Craig McCracken has answered more questions about the announced reboots. McCracken will not break NDAs, and it’s possible these plans could be changed when Cartoon Network officially picks these reboots up. I would not edit any wikis until the official announcement.
In response to someone talking about how Miss Bellum was the symbol of women’s empowerment, he said “I agree!” (Not an official confirmation that Miss Bellum will return, but it is a good sign.)
Craig McCracken intends on keeping PPG 202X truer to his original vision, with some modern bells and whistles.
While he won’t be a main character (he’d still be at school), Mac could still make cameo appearances in the Foster’s reboot.
McCracken adds that all of the original imaginary friends could show up eventually.
The Foster’s reboot takes place in the same timeline as the original series.
PPG 202X will work off of the original designs, with only slight modifications for consistency of scale and proportion.
McCracken doesn’t expect to do any design changes for the girls or the logo unless they decide to change the name of the series.
As of right now, PPG 202X will still be called the Powerpuff Girls, but the new episodes will tell a longer story in the universe, and “we thought we’d give that story a title.”
When asked if that means story arcs and continuity, he says “yep, that’s what excited me about doing it.”
It is still too soon to say how long each episode will be.
