister, and I think that resemblance is close enough.”

‘’Same. I don’t fully fit into any social group.’’ He smiled, the mock happiness not quite reaching his eyes. ‘’I should throw a Christmas party.’’

“Me either. I mean, I do, but I don’t really feel like I belong.” She mumbled, glancing over at him before pushing open the door of her apartment. “A Christmas party sounds kind of fun, actually. It would give you a chance to meet new people.”

“Don’t judge me but I may have a list of food delivery open after twelve.” Willow told her sister with a laugh pulling out her phone. It was something she did after she started having nightmares, call it comfort eating. “What are you feeling like, chinese, pizza? Or maybe something sweet.”

“No judgements here. In fact, you just might be my hero.” Lorelai stated with a chuckle. “A part of me wants to say all of the above, but I would settle for pizza or chinese and something sweet.” It was a wonder the two girls weren’t five hundred pounds.

“I’d like that, I’ve missed you Lor. So what’s on the menu tonight?” Willow opened the fridge to take a look at the items, her mind still on a late night snack.

“I’ve missed you, too.” Lorelai gave her sister a smile before peering over her shoulder at the fridge. “I shudder to know how old most of that stuff is. I wonder if there are any twenty-four hour delivery places?”

“That’s a good one! Stores shouldn’t sell them so early if they shouldn’t be put up.”

“I agree. I mean, they literally start selling them the second after Halloween is over, and once Christmas has come and gone they’ll start putting out the Valentine’s day stuff. Which I’m not too crazy about that holiday, but at least there’s candy involved.”

“Between you and me I might have gone a little crazy with the half off candy. Pretty sure I have enough here to feed everyone in New Orleans.”

“Your secret is safe with me. The half off candy is one of my favorite parts of holidays, or post holidays rather.”

“Yeah, looks like we have some catching up to do. I hate that we haven’t been spending any time together and we only have ourselves to blame.”

Silas took a sip on his bourbon, raising his brows when she spoke “Ah, I see your point" He chuckled “Who of them is your father? I know nothing about my doppelgängers families. All I know is who their partner is or was, don’t really care about that”

“Tom Avery.” She answered, glancing up at him from her glass. “He’s the youngest, or most recent. However that works.” Her parents had explained the doppelganger lines to Lor and her siblings, but it still caught her off guard whenever she was in the same room as one of the others.
