LUCIA “LOU” GALLO, FEMALE , SHE/HER, HOMOSEXUAL, 93 years old is a WEREWOLF in Hollywood. Some say that they resemble KATE SIEGEL. This one is known to be PRAGMATIC but can be CAUTIOUS. They work as a TECH DEVELOPER AND ASSISTANT FOR MYSTIC MEG. They have TAKEN their Oath with the Society. We hope that you’re prepared to do what you need to for fame.
I.
Lucia the werewolf was born to one wonderful and free-spirited Chiara Gallo. She was welcomed with open arms into the world by two of the most loving beings in the world, Chiara and who Chiara at the time thought was her mate: Carys Baro. The two were beyond happy to be able to raise a pup and keep building their life together, even if things weren’t sailing as smoothly as they wanted.
II.
Turns out, both Carys and Chiara were unknowingly Alphas and just could not get in sync. Neither one of them would submit, they loved each other with everything they had but they were constantly fighting, aggression would run rampant and it would spiral and become almost unbearable during full moons and whenever they were in their wolf forms. They thought Lucia’s arrival would fix things, the child they so desired but it just made things worse. Chiara’s hormones escalated things: they got even more territorial and irritable. A pregnant wolf was one thing, but a wolf protecting her pup? That was an entire new nightmare. She’d barely let Carys close to her, let alone the baby and the fights got even more bloody and insane.
III.
As Lucia – who chooses to go by Lou, gained some awareness, her mothers fights just got more vicious even if the love was still there. They tried bonding and that was when the truth came crashing down: they were both Alphas and they would likely never work in the way they wanted. While cruel, it was nature. But for the sake of Lou, one last Hail Mary effort was done to stay together.
IV.
Lou was a toddler, she did not understand. Mama sung to her in Italian and Mami sung to her in Spanish, and both were equally beautiful and vital and necessary. They might have been night and day, but she was a wolf and she needed them both. The sight of them all bloodied and agitated rattled Lou to her core and became a formative memory in ways she wouldn’t understand until she was a fully formed adult; influencing her personality and behavior.
V.
There were one too many close calls for Carys and Chiara around Lou, when their little girl would walk out looking for them in the middle of their raging scuffles and the two enraged werewolves barely noticed the tiny little thing. It was too dangerous and it had to stop. That was when Chiara took the most drastic measure and left Carys in the middle of the night. It was devastating but necessary and they tried to make the separation as amicable as they could for Lou, but things were very painful for Carys and the relationship that could have been was just never the same.
VI.
Lou and Chiara were an inseparable duo and Chiara would take her young pup all over the world in her eclectic lifestyle. The little girl grew up amongst artists and hippies and revolutionary thinkers. It wasn’t really the ideal environment for a child, but Chiara made it work. And it definitely rewarded Lou with a vast understanding of the world around her, a wisdom beyond her years and an open mind. Though there was always a lingering desire to just stay put for a little bit longer, to be less transient, to be more stable. It made her a little anxious having such little control over her future but she was definitely a mama’s girl and being without Chiara seemed like an impossible idea.
VII.
As Lou grew and Mystic Meg got more settled in Los Angeles, self discovery and growth got easier. Being closer to Carys and local werewolves made Lou feel like she had something to prove, like she wasn’t doing something right. She was too soft, too attached to her mother. She loved helping out with the show and creating the illusions but shouldn’t she have her own identity too? A little reluctantly, Lou decided to pursue something that up until now had just been a casual hobby. She had always been good with machines and processes and general understanding of things, technology was easy. Numbers and science were easy because they followed rules and had easy fixes. Every equation just has to have an explanation and a fix. Nothing ends up like a family torn apart because two Alphas together just had no solution.
VIII.
Somehow, she ended in CalTech. It was a joyous occasion and Lou did not fit in but she was so happy at an achievement that felt so very hers. She made friends. She partied. She discovered that she was indeed very gay and thus started a long cycle of love and heartbreak, girlfriends and flings that while painful just added more experience and normalcy to her life. Like her mom, Lou was a charmer, a smooth talker, and she knew how to be liked. Life was normal, she was growing into her own, strengthening her identity while trying to keep up with her wolf. Even though it seemed like she’d never amount to half as much as either one of her moms.
IX.
Graduating top of her class, Lou did not hesitate and started grad school right away. She was helping Chiara out with her shows, using her knowledge in tech to develop ways to improve her business. A full on science nerd, the young werewolf loved tampering with devices and the digital world to perpetuate the Mystic Meg illusions. But as a wolf she kinda still felt like a puppy, running after her mom, doing what was expected, shying away from the unknown. That was when she got the perfect opportunity to grow some more backbone; a scholarship to get her PhD at the Polytechnic University of Milan, all the way across the pond in Italy.
X.
Getting in touch with her Italian roots in the ancestral country was a dream and while homesick, Lou blossomed into a stronger werewolf. More confident, secure and feeling like she could do anything. But her presence also got noticed by a local pack of werewolves, a kind of which she had never met before. They were strict, fierce, ruthless and above it all, incredibly traditional. They saw supernaturals and especially werewolves as the superior species and would engage in practices that would range from terrorizing locals to disappearing them for no reason. Lou was oddly fascinated by them and when they decided to let her tag along with them, she made the mistake of ignoring her concerns and red flags about them.
XI.
Slowly, Lou alienated herself from her life back in Los Angeles. She started being less invested in her studies and her life revolved in following around this pack of werewolf supremacists. It was Fenna, the Alpha who took a special liking to Lou, saw potential in her power, her brain and her pedigree and was hellbent on making the young wolf her omega. But Lou was on the fence, she liked belonging but the way this pack did things was wrong. It went against everything her family had taught her and more than likely she was going to disappoint them.
XII.
Time and time again, Lou refused to bond with Fenna and the older werewolf did not take her rejection kindly. She already had a volatile temperament but Lou’s indecision made her even more aggressive. She became emotionally and physically abusive, leaving Lou in shambles at night, only for her to be visibly healed in the morning and the cycle could start back up. But Lou’s mind was a mess, she was scared and so very ashamed of the pattern she had fallen in and she did not have the courage to call her mom and ask for help. That was until her fear got so bad that she almost lost control of her wolf in the middle of a crowded piazza in broad daylight while thinking Fenna was about to pounce. The sight of children playing and families laughing that she could have harmed was too much. A couple of days later, she was calling Chiara for help and then she was back in LA.
XIII.
In someways it felt like she was back where she began, in others, Lou felt like a completely different being. She was again latched to her mother and the world around her had lost its wonder. There was no more sense of invincibility, for all intents and purposes she considered herself a failure. Facing her family was incredibly hard and she still felt like Fenna was going to show up and hurt her at every chance (even though Chiara had dealt with her). But after hitting rock bottom, maybe the only way was up.
XIV.
Lou stepped in as her mother’s assistant again, being more knowledgeable now about how to use her talents to boost it even more. Work kept her demons at bay, so she also became a freelance tech developer for several large companies around the city. Not long after came her little black card and she followed her mothers into The Society without skipping a beat. She needed more purpose, she had always wanted to be in the know and this was the perfect opportunity. She pledged loyalty and her abilities to the Queens, who in the era of technology saw her useful. Lou is constantly helping out with the digital cloaking of their supernatural world and more recently, putting her efforts into surveillance and identification of the hunters.
XVII.
Bold, suave and quick-witted Lou is on the path of finding herself yet again. Her mind is still a mess of paranoia, some PTSD and fear but when the fog clears and she can see herself and things clearly, she quite likes what she sees. Her family especially keeps her moving forward since she wants to be strong enough to protect them, be an asset and somebody they can be proud of. She just has to keep moving forward.
