Just another day for Lunar.
Lunar's alarm went off for the fourth time. She tried to hit the button knocking everything off the nightstand. Blade came sliding into the room and slammed into Lunar's bookcase, making most of the items on it fall.
"Mom you gotta wake up before the grumpy man calls again."
It took a second before Lunar realized who Blade was talking about. Once she figured out who she scrambled out of bed trying to hurriedly put on her armor. As she was putting her boots on she tripped over one of the knickknacks Blade had dropped on the floor and tripped and fell on the floor. Lunar groaned as Blade walked over placing a muffin on her head.
"That lady with the cool knives stared making them at four in the morning."
Lunar's eyes widened in horror as she jumped up to see the damage Shadow had done to her kitchen. She rounded the corner and slowly followed the muffin batter train up her wall and atop her ceiling. As she looked up she seen several muffins stuck to the ceiling by throwing knives. She slowly turned her head to a flour covered Shadow sitting at her table.
Shadow.... how did you get in my house?"
"Blade let me in when I bribed him with snacks."
"Ok better question. Why did you make muffins in my house..... again?"
"I've never made muffins in your house.. Last time it was a cake. But after that didn't work out so well."
Lunar looked at Shadow and noticed it had probably been awhile since she had slept.
"How long has it been since you slept?"
"I don't know I stopped counting after three."
"Three days?! Go to bed!"
"Don't tell me what to do! I'm gonna stay up forever!"
As she yelled that she slumped forward and passed out. Blade walked out holding a bottle of sleeping pills.
"Ah they finally kicked in. I've been sneaking them into her drinks all morning. I was about to try a tranquilizer next."
"I.... ok um... we'll talk about that later I have to get going. Make sure she doesnt... die?"
Blade poked Shadow and heard her murmur.
"She'll be fine mom. She'll be up and outtake here in an hour or so."
"I don't even want to know why you know that."
Lunar grabbed her helmet and walked out the door. She got in her ship to head to Io and called Asher.
"Where have you been I've been trying to contact you all morning?!"
"What's wrong? Miss me that much?"
".......just hurry up and get here. *click*"
Lunar chuckled knowing he missed her but wouldn't admit it. She sighed and headed to Io to do some more research for Asher and to spend time with him. She was getting less time with him not that she was helping out doing missions with Shadow and raising Blade. But she'd admit she loved having that little goofball around.
She arrived on Io and headed out to the research site, ready for another normal day of gathering data.
