This is me last June wit 1st humans who worship me. They call me “Poppy” because I’s poppin’ (obvi!) and cuz I literally pop up like this in excitements to this day. But big bad u don’t see here is two German Shepherd baddies who won’t let a Maltese live without drama so I’s confined to these humans bathroom just so I stay safe from baddies when humans not around. These good humans cuz they know I can’t live like this so they seek new family for me even tho I’s still very young, wit no home training and I’s scared. But I’s got spirit n swag n sass n a heart full o luv plus I’s so cute! I met Craig Martin almost two years ago when his partner Earl Bridges contacted me via my Good Black News website. I sat and at talked with Craig about his and Earl’s mission, and about the whole “white savior” thing. And they put this podcast together and asked me to be a part of it. I come on somewhere towards the end, but the best stuff is from the first speaker from Alabama Village, and the professor who breaks down the topic with knowledge and nuance.
