Be who you are

I watched Glee in high school and I was teary eyed at how the underdogs made it to the top. I cried when Cory Monteith died, may he rest in peace. I still watch the original Full House, and I’m obsessed with the Olsens. For a brief shining moment, I thought I could be a singer, like most other 13 year old girls. I wrote stupid little songs, that looking back at, are cringe-worthy. I watch the Kardashians, and while sometimes I roll my eyes at their cringe-worthy cheesiness or stupid decisions/words, I like to look at them and buy into that reality-tv nonsense. I listened to Selena Gomez’s music and I still do. I had all her CDs until I gave them to my sister. I watched Hannah Montana until the the Hannah Montana Forever series. I love to read and be cliche and drink tea and look fabulous, even when life isn’t so fabulous. I used to watch the Tyra Banks show and every episode of ANTM because I was in love with Tyra and she was someone I looked up to. But you know what? I am who I am. And I say all these things to tell everyone reading this, be who you are. If that means watching a “stupid reality show” or finding hope in “cheesy” songs or looking up to a pair of twins that are considered “weird”, then that’s okay. If these are things that make you happy, and make you part of who you are and even bring you along the hard journey of teenage years to help you learn how to be you, then don’t listen to the haters. Don’t hide away your Glee CDs, or take down that Tyra Banks poster when your friends come around. If they are your friends then they’ll love you anyway. These little likes and interests and hobbies make you who you are. Be who you are, shamelessly, recklessly, fearlessly.

OreIda Tater Tots

Self Confidence

Lately I’ve noticed a lot of people don’t have much self confidence so I came on here to just type out a few tips for everyone. Start in the morning and take an index card. Write something you love about yourself on it. Stick it to the mirror that you use most frequently or your door. Every morning come up with something new and just tell yourself these things every day. Tell yourself until you believe it. And remember everyone is beautiful in their own way, you don’t look like the girl/boy in the magazine because you aren’t the girl/boy in the magazine. The last tip is to remember that other people’s opinions are none of your business! Hope that helped.

Best Friends

Hey, I haven’t posted in a while. It seems I can’t keep a friend you guys. I wonder how many people reading this have the same problem. There was a girl who claimed to be my best friend, but I’ve yet to get an invite to any of her parties. She gave away the gift I gave her. She acts like a snob about everything I enjoy. It’s honestly just frustrating. A lot of people have stopped being my friends. I always am nice when I get a new friend as most people don’t like me as soon as they see me it seems. Anyway enough about me. Remember that other’s opinions don’t validate you as a person. Remember that it’s okay if you don’t have more than one friend. I have one friend and she’s my cousin. I get along. If you haven’t found a friend it’s alright. You are a beautiful inside and out.

Walk of the Warrior-non profit organization

So I recently came in contact with a man named Wolf Diaz. He is a really kind soul who has faced addiction in his life. He has reached out to me asking to spread the word of the organization he has formed to help Native Americans rid themselves of drug and alcohol abuse. It is a federal recognized non-profit organization and they need help with donations. A Letter to Myself for the Down Days

Dear me,

You are a valuable human being. Do not let anyone tell you otherwise, whether it be an angry friend, a family member, or a stranger. You are a beautiful person. You have made a mistake or two and that is perfectly okay. They are not mistakes, they are learning opportunities. You have wonderful, creative ideas that can better yourself and others. You can be anything you want to. The world is a place filled with opportunities waiting for you to grasp them. Remember your favorite quotes “If you can dream it you can do it.” and “Have courage and be kind.” Don’t let people stop you. You are intelligent. You will get through the rough times and triumph in the good. Stick to your beliefs. They are yours and no one can change them. And most of all good luck, not that you need it, because you can do it.

Quick Makeup Look

So the other day I went for a high fashion look at school. I had my new blazer on, suede ankle boots, skinny jeans, and my new clutch. So for makeup I didn't have a lot of time (thanks snooze button on the alarm). So here's what I did.

1. Conceal and apply BB Cream (I use Skin79 from South Korea)

2. Apply a powder

3. Winged black liner and tight line that water line in black

4. A little blush for color in a peachy shade

5. Violet lips! The lips give that high end look without taking away a lot of time. I used Maybelline Colorsensational Violet Intrigue.

Losing your best friend

Have any of you ever felt like you were losing your best friend? You know, the one that was with you through thick and thin? Recently I've been feeling that way. And when I talk to that person, they say "it's inevitable" because one of us moved. So what do you do in this situation? It's especially hard if that was the only friend you kept around. Well, personally I think that it's just time to get a new friend and hope it all works out in the end., that the original friend will change their mind or something.

A piece of advice.

So it's 2015 now. And as I was reflecting on my past year of how much I've grown and all of my memories.  Probably one of the biggest memories is when my ex of almost three years called it quits with me. It's so crazy to me to think of all of those painful times I endured for the sake of keeping us together. The reason I'm posting is to give anyone advice that is thinking of whether to break up or not. Anyone trying to remember the great first year in comparison to the second year that is being filled with tears. Anyone that is crying every time they talk to their boyfriends/girlfriends. Find the strength that I didn't at those times. Break up with them and save the pain. And here's to the new you in 2015, someone stronger, someone who values themselves enough to say that it's enough pain. And afterwards I hope you gain the happiness that I did of the freedom without them and that you get over it just as easily as I did

#DLVoxBox from @Influenster review!

Hey just wanted to leave a quick review of some of the products I received complimentary for testing from Influenster! I would liked to say I love the Frixion Clicker Pens! It is so awesome that they are erasable gel pens! And The Kiss Looks So Natural Lashes were fabulous, very natural delivery and I recieved them in Sultry. The Softlips Cube moisturized my lips well and had a nice scent. I devoured my delicious Airheads Bites in Fruit flavor in like 5 mins they were so good! The Ready, Set, Gorgeous Foundation from CoverGirl was alright. The color matched and it covered pretty well. It didn't break me out, but it did have a slight orange tinge. :/ The Playtex Sport Tampons are holding up great! Oh and the Sinful Colors No Text Red had smooth application and dried in a good amount of time. Although I would suggest using 2 coats.  I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
