Particularly, it's important to be strong enough to realize when SOMEONE doesn't make you happy anymore. And to be able to step away...

Maybe I'll lose some followers, maybe I'll gain. But, if this blog is true to me like I claim it to be, I don't want to hold back any opinions. Don't be afraid of marijuana just because of its legal status. From personal experience, I know it can be empowering and rejuvenating. I recommend.

I've learned one lesson very clearly this past year: BE PATIENT. There is someone out there for everyone and you will meet when the time is right. Just enjoy life how it is because things can change fast.

Easier to comprehend than to embrace, but keep this in mind!

I strongly agree that when we are making difficult decisions, on some level we already know our preference, but we don't want to proclaim the decision in the hopes of keeping the other option open.

I do not pride myself in being perfect and following all of the ideas I post on this blog... especially this one. I constantly have the thought that I am just not good enough. I compare myself non-stop to the people around me and conclude that I'm not smart enough, I'm not athletic enough, I'm not pretty enough, I'm just not enough!!! Lately, I've been stopping myself in the tracks of these thoughts. It's harder for me to realize my positive aspects than it is for me to realize my negative ones. But, with some conscious effort, it really changes my mood to keep in mind positive parts of me!

Self-image is one of the most powerful ways to let people know how to treat you.

You might be the one that creates the change. If you care, change is more possible than for someone without passion.
This picture made me laugh! Anybody who's anybody can relate to pulling a wadded up set of tangled headphones out of a bag. It's a good analogy that, just like taking that extra five minutes and careful patients to untangle your headphones, untangling our complicated thoughts and feelings needs special attention, too.

For anyone who wonders what panic attacks feel like (you lucky dog), here is a close representation of what our bodies feel like - at least at the peak of the attack.
Separation of church and state, folks. Learn it.
Smile while you're at it!
We've all heard someone say they heard a friend trash talk us behind our backs... And if you haven't, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it has happened. We can't please everyone. When we don't please someone, most likely the first thing they do is go tell someone about it. I do it all the time! Never, ever take it personally though. It's hard to accept that people don't always agree with us or out decisions, but that is inevitable. Move on and know that when people talk badly about you, you're not necessarily in the wrong.
Smile!
A lot of times we get so wrapped up in comparing the "lows" in our lives to the "highs" in other peoples' lives that we forget everybody has their own problems. Nobody has a perfect life and, like I mentioned in a previous post, pain is inevitable. Thinking that our problems are worse that other peoples' problems can lead to even more distress. Try to remember that everyone we meet is going through something, so have some respect.
