This is blog is set post season two, so Angel is living in Vee tower. Angel will use this blog to vent. If you don't want to see that, this may not be for you.

Post season two

It was late at night when Alastor snuck out to the Vee tower. He wanted to make sure all the occupants were asleep, after all.

He carefully used his tentacles to scale the building, and finally stopped at the window of a particular spider’s room.

He tapped on the window with his tentacle in hopes of getting Angel’s attention.

Angel looks at the window as he hears the tapping, raising eyebrow and tilting his head curiously. He gets up from his bed and walks over to the window, his eyes widening upon seeing Alastor there on the other side.

Smiles? The hell are you doing at my window?

He asks as he opens the window for Alastor.

Alastor used his tentacles to gracefully glide through the window, floating past Angel and landing in center of the room. He then turned around to look at Angel.

“I came to check on you. Husk and Cherri are very worried.”

I figured they would be...

He mutters as he closes he window then turns to face Alastor.

Well I'm as good as I can be, being locked up with Val all the time.

Alastor tilted his head to the side.

“Is there something on your mind?” He asked. His voice was still sing-songy, but it lacked the annoying joy that it usually had.

He sits back down on his bed, running his hand through his hair as he let's out a soft sigh.

It's nothing new, really.

Alastor sits down on the bed next to Angel, making sure to keep a decent amount of space between them.

“I’m guessing that you’re feeling trapped, powerless, hopeless. You’ve given up all hope of having control over your life.”

Pretty much. I also feel like shit for basically just abandoning everyone, especially after Husk and Cherri risked their lives to save me...But hey, that's what happens when you're a damn dumbas.

Alastor hummed thoughtfully.

“You blame yourself for Vox’s mind control, correct?”

“And why do you think you’re guilty of something that you had no way of knowing about or controlling?”

Alastor’s voice was soft and gentle.

I dunno...Because I hurt the hotel and the others..And I guess I just feel like I never should've tried leaving Val, because I know all it does is hurt myself or others..

“Angel, look at me,” Alastor coaxed. “Vox and Valentino made the choice to hurt you, to exploit you. It’s not your fault when another uses you for their own benefit.”

Alastor hesitated. He broke eye contact with Angel and looked down at the floor before continuing. “It took me a very long time to internalize that.”

Angel crosses his top set of arms, rubbing the sides of his arms as if self soothing as he thinks on Alastor's words.

It's hard to think like that...I've been told otherwise for a long time...

Alastor hesitated, ruminating on what to say. Finally, he settled on something.

“Would you blame another if they were in your shoes? Say, if Husk was tricked into hurting you without his knowledge, would you blame him?”

He mutters, already knowing where this is going. He knows how he thinks is ridiculous when you think about it from another perspective, but it's hard to change your mind in something when it's basically been bashed into your head.

[alastors-radio-broadcast]

Alastor nodded. “We all miss you, Angel Dust.”

Alastor hesitated. He didn’t like being vulnerable like this, but he doubted Angel would even dare to bring up this moment with anyone else.

“Even me.”

Angel is silent for a moment, his grip on his arms tightening. He hadn't expected Alastor to admit he missed him too, but he choose not to comment on it.

...I miss you all too...But Val said I made my choice, I don't get to just walk out this time..

Alastor nodded in understanding.

“Just hang on. The rest of us will get you out soon.”

Angel nods a little in acknowledgement, looking at Alastor.

Just don't get hurt.

“Hah, I’m the most powerful overlord in Hell. I’ll be quite alright!” A bit of Al’s signature charisma seeped back into his behavior.

Yeah yeah, I more meant the others, Smiles.

He says almost jokingly.

“Val doesn’t need to know about their involvement.”

Alastor said with a wave of his hand.

He then looked at the window, then turned back to Angel.

“Would you like me to stay for a few minutes, or do you want me to leave?”
