Easter falling on 4/20 again this year means all those old 420 praise it vines from 2014 are once again relevant
evangelicals being like "god made men to do This and be like This and women to do That and be like That that's just how it is" and it's just a picture of a white man and woman following traditional gender norms makes me so insane like you boring fascist fucks. god made 2 million species of beetles. god made whales, ducks, humans, and 1500 other species capable of same sex behavior. god made fish and amphibians that change sexes. god made more than 30 different intersex variations in human beings. god, in his infinite curiosity. wake up!!! fuck!!
"god wants women to have perfect no-makeup makeup looks and stay at home not talking back and upholding capitalism" god??? that guy who made lizards that shoot blood out of their eyes?? that guy who made salmon do whatever the fuck that is?? are you fucking crazy???
holy shit y’all should watch this one, what an admirable person
In an interview with TIME, Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde discussed her sermon, which has drawn death threats and prompted Trump to demand an ap
This is Adam Erickson, pastor at the Clackamas United Church of Christ in Milwaukee, Oregon!
Oh finally. A real Christian.
Now THIS man’s read the book
hey there LGBTQ kids who are also Christian/Jewish! If you feel like you’re disobeying God, questioning your faith, or feel wrong and dirty for loving who you love, there’s this fantastic site I found today called hoperemains that accurately and thoroughly combs through scripture and its (many) mistranslations, validates your orientation, and basically let’s you know that you’re not pissing off God. It’s insanely thorough and after reading through every page on the entire site it’s super helpful. Go check it out!
No no no! Jewish LGBTQ kinderlach! Go to Keshet!
hoperemains is completely from a Christian perspective, and not pluralistic or interfaith at all.
If you reblogged the first post from me please reblog this amendment so the Jewish peeps can access this resource too!
Trans Jewish kids, you can go to TransTorah as well!
Muslim LGBTQ kids, you can go to iamnotharaam! It’s run by a mod squad of different genders and orientations, and they take submissions from everybody!

The thing is lads I cannot think of a better use for my tax dollars than feeding children. I want my taxes to give the single mother of three healthcare. I want my taxes to take care of the elderly and the disabled. I don’t care if they’re citizens or legal residents or whatever. I want my taxes to help people. Because we’re trying to live in a goddamn society. Instead my taxes go towards bombing schools and hospitals and refugee camps. Billions and billions sent to proxy wars. And still people quibble over whether we should feed children. What are we doing here. Feed the kids.
i live in a small rural town. i've learned how to accept that my neighbors are liars.
(tired salesman voice) you better believe it, homosexuality is actually not a sin! A horrible misinterpretation of the Bible and a bad translation to English started this idea! Any other questions!?
today in church one of the priests referred to trans people as "those who are growing into the gender they were called to be" and i'm kind of enjoying the idea of like....divinely ordained top surgery
I'm very tired of this "queer college students should stop supporting Palestine, they'd kill you there!" I watched a hijabi ask a trans man, "but what name do you want to go by?" A butch giving a woman their hoodie so that she could keep her hair covered after the cops took her scarf. Muslim girls making sure the lesbian couple got through the system together. Religious men making sure green haired protestors got out safe. A Palestinian girl with an ex-southern baptist fiance, who definitely isn't a practicing Muslim, whose parents were raising hell for her. I don't want to hear it. Solidarity forever, free Palestine.
A Muslim Palestinian man rushing to protect the Black trans woman who got arrested with us as she was being harassed and targeted at work. Solidarity forever and ever and ever and ever
It's solidarity forever. It's free Palestine till it's backwards. It's showing up wherever we're needed no matter who needs us. It's loving first asking questions later. It's making inroads and taking the first brave step. It's God and I am 100% serious.

Posting these tags separately because I Do think it's really interesting
Fascinating for an entity who cannot die to manifest himself into a creature who can, into his favorite creation. The only way he thought to save his people was to become them and then die in their place. That itself kinda says some stuff about the inherent good in people, I think. One that you are worth saving and the other that your existence isn't a mistake
(Image description: tags reading "#its interesting that the first person to die was a shepherd #the first sacrifice a lamb #and then centuries later god came down in human flesh to do it all over again".)
still thinking about "decolonising" missionary work.
the way you decolonise missionary work is by not doing missionary work
the way you decolonise missionaries is like this:
"but it's part of my religion to evangelise"
🐆🐆🐆🐆🐆🐆🐆🐆🐆 infinite jaguar attack
"but we need to go to Ethiopia (one of the oldest christian countries in the world) to make them the right kind of christian!"

"but missionaries bring schools and hospitals to poor countries" that's called humanitarian aid and trying to use humanitarian aid to get religious converts is actually SUPER fucked! hope this helps 🐆🐆🐆
judas was probably like "jesus has pulled off so many wacky things, he'll get out of this one lickity split, and i get three shiny coins out of it, too"
