Incredible, but true: @eidolondearest deserves to have a good day today.
There She Goes || Will & Lily
Will met her gaze warmly, before letting out a quiet chuckle. Perhaps she had misinterpreted him; or perhaps he hadn’t made it all too clear. She hadn’t come off as someone who needed help in the least, but he was happy to if she did. Tilting his head, he stated firmly, “There is no doubt, my lady. You are far more fitting of the leading role than that of one sitting high up in a tower.”
He blinked once. Blinked again. Lily? He nearly could have snorted at the coincidence, had it not shown a lack of etiquette. So it was not ‘Une rose au milieu d'un champ de coquelicots,’ at all! Une fleur de lys au milieu d'un champ de coquelicots, hmm? It seemed to match her a million times moreover.
“Ms. Reynolds.” He bowed playfully, before gazing up at her. “Charming name, indeed. If you do not need any assistance, please allow me to at least accompany you.”
“I am glad that we have come to an agreement in which role I play in this storyline. Hehehe “ She cheekily giggled at his words while placing a hand on her mouth, Will was becoming someone quite funny and amusing to her with each passing minute. “And what role do you play, Will? “ She humored the thought of him being the princess up in the tower, (He would look cute in a dress, but it wouldn't fit him at all. ) but he probably would boldly jump out of one just as he did with his own home. Quite the adventurer he was, wasn’t he? Lily seemed entertained enough. “Would you follow a near-stranger you’ve just met? You seem quite daring, darling. Well, I am feeling a tad bit parched-” she dramatically placed her hand over her forehead for effect, imitating the emotion of distress. “-would you care escort me out to lunch? Don’t worry, I can handle my own bill.” She smirked, as she warmly spoke. “I could always use a bit of company.”
Not all that glitters is gold
||Smoke|| Lily & Marian
Marian clasped the old lighter shut and stuffed it back into his pocket. He cupped his chin with his thumb and index finger, flashing the lady a friendly smile: he liked her attitude.
She came off as kind of cocky in the way that she knows what’s best for her and no one can tell her otherwise – not even a doctor. She also seemed to have this sincerely eager desire to learn about everything around her. After all, she could have just lit her cigarette, given him her thanks, and walked away but no. Here she was, asking him all these questions about himself, and who was he? Just another person…
Of course, he wasn’t going to pass up the opportunity to chat though.
“It doesn’t bother me, honey.” He said, waving a hand in the air. “I quit for several reasons: I couldn’t breathe, my skin was a wreck, I always smelled like smoke, it’s such an expensive addiction – I just couldn’t take it anymore personally. Besides, what would it say about my practices as a doctor if I smoked?”
Shooting her an artful smile, Marian asked,”What made you start? And I also noticed that you were interested in my lighter. Are you a collector of some sorts?”
“Those are valid reasons for anyone to quit or even smoke at all!” She laughed, placing her hands on her hips. Honestly Lily was a woman of character. “It’s nice to know a doctor practices good health, I’ve met plenty whom were a bit of a hypocrite in my travels. I don’t have the means to judge them though- nicotine is a hard habit to get rid of.” Lily noted to herself to ask where did this lady get her makeup, although she didn’t sport it much on her own- that lipstick honestly complimented the doctor’s style. “Me? “ Her eyes widened a little, a bit amused that the kind lady had interests in keeping a conversation. “I was a bit of a rebel, trying to be more like my father. If men could have the luxury of smoking, why cannot I? “ She had a bit of a cheeky grin, ironically her father was more of a prim and proper kind of man...with a hidden agenda. But that was all in the past, really. “When I took my first smoke, It felt quite liberating. “ She flipped her hair back. “I do have a penchant for treasure, and a ever growing curiosity of how things are. So yes, I must say I was interested in your lighter- it looks pristine- must be of high value to you. Perhaps sentimental, really?”
There She Goes || Will & Lily
Une rose au milieu d'un champ de coquelicots. His smile stretched from ear to ear and he feared that it would threaten the curve of the moon at this rate. Charming, charming. Will quietly noted that she held herself up with an air of alluring savoir-vivre, sophistication and tact amongst licking flames. What an honor it was to have her spare a few words.
His sapphire eyes crinkled in amusement, undertones of curiosity glinting on the surface. Taking a quick trip down to ground level, Will dusted his hands and courteously offered one to shake hers. Mornings brought bars of light through parted curtains, chirping birds and fluttering feathers, but, on rare occasion, it would grace him with something– or in this case someone– even more beautiful than nature’s charming gestures.
“I don’t know if I’d call it a skill…” He tapped his chin in faux-contemplation. He shrugged playfully, as though he had reached a state of comfortable nonchalance. “For whenever I do catch up to a damsel in distress, I recognize that they can do exceedingly well on their own, haha!”
“Sometimes, all they need is a hand to guide them in the right direction, after all.” Smirking at her resilience (and her silly pun), he slid a hand into his pocket to complete his look of leisure. She had quite a wit to her, but it wasn’t too hard to recognize this from the way she strode with unspoken confidence in her own abillity. “A fair maiden such as yourself is no exception.”
“And, if I may be so bold to ask, what might your name be?” He had been caught up in meeting her face to face, that he had managed to miss her name entirely. But it would be a bit peculiar to have asked two stories up while staring down at her, right? He nearly snorted at the very idea of it. In fact, had he been distressed, the very scene on his balcony would have made a wonderful role reversal.
But he believed he was far from distressed at the moment.
As a woman whom had plenty of experience under her non existent belt in regards to social etiquette, she firmly shook his hand. “Perhaps all they need is a push instead.” She giggled, his way of speech perplexed her- did he think he was some sort of fairy tale prince? Honestly, he did fit the image of one to a T. Blonde hair, blue eyes--even his complexion suited the look. “ Cute. But with what I just said, this ‘damsel’ is more of a leading lady instead. “ Her grin was sly, little did this gentleman in front of her would know; is that she could probably take him down in a good twenty seconds. Or so she thought. Lily possessed great strength mentally and psychically. “Lily.” Her eyes were glued on his. What’s in a name? She honestly didn’t care what he may had done with giving her information, since she knew a bit of his. “Lily Fang Reynolds if you would like to know my whole name, Mister Will Regison. “
18.5.15 Diary do tell, What treasures shall I find today? People are quite facinating creatures I admit. I suppose Altelia is a place where people are more than willing to lend out a hand. One doctor lent me a light, and the other Will was his name- seemed to be a carefree indivdual. I’m glad I moved here.

There She Goes || Will & Lily
Crisp morning air was just the medicine he needed to go about his day. He leaned against the balcony, sipping some fresh coffee he had whipped up earlier. Balcony flowers well watered? Check. Apartment straightened out? Oui! Not that he was expecting any visitors of the sort; he was just a chip of morning sunshine.
Wisps of steam floated daintily from his cup. Though there wasn’t anything of piquing interest in sight, he couldn’t help but feel satisfied with the day, just the way it was. He had an afternoon shift at Hearty Lyla, so this was a rare moment of solitude for one always so busy.
But as it was, Will was in a particularly hearty mood today, one of which could not be satisfied with simply gazing at the top of trees and lamp posts. Finishing off his drink, he set the cup down on the small outdoor tea table. Just when he was about to slide down the balcony ladder, his gaze blanketed over an unfamiliar beauty, of whom he had never seen around these parts. Before he lost a moment’s breath, he called out in a polite welcome.
“Hello, down there!” He waved with his free hand, with an easygoing grin tugging on his lips. Sliding down the ladder playfully, he landed smoothly on a first story balcony. “I have never seen such a fair maiden such as yourself around these parts!”
“If you need assistance of any kind, please do ring me up. Will Regison, at your service, my lady.”
Her hips swayed from side to side as the woman went on and about on her stroll. There were always new places to discover and unravel in this city. To be honest, she was heading back from the Junk Shop- Another man’s junk could be another woman’s treasure. Unfortunately, Lily left empty handed. Perhaps another day. This wasn't going to bring her down. She was observing her surroundings, this area in town deemed more convenient for the woman with every passing moment due to the places that she could possibly visit. Lily adored her own living quarters- for they were close to the rumored part of town. Although Selphia district was quite peaceful, a bit too quiet in her opinion. The raven haired lady placed a hand on her chin in thought, grazing her thumb amongst her lips slowly. Is there such a thing as magic? Her trail of thought was broken by a warm greeting. Lily removed her hand quickly from her mouth to turn her attention to the man. He was rather friendly, and he did not appear to be someone whom was trying to get in her- Wow. This was new. The way he slide down his ladder with enthusiasm, amused the exotic woman. What he said after tickled her ears. “Oh why thank you Will-” Her eyes looked a bit coquettish as well with her demure. Returning her hand back to her lips. He was rather handsome. But the way he presented himself had some charm to it. Lily could sense no ill will in his words. Such a strange man. Lily laughed. “You seem to have a skill for catching a damsel while shes in distress, don’t you?” Her smooth, silky, laughter died down as she responded to him in such a playful tone. “ I would have to say I am perfectly capable of handling my own weight, but I appreciate you being ever so willing.”
||Smoke|| Lily & Marian
Marian was out enjoying this beautiful day in Altelia City when suddenly, someone called out to him. He turned around and before him he found a beautiful woman with long, black hair.
“Hey there, honey. How can I help you? Oh–!” When he noticed the cigarette tucked between the girl’s fingers, his friendly expression turned into one of concern due to his nature as a doctor, then one of endearment due to his fond memories of the past. Marian had smoked too, once upon a time. It didn’t last too long due to his concern with his complexion, but he had friends who continued to smoke – who probably still smoke to this day. He knew the look on her face all too well. An unfamiliar face with a cigarette in their hand and an expression of hopefulness: this lady needed a light.
“tsk, tsk, tsk…” Marian said, winking at the young woman as he waved a finger in the air. “Smoking is bad for you, you know? Why subject your body to something as harmful as cigarettes, especially for someone as beautiful as you?”
He paused for a moment, remembering the days when he smoked and not a single soul had a light on them. It was frustrating – infuriating even.
Keeping his friendly smile, Marian rummaged through his pockets to unearth an antiqued zippo lighter – a keepsake if you will, from an old friend. He remembered his friend’s words exactly: “Marian, this is a very special lighter. I’m giving it to you because I know you wouldn’t lose it like you’ve lost the cheap ones you’re always buying and then begging for a damn light. Don’t lose this lighter!”
Marian never did lose that lighter. It held too much sentimental value. Even after he’d quit, he continued to carry it with him everywhere he went. He never thought he’d be using it again though, not until today.
He struck his delicate finger against the flint wheel, and the smell of fluid rose from the lighter. After several attempts, a small but determined flame awoke. He held the flame out to the beautiful woman so that she could light her cigarette.
“As a doctor, I can’t say that I approve but I won’t sit here and lecture you. After all, I used to smoke myself. I know how frustrating it can be to look for a light when you need it.”
Lily was slightly taken aback by the features of that woman, admiring them. She was really pretty, who knew pink hair was a thing? That was neat. Lily quickly inspected how the person was, how they carried oneself-perhaps even if the trench coated woman did not have a light- it’d be okay- the conversation would be something to enjoy at the very least. She was no stranger to anyone. Keeping calm composure from that remark, Lily coyly smiled while she mentally rolled her eyes- Yes, mam’ I do know it’s bad for little ol’ me but I do what I want with my body. I bow to no one.She had given the good woman a small nod. “Well I appreciate your kind words and advice--Oh”Lily stated coolly until she had seen the woman pull out one of the most neatest little treasures she’s ever laid her eyes upon. The fire was dancing on the metal- the black haired woman placed her cigarette on it by instinct. “Thanks.” She tilted her head with a small wry grin, it was a bit cheeky to a degree- as if she were some sort of tiger. Bringing the cigarette onto her lips she realized why the good doctor reprimanded her. Makes sense. “You were only doing your job.” Her eyes trailed to the side. “Although what kind of doctor helps one with bad habits? ” She giggled softly. Finally getting her fix of nicotine, she blew her smoke in the opposite direction of the wind. “A doctor whom probably wants to earn your respect, I like that.” She answered her own question by her own opinion. “I apologize if this bothers you,” it was only natural for a smoker to say, after all the doctor did cure her fix. “ So what made you quit?”
||Smoke|| [ Open ]
Sigh. The cool calming breeze of a spring day gives people reasons to step forth and venture outside. Clouds were overcast, but the warmth still was very prominent in the surroundings. It was a nice day for a walk. Good for adventure. A woman, tall and slender; possessed the kind of frame that many others would be envious of.Her ravenous hair followed the breeze behind her while she picked up her box of matches to light up her cigarette. Striking on the box, the flame immediately flickered out. She perused her lips. There were only two more matches. Strike, and there it goes out like a light. The sun shined on through the clouds, how ironic. She groaned, there was only one left. And well, with nothing left to lose- perhaps a bad habit- It wasn't very lady like for a woman to smoke, but who gives a damn? The woman attempts to strike it once again. “Aha!” The flame was strong, much like her inner fire. Immediately she brought her cigarette to the stick and unfortunately her grip on the match slipped on those slightly calloused hands- burning one of them as the items fell to the ground. She winced from the tiny pain, but it was more so that she wasted her kick. Oh well. Shaking off her right hand, the blacked haired woman bent over and picked up her cigarette- did not want to waste it. Perhaps someone may have a light? Surely she could bring up a conversation to a random stranger, engage in some small talk- figure if they have what she needed and thanked them and move on. Lily wasn’t afraid of anyone or anything, so talking to strangers was easy. “Oh! Pardon me --”
