I posted earlier about shopping for healthy ingredients. Well it’s even easier to eat poorly when you eat out/order in than when you cook!

Tonight we ordered in - #organic roasted #chicken with long grain brown #rice and #spinach. Was this more expensive than Burger King? Yes - but you either pay for your #health now…or you pay later. I guarantee that you have access to a #healthy #takeout option, but you have to want to find it. It’s always easier to order pizza or Chinese food, but that doesn’t mean it’s the right thing to #eat.

My friends and I need help!

My friends and I are from Michigan. We came out to California for school to start up a technology and entertainment company. We have many innovative ideas for our startup. However, we have reached a bump in the road. We were going to the Art Institute of Silicon Valley and were under the impression that we were guaranteed housing for our four years there. A quarter into the school, the school told us they were going to cancel student housing.  Since the school has kicked us out to the streets, we've been struggling to get back on our feet. We are completely new to California and have only been here for about half a year. We are not familiar with all of the procedures California has. We want to get back on our feet in order to get stable and get back on track with schooling and our dreams. We have tried applying for different houses and apartments but most have turned us down due to us not making enough money. We had to quit our jobs in Sunnyvale to look for shelters elsewhere. We plan on getting new jobs once we find a secure shelter we can live in temporarily. All in all, we need help getting into a home. We would love it if you could help us with a few month's rent and deposit. Anything would be appreciated. God bless
