This was take one on the theme "I love you too much to die twice" from the Romy Con Quick Challenge. I still really like it (and had a lot of fun with it). However I am really glad I ultimately went for the stained glass style.
Looking back at both pieces it's funny to see how green and purple were prominent in each. This one has a much more storybook feel to it.
Can't believe X-Men 97 season 2 is just around the corner!!

I was going to homage the iconic ending to 'Remember It' from season 1. Instead I decided to look to season 2 and on the trailer we see Rogue holding the tattered Queen of Hearts that belonged to Gambit.

Alright, you guys wanted Deathbit so here he is (in all his angsty/mood glory). In my original sketch I was flip flopping between Gambit and Deathbit so it was fun to see both versions. I attempted to make the background feel a little more stormy and I really love how the colors turned out.
