Some fans of certain media will comb thru all the canon material for their ship and be like "ohhh this is soooo much content we're being spoiled!!" and then you look over at them and *all* their content and its like
Extreme ghostbusters should’ve had another season because who wouldn’t want to watch the world’s worst polycule team up with bisexual college losers, to experience the horrors while committing a massive amount of property damage in the process
thinking about eduardo and his man again. I feel pretty tempted to begin a fic about them :)c
I love that part of their story right after they go from friends to whatever that they are, and they manage having to hide while desperately wanting to be honest and true to each other. hiding around in abandoned places on weekends to escape their parents, discovering the scene life together, skating around town. sharing one pack of cigarettes that marcus got from his shitty salary, meeting after work to share a blunt and fuck and talk about whatever. and it's always summer when they're together.
introductory post hello! so recently we realised just how popular we really are
We were on a newspaper headline. For the casualties.
and i was like. we should go on that site you use to repost sad sex stuff
Not true at all. Also you're generalizing.
and we should let strangers talk to us anonymously. it worked out great for you on omegle!
...
we'll have each other's posts filtered out in tags so we won't see them. it's STONE solid.
Which was his idea entirely, by the way.

Speak for yourself. I have chores

I love fashion, angry music and my cat. I'm all about the upsetting and the macabre. Movies, books, clothes and those scary games Eduardo got me hooked on. Trying my best to mingle with my freak folk and go out. Success is medium. 24/7 blasphemer.

eduardo's design for I LOVE GARBAGE! - my abandoned gory comic retelling THE RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD 3 also known as the worst movie in the world in a story to SFX ratio.
« Do you think he felt the hooks under his skin when he woke up? »
what if i told you that in summer 2025 i decided on making a comic retelling the story of the movie return of the living dead 3 starring kylie and eduardo and came up with an artstyle specifically for it's purpose, along with writing a first draft script of the first act and then beginning a second draft which i then entirely abandoned and i named it I LOVE GARBAGE!
here's eduardo's design ꩜
i also wrote a gory one shot about a murder they committed. question is, should i post it or does the internet have enough cursed art on it?
do you too sometimes think about all the undiscovered little stupid kids shows from the 90-00s and think about how. they could also be loved. and there is someone out there. who loves it so much more than i could ever imagine
That's amazing!!! It's always so much fun to uncover underappreciated art. In the case of XGB it's overlooked because it's fairly mediocre x) But that mediocrity is what makes it so malleable. There's so much free space to bring more of yourself in it because the original simply didn't fill the gaps.
Alienators is actually what prompted me to write that post lol. I think I just found it, watched an episode, and thought "somebody could be so passionate about this". It seems very fandomable! I then even checked the tag and you fellas have it worse than we do :')

# music log — 1
KOMSOMOLSK is funny and whimsical, tender and introspective, while stone solid standing on broken pavement amidst a gray paysage. a gem among russian pop-rock !
time to yap about a favourite of mine.
# LYRICS —
having the blessed curse of being multilingual it seems silly to write about them in english because the very best thing about them are the lyrics. yeah I'm outing myself as russian.
now, their writing isn't complex. its simplicity is part of the experience - its biggest claim is being contemporary. one would say that means it's due to age quickly and poorly, but I'd argue - especially as a person that got to grow through the last of their teenage years in the time period komsomolsk sing about - its doesn't age, it immediately turns into nostalgia.
one way I could describe their lyrics is grounded. they write about mundanity with love, sharing with the most basic and grim of russian paysages a piece of their soul. for a clear example I could use these songs:
• poslednee metro (the last metro)
• piatietajechka (five-story block)
• festival
they find meaning in their dull homes, the gray architecture around them and the shattered glass beneath their feet. their work is eager to find beauty in those little things we made our everyday routine. in the end it sounds nostalgic, including every familiar visual, outdated joke and literary reference with the tenderness that reminds me of the way I could one day see my eastern european home when I finally get out. it's longing for the present as if it were the past.
# SOUND —
longing, and youthful and fresh.
their albums vary in sound, but few things stay the same every time - there's a certain honesty to every song they write, along with the lyrics turning every song relatable (like in ayitso(egg) from RETRO which uses imagery of making ramen to yapp about existential thoughts occuring while waiting on the kettle to boil).
the choice of instruments changes each release drastically. would it be their signature guitar riffs for a juvenile and eager sound, the piano and the violin for BLIJNYI SVET and it's ethereal dreamlike imagery, or a grandiose trumpet of RETRO. i will be making a follow-up post to say a few words about each album separately !
its fun! most of it anyway. it's somehow both very grounded and optimistic. i love both their stuff with minimal mastering and the albums filled up with wind instruments and samples. when I want to feel better, think of the things I love, things I appreciate or want to appreciate more, or the people I share my life with, I put on komsomolsk.
komsomolsk makes me think of my friendships, it makes me want to create and go outside more. to stare at the sun and sit by that sunflower field. it makes me want to hate this city less.
additional brurb because it is a russian band. I won't go too in-depth into their political standing - mostly because they don't really do it themselves. their last album was titled komsomolsk-0 as a reference to their first album titled with a 1 and was about the war. one thing is definite - they are pro-ukraine, at the very least anti-war, which isn't much to ask but it is clear. through and through it's an album about growing resentment towards the country they spent 7 albums and EPs trying to appreciate despite the regime. it's lamenting over the home they lost. emotionally so. and one could definitely come for them about they way they chose to approach the topic. especially the second to last song, focusing on their sorrow that everyone around them left the country after the war began. as much as many people had no choice but to leave, most politically awake individuals left because they chose to, which the song might be interpreted as denouncing. to be fair though, I have no idea whether they themselves actually left. all I know is that they disbanded. could be a coincidence, could be a political choice, I have no clue.
along with that it's also pretty clear that before 2022 they were centrists. in one song they mentioned "making up" palestine and israel, for example. still better than most in the russian speaking space, somehow.
