As for my politics, I'm a Marxist-Leninist (my communist sideblog is @lesbianfidelcastro) and anti-imperialist. Total queer liberation is impossible without proletariat revolution, and it is not enough to be passively anti-capitalist

My biggest inspirations are Fidel Castro and Leslie Feinberg <33

My current interests are writing, butch-femme culture, and politics and history. Most of all I like 20th century lesbian history, and communist history

I don't see a point in putting a DNI, but I don't like liberals or any kind of reactionary, that includes TERFs and "gender critical feminists". However I'm willing to have constructive political discussions unless you're being outright hateful

Sexual reproduction is the historical nucleus for patriarchy and sex-gender, but it is not the sole source. After all, women who can't or don't bear children are not spared from misogyny. Children are subject to sex-gender assignment and its associated social conditioning long before they achieve sexual maturity. It is insufficient to understand patriarchy as merely resulting from reproductive capacity. The gendered division of labor has material benefits for men and for the bourgeoisie as well. Unpaid domestic labor within heterosexual relationships is a material benefit. Patriarchal control of household assets and income is a material benefit. Employers benefit from underpaying employees. And on that note, despite not being capable of pregnancy in the first place, trans women are paid less than cis women:

If reproductive capacity were the sole basis for misogyny, then transmisogyny wouldn't be a thing. Rather, there is not only a dialectical relationship between sex-gender and biology, but between sex-gender and capitalist property relations more broadly. And as we've seen in the last couple centuries, increased economic equality has routinely correlated with increased gender equality, something that would be impossible were patriarchy and misogyny based solely in reproductive capacity.

transmisogyny, like transphobia more broadly, punishes rejection of sex-gender assignment. it is an observable material fact, however, that transfeminized subjects are punished more heavily than other trans and nonbinary individuals. regardless of the "why" behind this, and despite being a trans woman I'm not entirely confident I understand that "why" myself, that fact remains. is it because femininity more broadly is looked down upon? is it because a failure to meet the expectations of a "male" sex-gender is seen as weakness? is it because a desire to be female and to adopt feminine traits is seen as a threat to patriarchal norms? whatever the case may be, the only way out of this is by dismantling the material basis of the patriarchy, of misogyny, and of transmisogyny, and that requires an accurate understanding of the forces at play.
