HANGING OUT WITH SANTANA WAS ALWAYS ONE OF BRITTANY’S FAVOURITE THINGS. even though brittany was feeling down after her recent break up with artie, santana was doing a good job of keeping her mind occupied and distracting her from the heartbreak. brittany hadn’t taken much time to think about her own romantic relationship with santana, because she wasn’t actually sure that they had one anymore. she knew she had missed her chance to be with santana in that way, and she regretted that moment they shared at their lockers ever day since it happened. she was laid on top of santana’s bed, finding calm in the dark walls and sheets, as they spoke absentmindedly about their days. “they test wasn’t so bad, it was just super boring. i mean, who cares where all the countries are? why does it matter?” @awesomegaydar

“  the  minute  you  decide  to  bring  them  to  the  apartment  it  BECOMES  my  business .  quite  frankly ,  you  don’t  have  the  best  track  record  when  it  comes  to  the  men  you  date .  i  just  want  a  heads  up ,  because  if  you’re  gonna  keep  bringing  straight ,  strange  men  into  our  home , i’m  gonna  need  to  buy  a  safe  to  store  my  valuables  &  drill  it  to  the  wall ...”  she  digs  in ,  examining  the  risotto  carefully  laid  out  on  her  fork .  “  i  also  DON’T  trust  your  cooking ,  but  we  can’t  always  get  what  we  want .”

RACHEL KNEW THAT SANTANA HAD A POINT, she did live there as well and rachel knew she should be courteous. she was sure though, that she was doing just that and that her potential suitor was far from strange. rachel cleared her throat before taking a mouthful of the food, which she hummed in delight of the taste of. “believe me santana, since brody i’ve been very careful. there is no need to worry.” she assured her. “and my cooking has improved immensely, don’t you think? just try it.”

HUFFING SOFTLY AS SHE PLACED TWO PLATES DOWN ON THE TABLE, rachel shook her head at her roommate. “frankly santana, who i’ve been spending my evenings with is none of your business. now can we please just enjoy our family loft dinner, albeit just the two of us this evening. i’ve made a vegan risotto, which if i do say so myself, is delicious. so, dig in." @awesomegaydar

SAUNTERING INTO HER DANCE TEACHER’S OFFICE, RACHEL HAD A LOT MORE CONFIDENCE WHEN APPROACHING THE WOMAN NOW THAN A YEAR PRIOR. although their relationship wasn’t near perfect, it was still a lot better than when rachel had started nyada. she know realised that cassandra had her methods, and deep down, she wanted the best for her. “forgive me for barging in, ms. july, but i’ve heard whisperings that you may be leaving nyada... and while sometimes we don’t see eye to eye, i think you’re one of the best teachers here. is it true?” @dancescircles

          FINN HAD TO ADMIT, HE’D NEVER EXPECTED quinn fabray to want much to do with them following their respective college graduations. but if anything, they’d made an effort to keep in touch, not just making polite conversation at glee club reunions around the holidays and scheduled sporadically otherwise.  she’d always seemed destined for bigger and better things, and he’d thought that since he’d been that starry-eyed sophomore amazed that someone beautiful and incredibly smart like her actually wanted something meaningful to do with him. “yeah, me too,” he echoed with a sentimental little smile. “but those movies are classics,” finn teased back, nudging her shoulder. “why do i need something new when forrest gump and rain man are still so good?”

QUINN SHOOK HER HEAD AS A SOFT LAUGH TUMBLED FROM HER LIPS ONCE AGAIN. he never changed, not really. sure, he had matured and grown up in many ways, and had done amazing things but he was still the same finn hudson, with that adorable smile and gentle humour that made her feel light. “okay fine, but rain man’s out. i think i could probably tell you the script word for word.” she said, as she hopped up from the couch to put the beaten up copy of forrest gump into the dvd player under the tv. she soon returned to her previous position, legs thrown over his lap, and her head resting against the back of the couch.

          CLAD IN AN OLD MCKINLEY FOOTBALL t-shirt (one of these days he’d get the heart to throw it out) and some sweatpants, he looked a far cry from the sophomore who’d always taken the care to at least throw on some jeans when he’d be spending some time with quinn. luckily, though, it seemed that both age and maturity had brought comfort for both of them, in themselves and as a pair. and of course, such changes had also brought forgiveness and easiness; silly high school drama was no longer a concerning factor. with both of them out of college and settling into life as adults, none of that was of much concern at all. “oh, hey, i’m happy to have you,” finn dismissed, smiling fondly, allowing her to settle in however she found most comfortable. “it’s familiar           in the best way, i mean. life doesn’t always feel that way, anymore, and it’s nice to hang with you.”

QUINN ONCE HAD BEEN A FIRM BELIEVER IN LEAVING HER PAST BEHIND, AND FOCUSING ON THE FUTURE. while in some ways, that was still the case, she had learned to embrace the favourite parts about her past, and keep them close. finn was one of those, and she had made an effort to make sure he was still in her life, as she grew into the woman she now was. it wasn’t a bad thing, it was actually quite wonderful. “i wish i could see you more.” she pondered, as she shuffled a small pile of dvd’s on her lap. “and i also wish that you had better taste in movies. i think we’ve watched all of these a million times over in high school.” she chuckled fondly, although she didn’t mind really. she was simply teasing him.

QUINN FABRAY WORE HER OLDEST PYJAMAS , WITH HER HAIR THROWN ON TOP OF HER HEAD IN A MESSY BUN . her sixteen year old self would have scolded her for letting herself look such a way in front of finn hudson , but she had become a lot more carefree since high school . she was twenty three now , and the glee club were having one of their frequent reunions and she found herself comfortably on the couch , with her legs thrown over finn’s lap as they were about to decide on a movie .  ❝ thanks for inviting me over . ❞ quinn smiled at him .  ❝ you make this place feel a little more like home .  ❞  @frankenteend

SANTANA LOPEZ

first dates were decidedly new territory for santana. as far as her previous relationship went, things had sort of progressed subtly – from strangers to friends to lovers to girlfriends. there had never been an official first date. so this was as unfamiliar as it was exciting and as santana sipped at her soda, she couldn’t help but think this was exactly what she’d imagined new york to be like. open and free and almost like that lesbian colony she’d banked on once upon a time.  ❝ honestly, high school was kind of a fever dream most of the time. that was one of the less weird shit we did, ❞ she pointed out with a grin, though the comment about rachel did make her huff out a laugh.  ❝ oh, obviously. i’m still amazed she managed to not completely hog the attention at someone else’s proposal. ❞

after a pause, santana put the glass back down and leaned forward.  ❝ so, what about you? what high school cliches did you manage to check? ❞

DANI WAS HAVING A WONDERFUL TIME WITH SANTANA , AS SHE EXPECTED SHE WOULD . after just having one conversation with santana , dani was intrigued . santana came across as such a fiery , strong woman but around dani she had suddenly started nervously babbling . of course , dani found this quiet adorable . kurt had cracked a few jokes about how maybe dani could be the one to tame the beast .  ❝ was there a wedding ? did she hog the attention at that ? ❞ dani laughed .  ❝ i don’t think i’d invite her to my wedding , you know , just in case . ❞ 

dani hummed in thought at santana’s question , and scrunched up her face as she cringed at some of her high school memories .  ❝ i had the emo phase , obviously . black bedroom walls , loud music , acting like i hated everyone . luckily , the worst of it only lasted through sophomore year . besides that , i wasn’t so bad . i wasn’t a cheerleader like you though . ❞ she teased .

        THE PAIR WERE SETTLED IN A DIMLY LIT BOOTH IN THE CORNER OF THE BAR . as much as dani enjoyed being in the centre of the action , she actually just wanted some more alone time with santana . it was a date after all . it was their first date actually , and although dani had a feeling santana preferred places a lot classier than the one they were in , she hoped they would still have fun .  ❝ that’s insane . ❞ she said , unable to conceal her laugh .  ❝ you’re telling me this guy proposed to his girlfriend , with a bunch of students in a pool ? all while wearing a white tux ? it sounds like a fever dream . ❞ she giggled , before taking a small sip from her rum and coke .  ❝ i bet rachel loved that , she seemed like someone who likes dramatic gestures . ❞ @newdiirection

BLAINE ANDERSON

Blaine’s first instinct when the glass is removed from his hands is to lunge or shoot his arm forward at his attacker with the glass . He sees a shadow before he sees dark face, a menacing glimmer in it’s eyes, sharp teeth behind a heavy breath; a monster. The desire to scream bubbles in his stomach, and he can hear his high-pitched, wailing cry in his ears before it even leaves him. When he opens his mouth, nothing comes and that scares him the most; that no one will know that he’s about to die in this one moment. He wants to try again but before he does, he feels awoken. The color comes back to his eyes, and he lets go of the glass quickly as if he is being burned by it. 

“I… Uhm,” he inhales shakily through his nose as he speaks. Blaine slowly scoots away from the other, trying to keep his distance. He swallows. “I guess so,” he breathes. Blaine’s eyes shimmer with fear, heart drumming against his chest, and a light sweat forms at his hairline. “I’m sorry. I don’t know– I can explain.”

          FINN WAS WORRIED TO SAY THE LEAST . the look of pure fear in blaine’s eyes was one that he would never forget , and he didn’t understand why his boyfriend seemed to be scared of him . he had never given him any reason to be frightened , and in his sleepy state , he was even more confused . he saw a change in blaine in a split second , and it was incredibly strange to him . finn had an unsure look on his features , but he moved closed to blaine anyway , and he couldn’t help but wonder what on earth was going on .  ❝ what - uh.. what do you need to explain ? ❞ he questioned .  ❝ i don’t get what’s going on here . ❞
