4am-reflections

he never wrote me poems. we would spend hours talking about everything in the world besides me. never once did my name pass through his lips. i was always vulnerable, spending hours out of my day trying to make him feel special. i could write novels about him until the world gets tired of hearing about the colour of his eyes. i once asked him why he never wrote about me. “i don’t know how,” was his excuse as if he spent days trying to figure out how to put me down onto paper. as if no amount of words could explain me properly. i will never be worth as much to people as they are to me. i always am the one who loves more. always the one who gets hurt in the end.
