Kaladin from the Stormlight Archive! From squad leader to radiant. He’s so difficult to draw because his look changes all the time, but that also makes it fun!
Woops my hand slipped ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
ah, here are some quick ones from Kal’s storyline The Unclaimed Hills | First Bridgerun | Field Surgeon | A Reminder to Live
I know, they carry the bridges on their shoulders, but I wanted to try something composition-wise , so I went with one of the moments they lift it. … Behold, our martyr, Lord and Savior – the Stormblessed… I am quite happy with the last one. Makes me hungry for campfires, stew and bantering.

playing dnd with my dads cishet friends blows because theyre way too into combat mechanics and dont understand that youre supposed to be having fun but on the other hand i play giant nonbinary firbolg necromancer named pickles mcburgersson who has orange hair and keeps resurrecting the enemies we kill and then gives them therapy and its baffling to all of these forty something men who have never actually had fun playing dnd
two human fighters, one elf wizard and a dwarf cleric (all white with names like eric von broghson and all of their backstories include dead daughters and a dragon) and pickles mcburgersson the bighuge nonbinary necromancer and their seven undead orcs dealing with childhood trauma having a party discussion

hozier really came out here and changed his link to his merch on his site to “take me to merch” and this is the best way to remember he’s a fucking millennial.

dare i say that stuffed animals are one of the single greatest inventions of all time and im thankful every day for the fact that someone thought to make animals but in huggable plush form…..saved me from a lot of bad nights and nightmares as a kid, i love you stuffed animals
You may offer your thanks to Magarete Steiff
She lived in Germany and could be considered as the first person to sew stuffed animals merly for children to play with and to counter the common “hard” toys out of wood or metal wich were popular back then.
There is even so much more to the story, because she was as you can see paraliezed from polio, she couldnt walk or use her right arm, she had to fight all her life just to be accpeted as a human being, she wasnt even allowed to sit in the front row of church in her home village and had a pretty abusive mother. One time she and her brother almost drowned but the townpeople only attempted to save her brother because he was healty. Her father saved her from drowning in last minute.
Only her father and brother stood behind her, still she learned to accept her faith and make the best out of it. After a failed operation she said she had gone around living this way anyways. She started to sew, more importantly she started to sew with a sewing machine wich was realy new at this time. People would not buy from her at first but then she made a realy beautyfull dress for her best friend and suddenly everyone was crazy for her work.
Then she started to sew little elephants as pincushions, but when she attempted to sell them around christmas she quickly realized that for one children were crazy for them and wanted them as toys and also. this was what she wanted to do, bringing happiness to kids.
She expanded futher and gave work to over 20 women as sewers in her factory, her brother helped her to do so, and she started producing stuffed animals of all kinds (almost) their trademark was a button sewed into every anmals ear. It still is to this day.
Whit the economy crisis her factory, and she almost lost it, she already couldnt pay her workers, he factory was about to be forceclosed and the last hope was a toy fair they would attend,
and then she had an idea, she sewed a bear, the very first stuffed toy bear there was, with moveable head and limbs and realy soft fur and glass eyes, it was beautyfull, but at the toyfair most people thoght it was to expensive
most people because one american buyer fell in love with the bears, he bought them all and he ordered 3000 more, it saved the factory
you may ask why would anyone need 3000 stuffed toy bears easy, to support and advertise the candidacy of Theodore Roosevelt as the U.S. president, trough that the toy bear invented by Magarete Steiff became well known as the
Teddy Bear
Disability history matters!
The fact that she faced so much ableism and discrimination in her life was indeed sad (and infuriating!) – and that may be the reaction of many abled people when they hear her story (the poor disabled little girl).
But the fact that she survived, and innovated, and brought modern machines to her hometown, and advocated for herself, and brought joy to so many people, in spite of that discrimination (and I do mean “spite”) is not sad at all.
It’s downright victorious!
I owe this woman my life stuffed animals are the best and I’m so glad to finally know who to thank for my babies

yknow i’ve been hearing the whole “there is no war in ba sing se” for literally ten years and still I wasn’t prepared for how sinister the city is!
god i absolutely love what they did here because it just further emphasizes the importance the show places on balance.
the city is the stubborn steadfastness of earth taken to its awful extreme: rules are rigid, social position is unchangeable, authority is absolute. this is what unchecked earth looks like.
it’s the same with the other elements. unchecked, the passion and drive of fire becomes the fire nation’s horrifying forever-war imperialism, the community-focus and adaptability of water becomes Hama’s trauma-driven crusade against the whole fire nation. even the free-flowing nature of air, the way it can find its way around obstacles, becomes Aang’s difficulty with facing his problems and feelings head-on.
none of the elements are bad! the only bad is in locking yourself so much into one kind of thinking that you can’t see the wisdom in others! gosh what a great moral!
A new player joined the party a few sessions ago, and she plays a pretty naive druid. The party was a quite hostile towards her at the start, and wouldn’t share party rewards with her because she ‘hadn’t earned their trust yet’. (Note: this was an in character thing, not out of character hostility. The new player was welcomed warmly!)
Now this player is also new to D&D, but they unfortunately rolled super low on their HP rolls, and also their character had a really low AC. So… she’s literally been KO-ed multiple times in each subsequent session (I honestly wasn’t trying to be mean, it just happened I swear!).
Anyway, last session the players finally reached the capital city of the country they’re in, and it’s a place they could complete many important quests… but the very first thing they did when they stepped inside the city walls is dragging this happy-go-lucky, confused druid to the nearest armourer and immediately buying her upgraded armour, a shield and better weapons.
Apparently the quickest way to earn a bunch a paranoid adventurer’s trust is by nearly dying every single day you’re with them.
It was this whole party effort too, and they were very serious about it, like they had talked about it beforehand. All these player’s handbooks open, counting money, having discussions about the best options. It was all paid for by their own money, because the druid didn’t have a penny to her name. And this new player was just sitting there like; ‘I don’t know what’s happening but this sounds like fun :D’.
It reminded me very much of bunch of concerned adults trying to bubblewrap a toddler, and the whole thing was very precious.
i just heard my mum say ‘you are very naughty’ and then a meow and then another softer ‘okay but next time there will be consequences’ and then another meow and then a ‘you’re right probably not’
Divinity: Original Sin 2
is a game on steam that has a very small fandom for absolutely no reason and i’m making this post to give attention to it for the amazing storytelling and gameplay. it is my all-time favorite game.
it’s a high-quality game with 40-80+ hours of content for a single playthrough that can be played with up to 4 friends, or you can play alone and control up to 4 party members by yourself.
it’s a fantasy game with a world similar to the dragon age series. in fact, it plays similarly too- the game is turnbased and plays much like the tactical mode from dragon age, except it’s pure turnbased/tactical rather than swapping to realtime. the world and quests are open just like dragon age as well.
you can make your own characters, or you can play as the preset origins that have been put into the game. the NPCs will act like other followers in games and have their own personalities, quests, and backstories. the characters are all bisexual and romanceable. many characters scattered through the world will also casually refer to their same-sex partners.
the best way to describe divinity is that it’s dungeons and dragons made into an actual game engine. non-combat stats certainly come in handy when you have to roll for a check to see if you were able to persuade a certain NPC. half of your team could be in combat while the other half are sneaking through the battlefield hidden under barrels. one party member can talk to an NPC while the other one pickpockets them unseen.
your party and your build will change the results of the game every time you play it- you can be kind and virtuous, you can rob every single NPC and become extremely rich, you can persuade yourself through events that would otherwise end in bloodshed, and you could even straight up kill everyone you come across.
classes and builds are fluid- you aren’t locked into any class and can experiment with new combos that haven’t been thought of before. for example, wielding a staff instead of a sword turns all warfare (basically the warrior tree)’s damage into whatever element the staff is, which is increased by your mage stats. you can be a tanky, in-your-face mage that explodes and sets the entire arena on fire.
anyway, thanks for reading! remember to save often and have multiple different saves!
