⚽️ - Teach my muse a sport - corn hole

Fabric bean bag is thrown between her hands as she listens and watches to Hughie explaining the game he's set up in their backyard. Seras hadn't exactly played many games like this growing up and so Hughie has taken it upon himself to teach her and show her them. She appreciates it highly that he does such a thing for her.

Showing her the normalcy in things that she was certain she would never experience. Several tries to get the bean bag into the hole or the board are very overshot by the hunter, a bit too much power in her throwing. But with a little guidance from her husband she gets one to land.

Arms thrown around him as she cheers about it, happiness and joy fully there in the moment. She's also peppering his face in kisses for the help.

"Next time I'll get it!"

Not normally one for wine, she could hardly refuse when she was in this woman's home asking her questions about the case. Maybe she should have, as Seras more than drinking it sits there nursing it. Swirling it around the glass more than even taking a sip.

She didn't even give the phone a chance to get to a second ring to pick it up, didn't even check to see if it was him. She just hoped it was, when she heard his voice it was like releasing a breath she wasn't even aware she was holding onto so tightly.

"Yes. Yes I can hear you. What happened? Are you okay? Oh thank god it's so wonderful to hear your voice."

She had probably driven Terror mad with her pacing around the school room, so much so when she finally sat the old dog had come and plopped himself beside her, head on her lap as if to say no more pacing. Pets were giving and currently still being given for that as she listened to Hughie.

Thank god he was still alive.

My favorite type of friendship is the type where we can just pick up again where we left off. I have some friends that I don’t talk to for months. Then they come back online and we chat and have a good time. The same goes for threads. I’m not going to lose interest in a thread just because I have to wait 6 months for a reply. its hot whyyyy ugh. sorry i've not been here overly much. had 3 early mornings in a row for work but today has been the start of my week off, well booked week off manager gave me the two days after the week off too so longer break heeh.

i hope to be around a bit more but i'm in a doodling mood so if anyone has any requests you should send them in! and i know i got some little things to get to as well!

paige assessed the damage around them for a moment. she was only grateful that the altercation hadn't set off some alarm and alerted the police, which meant they had some time to try to clean up the mess before they scrambled. the demon had been a quicker hunt than expected, but it seemed quick was a sacrifice for easy and clean, for it was anything, but that.

the local grocery store was in shambles, and while she was sure they could try to walk away and be done with it, being in a small town meant they had been noticed before they even entered this place to take care of what they needed to. still, there was no way to clean up this entire place by sunrise, let alone in a decent amount of time for them to leave before dawn.

the blonde grabbed a towel off of a shelf, green eyes glancing over at the other, knowing this was probably a stupid idea. "how about, lets find some propane and a lighter and torch the place. they can get their money back through insurance and it covers our asses. can blame it on faulty wiring."

seras looks around the grocery store of now carnage. the demon had certainly put up a fight but hadn't been much of a match for the two of them. however unfortunately that had caused the damage now before them and didn't mean it was going to be easy to cover up.

eyes fall on a set of matches and she's already over to grab them and look for something in the wall, well if they were going to get this to play off as faulty wiring, it would need to look like it too.

"you find the propane. that actually sounds like a smart idea. though we use matches, less evidence to be left behind."

and with that seras is looking at where the demon had launched herself at the wall earlier, she could see some of the wiring so she's going to pull at it to make it look like it was faulted as they prepared for what she hoped a quick exit to her car.
