so true!
Grace for the Recklessness
What caused the missionaries to burn out?
Our way:
Fruitfulness -> Significance -> Sustenance -> Acceptance
fruitfulness -> our achievements
This is the way of the world. We measure our worth based off our fruitfulness, this causes us to crash when things aren’t going our way.
Matthew 11:25-30
‘Take my yoke upon you and learn from me…. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light’
=> WE SHARE the BURDEN with GOD.
=> We’re all already yoked to something. Money, career, achievements, approval, HEAVY yokes.
GOD’s way:
Acceptance -> Sustenance -> Significance -> Fruitfulness
Acceptance -> What, or who makes us happy?
Sustenance -> What helps us connect with God?
Significance -> How is God making me a ‘sign’ of God’s love to others?
Fruitfulness -> How can we use ourselves to do the work of God?
Ephesians 2:10
‘created in Christ Jesus to do good works,’
We live in this world, but our operating system is not of this world. We are operating in Grace. It's okay for us to take upon the yoke.
study tips
some qualifications before we begin: valedictorian, athlete & president of a club
make notes! i can’t emphasise this any more, i enjoy jotting down random ideas during class & organising them into my notebook at home (passive learning), i find that it helps during big exams.
do topical questions (if you do the Cambridge syllabus) i’m not sure if those doing IB can also use this, but trust me. PMT is the goat.
read your textbook! some textbooks may be text heavy, but breaking them down into smaller areas of interest may help with the load.
to do lists, keeping track of what to do, and checking them off right after gives me a sense of satisfaction, and i find that i’m able to get more done with to-do lists
i hope this helps you, thanks for reading this babes. as always, do your best, and let God do the rest. xoxo, signing out!

number 1 yearner
As humans we crave for what we cannot have. An insatiable, gnawing hunger in the depth of our conscience that begs to be fed.
i feel that way about you. i hate to admit it, but i look for you in every room i go into, searching for your ink hair and pale face dusted with whispers of beauty. i look for you in the hallways, in the classrooms, in the blur of passing cars, i desperately long for you- so much that my heart aches at the mention of your name. a whisper of it is enough to drive me insane.
i’ve been starved for four long years, wondering if we could ever be. perhaps we may never get together, and the hunger may die down, leaving cold embers in its wake.
maybe we aren’t meant to be, and you weren’t the cure for my longing. but until then, i’ll keep on looking for you, even in my dreams.

how to ‘glow up’
glow up ~ improve on yourself spiritually, physically and mentally
after reading tons of blogs and scrolling pointlessly through ‘glow up’ videos, i have compiled a list of things you can do to glow up before Christmas holidays (may be foolproof!)
the world is dystopian
the earth we live in right now is something straight out of a sci-if novel. if you look back a thousand years ago, we live in a world we humans considered to be ‘impossible’. now, the reason it’s so dystopian is the way that everyone is stuck to these radioactive little screens.
everyone is together, but no one is really ‘together’. we all seem to be united through our phones, but we fail to realise that during family gatherings, everyone views the world from their cameras. a baby’s first steps are not celebrated with cheers, but rather a camera stuck into their face, ready to be shown to the world.
the world we live in is dystopian. and why are we perfectly fine with that?

The Wizard’s Bakery
I just finished reading ‘The Wizard’s Bakery’, a book written by Gu Byeong-Mo and translated by Jamie Chang.
The book talks about dark themes, such as domestic violence, sexual assault, etc. It follows an unnamed main character, who is neglected at home. The plot twist at the end is absolutely crazy, and the two endings were a good way to end off the book.
Overall I would rate this a 10/10 , I would definitely reread this.

babes, listen up
everyone in the world tells us to show off, that failure is the worst thing ever, that they would rather die than fail. babes, that is not the type of mindset that we should have. failure is alright, you learn from failures- none of us are perfect.
so instead of tirelessly running towards ‘perfection’ and running away from ‘failure’, embrace your flaws. now, i’m not telling you to get lazy, i’m telling you to try new things. failure doesn’t hurt as much as you think it will.
love God, love others and most importantly, humble yourself and show humility.
