The mother and the daughter.

Aino. That was the name given to the mother. The name's meaning was forever, created to bring eternal peace and happiness. In this world, I'm not sure that is possible. I, a daughter, was named Eevi. It has connections to a meaning about bringing life. I refuse to become breeding stock for them. I refuse to become like my mother. She thought she was strong enough to handle staying home and raising a child. She wasn't. I know she resented me. That's why she volunteered to become a nurse in the war. Today is the day I become like my mother. Today is the day I'll become a nurse. I'm a lot like my mother, despite despising her. Maybe I hate her so much because my worst traits came from her. War is a terrible thing. It started around the time when I was born, just a few months later. I never knew my father, nor was I ever told anything about him. People say names hold power and meaning. I think mine was given to me for nothing. The thought of bringing life into this war ridden world disgusts me.
