LESBIAN JUDGE WILL NOT WED STRAIGHT COUPLES

It’s nothing personal, but Dallas County judge Tonya Parker does not perform wedding ceremonies for heterosexual couples looking to tie the knot. What is her reason? The state of Texas, along with 30 other states, does not currently allow same-sex marriage. Despite recent victories in places like Oregon and Pennsylvania, many states are still in court over the issue leading this openly gay judge to politely turn away couples until marriage is equal.

In an interview with the Dallas Voice, Parker said ,“I’m sorry. I don’t perform marriage ceremonies because we are in a state that does not have marriage equality, and until it does, I am not going to partially apply the law to one group of people that doesn’t apply to another group of people.”

While some are outraged, many applaud Parker, pointing out that same-sex couples have been denied marriages for years and that this is just an ironic dose of how homosexuals are treated.

Hi I am kind of dating this guy i met but it's through long distance, and I was wondering if there was any advice you can give me because I've never been in a long distance relationship but I really like this guy so I want to make it work

I wish I could give 1st hand advice! but I have never been in a long distance relationship. I think it would be very important to have a good line of communication without being too over powering. And also skype or FaceTime! Seeing each other is important too. Keep it interesting in any way you can. I think long distant relationships are hard because there is no physical closeness. So have fun on the phone or online! this is all my thinking so I hope It's somewhat helpful.

Bisexuality is not half gay and half straight. Bisexuality is not in between gay and straight. Bisexuality is not gay when dating the same gender and straight when dating a different gender. Bisexuality is not gay-ish or straight-ish.

Bisexuality is its own fully independent self-contained complete orientation. It is its own flavor, not a patchwork of others.

I am a bi male and a groomsman in my best friends wedding, I've had feelings for him for 15 years but I am pretty sure they are not mutual. I am out to him but never told him of my feelings. I am happy for him but just a bit worried about keeping my emotions in check for the day of the cermmony. If i were to go back I would have told him a long time ago.

You could let him know how you feel. It may jeopardize your friendship but at least you wouldn’t be holding in these feelings any longer. It could make you feel better.
