Nephews came up for their monthly trip to the Rose Bowl, woke up at 3:30a cause they couldn't lock my door, and now I have a movie to see at 9:15a.
Is this my World Cup? Cause I'll wake up early for movies, concerts, and road trip for food. Lol

I really want to clean out my closet and dresser. I don't know why I'm holding on to some things. Like I'm not going to wear them but I can't seem to let go. Really where's Mari Kondo when I need her?
In fact..she did bite me cause..cat 😺 😂❤️
I went into a reading slump in June. Kind of made up for it in July.

Hot Chocolate on Thursday was excellent and highly recommend if you want a fast comfort read.
Gotta ice my knee today.
It almost gave out. I had to work at the warehouse the last 3 business days so I pushed it.
Also, been trying to go workout since doctor told me I should just wear it out since I'll have knee surgery in November
Now I need to figure out time off and everything
It's still so hot on LA. I can't sleep even though I have a bunch of fans going and even had the AC on for a bit..but it's so loud it also just keeps me up.
Took some magnesium so hoping that kicks in soon cause I have a hard day tomorrow
Geez Louise I've been exhausted all week. And now it's Friday and I just want to sit on couch and be a potato in front of the AC cause it's been hot AF 🥵
I had to go to one of our locations that feels like forever away and commuting is also especially exhausting.
I have to go back next week and hoping I can just get it done but also I like to leave before the real traffic starts.
Anyway, time to be a potato.

Behind the nostalgia lies an uncomfortable truth: Every record is made of oil.
Up on Longreads today is an excerpt from Kyle Devine’s new book, Recomposed: Music, Climate, Crisis, Change, published by @versobooks. As vinyl’s popularity has surged over the decades, so has scrutiny of its environmental cost, and the music industry’s efforts to address it. In this excerpt, Devine visits a record-pressing plant, taking a look at one business working to green the industry.
Billy is keenly aware of the problems of plastic pollution, and he knows what it means to make records from petroleum products. ‘People talk about vinyl and wax, and it sounds cool,’ he says, 'but there is no getting around that vinyl records are PVC and every one that I make adds to the plastic in the world.
Devine is the author of Decomposed: The Political Ecology of Music and a professor in environmental studies and dean of graduate studies at the University of Winnipeg. Read our excerpt, “Vinyl in the Veins,” on Longreads.
