Losing Control or Just Losing It || OPEN
What do you do when you don't know what to do? Lucan can't shake the boredom that seems to have seeped into every molecule in his body. He's fidgety and easily irritated, as if the looming mansion he calls home is somehow smaller on the inside than it is on the outside. Each room seems more suffocating than the previous and unfortunately for him, his mother has decided to grace him with her presence tonight. Except she's acting more like a helicopter, hovering so close that he feels like he can't breathe, than the aloof, absent single parent that she has been his entire life.
Finally, he can't take it anymore. He needs to get out, now. When she asks where he's going, he curtly says, "out." She has never showed any interest in his comings and goings before and he's not about to share his life with her now.
Thankfully, she doesn't press him for further details and he's engulfed by the winter darkness as soon as the front door closes behind him. It's not late, but it looks it by the way the darkness clings to everything.
Lucan steps off the porch and doesn't pick a direction as so much as he simply begins walking. Sometimes he's looking at his surroundings, but mostly his head is down, his eyes not seeing where he's going, his attention someplace far off.
It's when he hears the screeching tires that he's brought back to the here and now. He looks up as if searching for the source of the sound, not realizing he's the cause of it.
OOC.
I'm thinking about reviving Lucan here and I’m looking for the following line(s):
Lucan’s distant cousin moves to town. He’s never seen or met this person before and isn’t thrilled for this stranger to be invading his life.
Basically the same thing, except it's someone new in town instead of a family member.
{ O P T I O N A L } One of the two (either character) ends up developing feelings for the other. Will they speak up and risk rejection? Or will they keep their feelings a secret and suffer in silence?
I’d prefer a Landon Liboiron FC (does anyone even rp him anymore?) -- despite how clichéd that is -- but I’m open to other FCs (both male and female) as well.
Cordelia laughed, ”Interesting, well humans usually like the presence of people.” When he turned his head, she saw a cigarette in his hand and sat down next to him. ”Well I’m terribly sorry but I’d have to sit here, seeing as it annoyed you so.”
"Maybe I'm not human." He retorted, brow raised sarcastically as he drank from his fresh glass. Lucan heaved a sigh and glared in her direction, indicating his displeasure in her decision to ignore his warning. But being the stubborn boy that he was, Lucan refused to give up his spot at the bar. "Don't you have anything better to do?" He snapped as he glared down at his drink, exhaling smoke from his lungs as he spoke.
”By whom, if you don’t mind my asking?”
"Me, myself and I." Lucan replied dryly, his hand waving around him as if it should have been obvious. Finally drawing his attention to the voice, the boy turned his attention to his side to find the source of the speaker. The redhead was cute but that didn't seem to effect his mood. Turning his attention away once more, he held up his glass when the bartender drew near and the older man reluctantly refilled it for him.
Irrevocable Fate
What started as an innocent stroll became an interesting one. It was just few days from before, when she had caught interest in the said man, his name echoed through that one certain street as a girl called him. Lorraine isn’t one to meddle on other’s affairs but she could not help but to look at whose name was called, and there she saw the young man, right then and there she knew who he was. What was interesting is that there is some oddness in him, and in that one moment they exchange their stares, there is darkness residing from the window of his eyes, a darkness he strains to keep hidden, but he couldn’t.
No wonder he did not remember her, for she had erased the first encounter, thinking their paths would not cross once more, yet it did.
Her heels tapped lightly on the ground, nearing him, her left foot stepping on the dead cigarette, killing it more as she rubbed her shoes to completely cut the smoke. She isn’t fond of it. “You yourself know what I am talking about.” Her fingers made its way to lift his chin, commanding his eyes to direct through hers. The darkness of her irises flickered in that small moment. “You are craving right now, aren’t you?”
Lucan stood there, his body tense and on edge, as he watched with arms folded across his chest at the woman as she stomped out his cigarette. It was evident on his face that he was unaware that the two had met once before.
The boy fidgeted restlessly as her hand brushed against his skin, cupping his chin with her fingers. His first instinct was to jerk his head away, to not allow this stranger to touch him in such an intimate manner. But he was too distracted by the battle going on inside of him to fight it. Still struggling to keep the darkness from engulfing him, his eyes rose to hers and for a moment he simply glares back at her, refusing to look directly into hers like a stubborn child being scolded by their mother, before finally giving in.
As their eyes lock, his own quickly become lax as if she's put him in a trance. In that moment his face changes, his body isn't any more relaxed, but its as if it knows. Lucan's mouth opens to respond, his arms dropping to his sides as if in defeat, but words seem to escape him. Instead, he simply nods as his eyes silently beg for her to help him.
If you're following me and we haven't interacted yet, then like this post and lets get something started!
Lucan sat on the bar stool, a handful of empty glasses littering the space in front of him. He was in no mood to deal with the locals and the empty seats on either side of him expressed this. That didn't stop them from staring, though. It wasn't every day a kid was allowed inside the establishment and yet no one made a comment directly at him about his age. Pulling a cigarette from the pack, he propped it between his lips as he searched for a lighter in his pockets. After a moment the boy pulled out a silver lighter and casually lit his cigarette. As he put the object back into his pocket, his face darkened as he caught a glimpse of someone out of the corner of his eye taking a seat next to him. "Seats taken." He said without turning to look at the person and plucking the cigarette from his mouth, exhaling a plume of smoke.
OOC
I'm caught up with everything, so like this post if you'd like to start something or if I've missed your response.
Irrevocable Fate
His eyes are brewing in darkness, hidden yet she could easily see from afar. His muscles tense, struggling to keep control but he was at the edge of his restrain, until he had let out a growl so low, she knew he was already breaking. Lorraine was idly observing from afar, amusing herself with the sight of the familiar, when there finally came his growl. She walked near him, inviting herself in to his distraction. There has always been a thin line that divides the young boy in what he is and what he wants himself to be - a line so transparent that he could not decipher himself anymore. ”Let go, Lucan. It’s the easiest way.” Her arms at her side as she uttered, before breaking a smile.
The craving had begun early that morning, leaving the boy restless and exhausted. The growing hunger gnawed away at his thoughts and all five of his senses as the day wore on but nothing he did could dissipate the feeling. Not even the drugs he had taken an hour or two ago. What normally left him dull and unfeeling only intensified the innate craving. He had felt this before, but it had never been this bad. He'd always been able to overcome it. He wasn't so sure if he could now. Lucan brought a shaky hand to his lips, taking a drag of his cigarette. It did nothing for him; the agitation was evident on his face.
His gaze flickered to the girl before him. He hadn't heard her approach and he hated that she was trying to speak to him when he was evidently trying to keep himself from falling to pieces. He knew he was only holding on by a thread. His face scrunched up in a mixture of confusion and disdain. How did she know his name? But then he almost laughed. Of course she knew his name. Who didn't in this town? He sneered at her as he blew the smoke from his lungs and flicked the butt angrily towards the ground.
"Let go of what?" He asked, irritated, but there was fear behind his eyes. He didn't know what would happen if he did. And that scared him immensely.

Very easy to tease and definitely very easy to wind up. It was something Alessia disliked about her self greatly but no matter how hard she tried it was two traits she couldn’t shake. Her eyes rolled at his response, a tiny smirk of her own pulling at the corners of her lips. “Pfft,” The small noise escaped. “That’s information I do not have to tell you~” Alessia fiddled with the leather strap on her shoulder that was attached to her bag. “Yeah? And how would you know?” The playfulness was back in her voice now, the banter continuing. She was going to like this school, she could tell. “Plus, you’re doing pretty terrible yourself. Shouldn’t stalking be something that is secretive and sly? And yet here you are out in the open, talking to me,”
Lucan rolled his eyes up towards the ceiling, the amused smile still glued to his face: right. "It must be something good if you won't tell me." He responded, his eyes falling back to her curiously. Or maybe she didn't have one. Maybe she wasn't as innocent as she looked. He doubted it, though. Lucan arched his brow at her questions, an incredulous look on his face. "Isn't it obvious? And I never said I was stalking you. But sometimes you want them to know they're being followed. It scares them." He shrugged, his eyes narrowing on her as if he was trying to mysterious or dropping a hint. Not that he realistically planned on stalking her. He had better things to do with his time than follow a girl around. "So where are you heading? Or do you plan on working on that lock some more." He asked, nodding towards her locker before catching her gaze once more.
