Art storage
I bought some storage from Officeworks for my art supplies, the mess was getting out of hand. It all fits perfectly! Pens, miscellaneous, watercolour and acrylic paints and paintbrushes.

Sunflower, acrylics
I painted this sunflower following a tutorial by Bonnie LeCat “How to Paint Sunflowers using Acrylic Paints” on Skillshare. The tutorial was great and I’m pretty happy with how my painting turned out!
A walk through Glenrock.
Blank.
Thinking about what to turn this into.
Back to basics.
My parents gave me acrylic paint sets for my birthday 🎨 I did a couple of colour wheels and then painted the flowers I got also for my birthday. The layout and background of my flower vase painting was inspired by Van Goghs “Sunflowers”, but I used my own flowers & vase. For the lily pond I followed a tutorial by Makkocino.

Trying out sketching with water colour splashes.
I watched a YouTuber, Toeh Yi Chie, demonstrate this technique. It’s exactly what I’ve been wanting to try. Mine are very basic, I didn’t have a plan, just wanted to give it a go. I did the splash backgrounds and then chose photos I’d taken to sketch on top of.

Trying out the Aqua Brush by jasart I received for my birthday. Bit rough but it’s always fun trying something new 🎨
Weekend trip.
Mt Tomah Botanical Gardens, bon fire, crystal clear skies and no city lights for amazing star gazing and a crunchy morning frost.
Before and after Snapseed editing.
My photos don’t really look like the actual paintings I’ve done, so I’m trying to edit them. My focus was to get the background whiter, and bring out the colours more. Still working on getting the right balance but I love using this app.
I love that the Lush packaging dissolves in water 💧
Crafternoon.
Experimenting with masking fluid, adding glitter to my paints, and using Snapseed to edit my image.
A few snaps from my visit to England, 2017.
