What I’ve learnt this year...

So far this year I have learned so very valuable lessons that i felt had to be shared.

1. you can start your assignment as early as you want, you’re still gunna spend the same amount of time on it and still gunna stress cos you hit a wall and give up then have a breakdown because you have a week left, 1000 words still to write and a poster to make...

2. dont have scissors around when you are having a breakdown.  You will cut your hair and you will fuck it up and cut it too short

Lecturer told us today to let her know if we were gunna do all nighters so she could alter our work load so we can finish our assignment...

Hahaha ahh hunny you don't get it... I'm gunna be doing all nighters regardless. I'm a mess 😂

Assignments and references

Seriously... how the fuck am I meant to find references on how Pavlov’s ideas of classical conditioning relates to teaching science in the secondary school in the UK?!  I’m losing my mind.  Even the basics I can’t find.  Its so frustrating!  Anyone got a reference saying that kids never draw graphs in pencil because I’m losing it over here...

Only at post grad could you spend days on a 500 word draft of a lit review, hate it, rewrite it and hate it again only to realise its not your writing you have the problem with; its that you have no idea what the fuck is going on

It's midnight on a Saturday night and what am I doing? Reading journal articles and books about how kids learn... Someone remind me it's gunna be worth it in the end because so far this course is kicking my ass 😭

Finally got to venture on to campus to get my new student ID and decided to wear my check shirt despite it being 27 degrees outside just because it made me look super gay 🤦

How the hell did I go from the closeted kid offended cos someone called her gay to the raging demisexual biromantic that I am trying to look as gay as possible 🤦😂

A little tip for people who wanna start teacher training. When they say you have work to do at your own pace for a day don't get up at 12 and start the work at 2... Its all fun and games till it's half 10 at night and you're still going 😭

If my course has taught me anything so far it's the ability to rearrange my desk constantly as a form of procrastination 😂

Now thanks to Miss Rona I'm currently studying from home so I spend all day at a desk...

...Yeah I just stood up and hit the deck but rather than letting myself fall I grabbed the sofa and tried to stop myself. I've now dislocated my shoulder 😂

Losing my shit starting teacher training

So I’m in my first week of teacher training and this shit is INTENSE and it has driven me here.  I’m just a 21 year old having a breakdown over becoming a teacher so I’m here to moan and find my fellow people.

No one tells you how hard teacher training is.  My degree was so easy but last night I stayed up at my desk till 1am going through powerpoints and research articles sent by my lecturers while my friends tried to convince me to go to the pub so now I am here, scrolling through tumblr and documenting my decent into insanity.  

Oh I’m also here for the memes.  Ya girl needs a laugh
