This woman deserves major props for all her performances this year. On Doom Patrol she’s played a woman with dissociative identity disorder which was the result of sexual abuse from her own father (she has 64 personalities), on Orange is the New Black she’s been at the centre of their immigration storyline (her parents and brother were deported when she was 14 in real life) and also in Jane the Virgin her character learned that she could not have children.

These 3 storylines are all pretty traumatic and require a lot of skill to pull off but Diane has been amazing in each one. She is truly an incredible actress who deserves (and I’m sure will receive) many awards in her career.
