A Trip to a Renaissance Festival
Adam exchanges little trinkets with other festival visitors, such as small crystals, buttons and forest-finds.
Elizabeth is dressed as a fairy and wears her gorgeous copper-colored hair down for the occasion.
She has twisted delicate pieces of silver wire into Victor’s curls, who is dressed as a pirate. Elizabeth has even gotten him as far as lining his eyes with coal.
William is a knight and you can hear the clanking of his armor from miles away.
Adam is dressed as a creature of his own fantasy; wearing antlers adorned with bronze chain necklaces and walking with a cane topped by a large piece of amber.
William gets an insatiable thirst for the cherry mead and ends up buying three bottles.
Victor is picked out of the crowd to assist during a jester’s demonstration. He hates every second of it and fights the urge to hit the man in the head with one of his juggling balls.
They spend a long time lounging on the sun-warmed grass, listening to cool bands performing on the main stage.
Adam’s face is slathered in BBQ sauce after munging on some spare ribs. Luckily, Elizabeth is prepared with a full package of baby-wipes.
Victor discovers a hidden talent of his steady surgeon’s hands at a miniature painting workshop.
Adam is introduced to Dungeons & Dragons and wishes to become a Dungeon Master. Victor surprises him with his first bag of dice during the car ride back.
William climbs on a spinning ride in full armor, despite Elizabeth’s warnings against this.
He needs to lie down in the shade after this, trying not to get sick from vertigo and the heat. His helmet won’t come off.
Adam silently stands guard while Elizabeth does her best to fan him. Victor is fighting off the on-site medical staff, insisting he can care for William better than anyone.
Meanwhile, Henry is on a personal side quest as a jester. He often crashes the group, weaving his way in and out throughout the day.
He knows he is being annoying but finds this to be hilarious. Social anxiety fears him.
