Obviously we all failed our minecraft year challenge.
We all agreed to start making other Minecraft posts though. Of creative worlds, our one year worlds, and other worlds we're working on.
helloo
I had most of the blocks striped from the stronghold at this point and I wanted to make a nicer entrance to the stronghold so I worked on lowering the floor of my mine. First I used dirt to decide how much wider I wanted the center area, and I also made the level before it narrows wider too. (Now there's a sort of overhang there)
My stair way started out kind of centered and i decided to do a spiral staircase around the outside wall instead.
It was a long way down, any mine-able items I found in the walls or stairs I left (I can always go back later) because I thought it looked cool!
As I was nearing the bottom I found some lava (And a zombie) behind the wall and then finally I reached the bedrock.
When you look up from the bottom the darkening effect of the bedrock really shortens your visibility distance but from the top you dont have that same problem.
More stripping blocks from the stronghold.
I found a creeper stuck/hiding under some stairs, luckily I noticed him before I got too close. I also found some random goodies (Iron, gold, emeralds) and a chicken? like really far underground? I'm not even sure how he got there. Apparently we're mining the same area I guess. I also found a mineshaft hiding behind some strong hold blocks.
I swear I think I'm removing more slimes then I am blocks. There have been a ton spawning down here. (must be the open areas?) Anyways It's helping me collect a ton of slime balls which are great for leads and eventually sticky pistons (ALSO I hear when the new update goes live you will be able to make slime BLOCKS which is pretty awesome)
You can see what a lot of the stripped rooms look like with just silverfish blocks left over. I'm also ending up with a ton of doors both wooden and iron. I won't have to craft one for a while.
That's all for now
TTFN!
Look at all the coal and iron that I found, and that gap in the ground, it is the entrance to my mine! I found all of those raw materials in that one place, making it the largest sum of coal that I have found yet. It may not seem like a lot, but I do not spend that much time mining in one sitting. I always end up clearing places so I can build new things when I feel like building. This may be the reason that I have not found anything better than iron.
I'm quite a bit behind on my posts. (Gotta edit photos gah)
SO I'm going to try and get a lot ready to go today and maybe make a post a day for a few days? (That's the plan, I don't make promises)
ANYWAYS on with the post:
Here's a zombie dungeon I found while clearing blocks. There were two chests (You can see the contents in the pic) I eventually went back and collected all the mossy cobblestone.
The next two pics are all just mining the blocks out of the stronghold. It took a long time with lots of side expeditions to ease the tediousness of it. I'm going to be posting all posts about striping the stronghold first and then post about all the things I did in between.
I found a few emeralds and some slimes. I blocked off some mined areas with cobblestone fences so I knew where I'd been and where there were no cave entrances. Usually I ignore silverfish blocks completely, but when I spawn them I like to climb up on a two high stack of gravel or dirt and kill them from up above. As long as you don't fall off it's the safest way to kill them since it's easy to be overwhelmed by silverfish.
Hellooo
First I have some pics of a village I found. There was a hole in the ground nearby so I filled it in. I found a savannah closer to home and a neat cave opening too.
I included a picture of a grid map I made. I added the notations of what my different symbols mean. I used this while I was travelling to maximize the number of old areas I could visit on my way back to my new home.
And lastly the first picture out of a huge group of stronghold mining. (seriously there's a lot it took forever) also a connecting cave I found and a hallway I missed exploring when I thought I was done with the stronghold.
More to come soonish.
After dropping off my goodies I went back out to revisit one or two more "huts" I'd built to make sure I didn't leave any inventory behind and it brought me through some areas I hadn't visited before.
I found a savanna closer to home and a neat lava fall. (And some horses.)
I also found a ton of ravines and cows. (Usually not at the same time)
And I found my way back to an old hut and all of the sudden a bunch of dogs appeared around me. I had lost them a long time ago and figured I would never get them back but I must have gone in range of where they were left. (Also a cool mountain formation and lots of pigs)
Enjoy <3
Hello! I am finally back with a post, but sadly, it’s not a post about my “writing room.” This post is for the porch that I built for the back of my house. As you can see I used at least three types of wood to give it some color, and it was what I had on me at the time, which was fine by me. I wanted to give my home more of a rustic look, which is what my whole area is, farmland. I hope you enjoy the pics!
just thinking, maybe we can look into doing a twitch stream/videos now and again if anyone's interested.
Hi guys!
First off, let me be really excited and tell you about how I found diamond! FINALLY! 8 blocks, too! So I have extras after making a diamond pickaxe!
After that exciting adventure below ground I decided to go fishing. During that time I found an enchanted fishing rod and I found a book to enchant shoes, so I went back home and built me an anvil to enchant my awesome boots.
After that I went exploring, mostly looking for the slimes I can never find. After finding the edge of the old world/start of the new world, I finally found a swamp I stayed over night in. In the morning I happened to find a slime that dropped 6 slimeballs! On the way back I saw a really nice view of my home. I ended up with a really small picture just to make sure I got a good view of everything! But you can see the aqueduct to the farm, and my little trailer, along with the mountain I dug into.
That's it for me! Next I may be working on my farm now that I can make leashes!
I was still exploring/revisiting old areas and made it back to my mineshaft. I decided to go exploring in it again for a bit since I never fully explored it.
While exploring I'm a fairly cautious person. I block off any tunnel openings with dirt or sand. (so it's easier to dig up later) I noticed a few cave spiders so to look around I put a few glass panes in so I wouldn't be surprised by anything. (It's easy to be overwhelmed by cave spiders if you've never had that unpleasant experience.) I also had a glitchy creeper that kept falling through the ceiling. Also there were a few minecarts with treasure chests :D
The last picture you can see me destroying a spider spawner. (also lots of spiders and webs). And my final inventory before setting out. The treasure chest is all that I ended up with before moving on, and the picture of the mule's inventory is what I ended up bringing home with me.
Also short comment
We've sort of fell out of doing challenges. (Especially from our long list) but we will continue to have voting challenges!
Our next one will be for building a farm (not the planting kind- the animal raising kind!)
Prizes and exact end date tba. (Sooner rather then later!)
I was thinking about what I wanted to do with my stronghold. (Before I decided to strip it) and passed the time first by planting and harvesting *TONS* of each type of tree. And then backtracking and checking some of my old "huts" for any inventory I may have left behind. (nothing worth noting so far)
While exploring I stumbled onto some really neat areas I hadn't been before. Found a witch's hut that actually had a witch in it! I also saw a forest fire in a roofed forest. And tons of cows. I killed a lot of them for leather.
Travelling on I also found an awesome lava fall that fell from above the cloud layer and some other neat formations.
I explored my stronghold completely (Already oops that was quick) I still haven’t decided If I’m going to strip it down and collect the blocks, repair it, or leave it alone.
I found a few treasure chests, nothing really amazing unfortunately :c
There were a few caves in the middle of my stronghold. I also found another mineshaft. And I got attacked by some skeletons. (But I won muahahaha)
I found two large libraries, a lava fall in a hallway, and an end portal. I really got unlucky with the portal. They can spawn with up to 6 eyes already in them and I’ve got none. Boo.
I usually strip it! like even the stone Bricks, get the cracked bricks and mossy bricks, the books, the bars, the doors, chests, webs, ect. But, I am a pack rat
Yea I'm thinking that what I'll probably do is strip all of it except a path to the portal. (Might as well keep that a bit fancy ^^)

Hello! Sorry I disappeared on you guys! I promise, I'm back!
Now... the update happened and I heard the horror stories from Mooing about what the update did to the world. Which I found out first hand. You can see what the update did to me. I was fairly upset.
BUT you can also see what I found when exploring! I found an area of flat stone, a neat looking mountain, some dark woods with the mushrooms, and at the bottom is two pictures of a flower forest I found! I have a stack of each flower I could find.
Future update may have me moving since I like building and I am not very happy with what I've built so far.
