i DO agree there is a phenomenon of interesting female characters being sidelined for mid yaoi due to misogyny and doubly so if the character is a woc BUT the campaign to try and imply that m/f ships can be "progressive" or that there is an oversaturation of media focusing on gay men is traditionalist propaganda that i will not be falling for

#there’s people living in an alternate world where gay men apparently get notably more media representation than heterosexual couples #like no. you’re just so entrenched in fandom where there’s a saturation of m/m content #fanfiction on ao3 is not “media”#and the vast majority of media that has a saturation of m/m fan content doesn’t even have any actual gay people in it #like i’m sorry but fandom is not indicative of wider society
