My post defended the trans masc community is getting traction again, but this time with the toxic side of it so let me be clear- the trans masc community is one of the most kind and caring communities I've ever gotten to know. Them talk about their experiences being trans is not them talking over women's voices, it's them taking up space they deserve. If you've ever equated being a man with being a rapist, you disgust me. Transandrophobia is a real issue in our community and if that term bothers you try this one on, you're a fucking transphobes and you being trans doesn't excuse it. I'm really with you for all of this, it's needs to be said, all the way up to legitimising "transandrophobia" as a useful description of oppression. Trans men and trans masc people of course experience unique forms of oppression as a result of the ways in which their existence uniquely transgresses an oppositionally sexist society. But they do not experience an intersection of oppositional sexism and traditional sexism because being masculine or male is not disadvantageous in a traditionally sexist society. This is why transandrophobia as a term describes nothing new about sexism or transphobia. Furthermore when put alongside transmisogyny as if they are equivalent in implicit meaning, it passively strips transmisogyny of its original descriptive meaning as the intersection of two different axes of sexism.
