Enzo and Bonnie deserved more. They deserved each other. Bonnie was being treated like a sacrificial lamb by her friends and Enzo was being treated like an outcast. Enzo was abandoned at age 4 in a workhouse. He was alone until he contracted consumption and was turned into a vampire. He was subsequently captured and tortured for ten years by Augustine where he met Damon and they were tortured together for 5 years until they planned an escape plan and he gave up his rations for a year for it. Starved!!! Yet again he was abandoned by Damon. A guy who has himself said to Damon that he can’t hate him because Damon is all he has. No one in this group seems to like or care about Enzo. Thus he bounces from group to group looking to belong. He tries to get with lily(eeeeeewwwwwww) and that backfires. Then he makes a selfless act of saving Bonnie Bonnie had Grams die. Her mother turned into a vampire. She sacrificed herself trying to bring Jeremy back. The same Jeremy that cheated on her with ghosts and calls himself a vampire hunter who hasn’t killed any vampires. Yes!!! I’m talking about bland white bread wet blanket old Jeremy. She watched her dad get murdered in front of the whole town. She sacrificed herself getting people out of the other side. She sacrificed her chance to get out of the prison world so Damon could get out safe and sound where Damon didn’t even make much of an effort to get her out of there and told everyone he was there alone. Leaving her in the prison world alone with that psychopath Kai. She had to escape the prison world all BY HERSELF. With no help from anyone. She losses her magic ALL THE DAMN TIME. She literally give everyone her all but never received the return. Before season 8. That “squad” never did anything for Bonnie. Bonnie was neglected. Expected to give everything and get nothing back. So when these two get together… they are finally with someone who will put them first above all else. Enzo is with someone who has proven to never leave him and Bonnie is with someone who will stay and put her first and treat her like a Queen and not a stand in. They took that away. They took away Enzo’s happiness, his future… his love. They took away Bonnie’s happiness, future and love. The only one who really showed any care for this relationship between Enzo and Bonnie was Matt. Matt came after it happened and waited at Bonnie’s doorstep to console her. When Enzo was being mind fucked by sirens he talked about how strong the guy is and that he would make it out. Damon? Never cared the way he should have considering everything Enzo and Damon had been through which makes he upset with Damon. Like Damon barely mourned his death. And in the end Caroline has her kids(and klaus), Elena has Damon but Bonnie? Bonnie has no one.

-Being completely loyal to each other through everything

-Him being majorly protective over you

-But still willing to let you be independent and do your own thing

-Trusting you to protect yourself

-But completely being willing to kill anyone who hurts you at all

-Calling you ‘gorgeous’ and ‘love’ all the time

-Occasionally reciting poetry to you

-You pretend you hate it and think it’s cringey but you secretly love it and think it’s so romantic

-Him teaching you to play the guitar

-You actually being quite good at it, to his surprise

-Or just singing while he plays

-You teaching him something else in return

-Cute romantic getaways to a log cabin somewhere to get away from all of the Mystic Falls drama

-Him wanting to turn you so you can be together always

-But being okay with whatever you decide as long as you’re together

-You being an awful cook so he does most of the cooking

-You feeling bad so trying to make him a meal but it always goes totally wrong

-Love/hate relationship with Damon is just part of the package
