Words can’t even begin to describe how impressed I am with your Jesse, Brit! I’m completely blown away by his tone of voice and your writing is just – wow. We don’t really know a lot about Jesse other than what we’ve seen in the show, which, isn’t a lot to go by, but you still managed to capture him perfectly. I can literally hear his voice when I read your posts and I think that’s a really difficult thing to do, to make Jesse so spot on like you do. I’m definitely having a lot of fun playing against him and learning about him at the same time. I look forward to seeing him grow as a character and I can’t wait to see where you take him next! Even as a kid, Sam knew that true love existed. While the number system he was forced to believe in would prove otherwise, the Evans family had always been believers. Sam’s parents weren’t a number match – they were a choice. The tale of their love story was one Sam heard every night as a child, and one he told to his younger siblings as they were born too. Growing up in Louisiana, the people were few and far between, and sadly, so was the money. The Evans family scraped by for most of Sam’s childhood, and after Sam’s father lost his job around Sam’s 16th birthday, things only grew worse. With the bills piling high, a low-five-figure salary simply wasn’t enough for their six-person family, and Sam felt he needed to take matters into his own hands. Through illegal means, Sam managed to provide for his family in a way they could not do themselves and they were able to live a somewhat normal life, sans for Sam’s nightlife activities to pay their rent.

When the day came that Mr. and Mrs. Evans found him out, Sam was well-prepared for their inevitable move, money stashed away in box under his bed. The move to Staten Island was a difficult one, but the family seemed to flourish nonetheless. While they definitely weren’t prepared for such a drastic scenery change, going from the small suburban life in Louisiana to the hustle-bustle of an NYC borough, the Evans were steadfast and had enough go-with-the-flow to take the move with stride.

A new job for Mr. Evans meant a new salary and some more free time for Sam to pursue his interests. It was freeing, Sam thought as the days went by and the crushing weight of responsibility no longer pressed down on him, to have time for himself. He still took care of his little siblings now and then, but the long ride back and forth from his diner job seemed more like an adventure and less like a chore - and the gig he got at the bar near his parent’s home, singing covers of the artists he so greatly admired and getting a chance to sing his own music too, made his soul happy in a way he’d never found in Louisiana.

Inspired by his new-found happiness, Sam made the decision to move out on his own, sights set on Brooklyn. While his shabby apartment costs way too much for the space he gets, Sam is proud to finally have something that’s his.

With each passing birthday, Sam also wonders when he’s going to get someone to share his dingy apartment with. Every time he opens his mailbox or meets someone new, he worries about the hints that could be right around the corner of who the system has ‘paired’ him with. Dating hasn’t exactly been the most successful endeavor as far as Sam’s concerned, but he’s got total faith that he’ll meet The One and the government’s stupid number draw won’t mean a thing with the prospect of true love on the line.

Hey, guys! Just a reminder that all event-related threads (only the cruise event, not the aftermath) must be wrapped up by tonight. If you aren’t able to complete your threads in time, feel free to move it elsewhere or discuss and headcanon the rest with your partner. 

With the event coming to an end, it’s now time to round it up and tie it back to our main plot. As mentioned in this post HERE, Hunter has struck a deal with Sue Sylvester to grant them access into the numbers database for a maximum of 30 seconds. Since all of our characters were directly involved in the incident, each of them (except Hunter) will be receiving their own passcodes. The actual codes don’t actually matter, so you can either headcanon that they’ve already received it or wait until next week to do so. 

Now, here comes the important part. 30 seconds is not a lot of time to access a database as huge and complicated as this one, so we’ll be doing this a la chatzy choose command style! (if you think I’m making this easy for you guys, think again~)

First, your character needs to decide whether they’d be interested in using that code or not because that is definitely not a must.

Second, as a player, have a go at deciphering all the hints you’ve received so far and pick one number that you think your character has been matched with. For those without any hints - don’t worry, I’ll be sending them out very soon! On that day itself, you’ll need to give me a specific statement/action inside the chatzy room, such as - “Blaine will see that he’s matched with number 10.”, and then I’ll have chatzy choose between yes and no. If it’s a yes, I’ll either say yes he’s matched with 10, or no, his life partner isn’t 10. If chatzy chose no, then I’ll just say that unfortunately, the system has logged him out before he can see the result. Simply saying “Blaine will see who he’s being matched with” is not allowed. 

One thing to keep in mind is that characters can choose to access the database for someone else, which means, “Blaine will see that Sebastian’s matched with number 10.” is an acceptable option as well. 

Last but not least, I’m aiming to get all of you inside the same chatzy room and do this together since it’s more fun that way, so if you could help me complete this survey form HERE, I’d appreciate it a lot. If your character has decided not to use that code, you can still join in the room as a bystander!

“Good night, I’m Rod Remington and we interrupt this program to bring you breaking news. An American cruise ship returning from a ten-day cruise from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida unexpectedly suffered a temporarily power lost last week, resulting in several casualties. The power outage occurred around 2:00 a.m. Sunday on the Regal Princess and was fully restored an hour later, the same time the coast guards and local authorities were contacted. After further investigation, it has been confirmed that the cruise was targeted by a group of bandits, aiming to rob the empress’s tiara that was auctioned off during the Clarington Enterprises’ gala night. About 1,200 passengers were on the ship, police said. No fatalities have been reported, but at least ten guests and crew members were injured. According to witnesses, those bandits were masked and armed with weapons. They did not succeed in stealing the tiara, however, but no further details have been released about the whereabouts of those bandits or how they managed to get onboard. Police has declined to provide information on the investigation while Hunter Clarington, General Manager of Clarington Enterprises Holdings only portrayed the incident as a “rare and unfortunate accident” when asked by reporters, refusing to give any other statement surrounding the matter. 

“It wasn’t a terrorist attack,” said Grace Hitchens, the public relations director of Clarington Enterprises Holdings during a phone call with our station’s journalist, Andrea Carmichael. “Immediate actions were taken right away to ensure the safety of our extinguished and honored guests. All medical bills will be covered and further compensations are on their way. Mr. Clarington has managed to strike a deal with Sue Sylvester, head of the numbers system here in New York City to release unique passcodes to each victim -- a passcode that will grant them access into the numbers database for at least 30 seconds. They’ll be receiving them within this week or the next by mail.”

The gala event has been met with mix reactions and reviews from the passengers thus far. Some has condemned the attack as a ‘serious lack of security awareness’ while the rest praised the Claringtons for their quick actions.
