i identify as a dominant omega, which for me means that i do not have the stereotypical submissive urges of other omegas. ofc this varies person to person, but thats how i feel about it

I've seen this a lot in therian, alterhuman and nonhuman social canine spaces and I think its something worth talking about.

A pack is just a family, its not this magical group so many younger folks make it out to be. My pack is full of humans because I am the only nonhuman, you don't have to be with other nonhumans to be in a pack.

It's also something you shouldn't form with strangers, pack bonding is intimate and familial. I don't think you should be making packs with strangers.

You also don't need a pack, its quite normal for younger wolves (and other social canines) to be loners for a bit until they form a pack of their own.

Packs aren't this big thing with hierarchy and structure and rules. Packs are literally just families, if you have a family you have a pack, its as simple as that

realised last night that ive been invested in omegaverse as a concept for close to a decade now

like the first ever omegaverse story i wrote, i did for nanowrimo 2018, and i know that i was thinking about it for a long time before that

idk it just feels weird? meaningful? to realise how long omegaverse was part of my life even before i realised i could be misce

would it be okay to use misce/abo to cope? i'm not alterhuman but the idea of being an omega (or beta/gamma) makes me happy. nesting in particular and smelling a certain way sounds very nice to me. i dunno how to really say it but acting like an omega would be really calming and fun for me, like a stress reliever. sorry if this is stupid to ask ;-;

Why act, when you can be, friend ? If you do omegan shit then become one of us. I'm pretty sure most people in this community use a lot of misce stuff as a way to regulate and self soothe.

The misce world is not closed practice. You can take as little or as much as you like to form your own identity, pass times, copy mechanisms, etc.

Yes!! Misce is not an exclusively involuntary identity, in fact i’d say that most people use it as a coping mechanism/way to self soothe, myself included.

I like being a misce alpha because it gives me somewhere to put my unconventional preferences in how i interact with myself and others, e.g. my high protective instincts + sensory seeking behaviors + inclination towards physical affection, in a way that makes me feel comforted and seen instead of embarrassed or isolated :)) Do whatever you want forever!!!!

I think about owning land and living on it with my pack

Everyone having everything they need, living in our own houses, maybe having a main lodge for whole group activities and community events, holidays, birthday's, just getting to celebrate as a pack.

Growing our own food, in our dirt. People raising animals if they want, sharing it all.

Getting to run around and be free, without worry.

Building forts and dens around the property, having trails we can walk on.

Just having space for my pack where we can be safe and happy and care for each other and be creatures like we want to be

sidcros and cmd hugging is actually hilarious to watch because it’s so obvious they are both trying to nuzzle into the other’s neck but there can only be one neck-nuzzler per embrace so they’re just pushing their heads at each other

And I think I like omegaverse so much bc it affords a release from my real life hyper independence. The thought of always having someone to lean on bc you're biologically wired to grow community to the point of DEATH if you do not learn to foster family, friends, and like-minded people,,,, yes, huge fan of that. I love clearly established, well balanced hierarchy. I love rules and regulations that benefit the whole instead of the individual. I love clear communication that leaves less room for misunderstanding. And yes I like all the weird shit that comes with omegaverse too - but I dream of being understood in an effortless way, by people who harbor nothing but love and affection for me.
