Why do clothing designs become less feminine as the targeted age goes up? The girls’ section of clothing stores is filled with pink polka dots, glittery tutu fabric, girly prints, Barbie graphics, ribbons, bows, and Hello Kitty. Meanwhile every women’s section is abound with beige, black, burgundy, deep plums, etc…it’s not fair! Why is it assumed that because I’m no longer 9 years old that I wouldn’t want Disney Princess pajamas? Or a ruffley pink polka dot miniskirt? WHY?
