It's something about watching her feel "the burning" of the guilt of war, of feeling ptsd, for the first time, while learning of the Major's death, and that driving her almost to the edge. To question whether she has a right to live or at least a purpose.

Only for her to receive a letter from her friends and a request to write a letter for someone she helped, and to realize that she has value beyond war and beyond the Major. To see the princess she helped happy. To see the play of the father who lost his daughter. To see violets.

To see that she has made a positive difference in people's lives. That she is loved even if she doesn't fully understand what the word means yet.
