Ok so in the show N.A.T meant nothing, but in our better version, what do we think N.A.T’s involvement was in everything?

To me, Ezra is the real A, obsessed with underage girls, who wants to control them as his dolls. He is the man that “pushed” NAT too far, as Jason hinted. He came across the first videos through some people he knew who were also into underage girls, probably Wilden. He then was the one providing the guys with money to take those videos to “another level”. He got involved with Ali, and wanted more and more videos of her and her friends, and freaked out after she would not commit to being with him in a more serious way. He started threating her. After she disappear, he got close to one of the other girls in the videos, because he is that kind of freak and because she was linked to Ali, who got away. He started a thing with her but was not enough. He resented Ali for getting away so he wanted to punish the girls who appeared in the videos with her, since in his mind they were all a unified group. He punished them to punish Ali. When Ali got back alive, he kept punishing all of them. Since he was in a relashionship with Aria, he sometimes gave her less shit than to others. He built the dollhouse and played with his dolls, then tried to get away from his obsession, didn’t succeed, came back and started the game again. He married his Aria doll and impregnated Ali’s eggs. Afterall, he killed all the other dolls. That’s my PLL and that’s how NAT started it all.

My issue here is not that Ezra wasn’t revealed as ‘A’, but that Aria married her fucking abuser. You, Marlene and the rape apologists of the world can sugar coat that shit all you want. It doesn’t change FACTS.

Also, that finale was an insult to my intelligence. I accept that I’ve got no one to blame but myself for that. I literally knew this show was meaningless, and yet I willingly attached meaning to it. 7 seasons of clues that mean NOTHING.

Aria married her abuser AND her family made it seem like he was the best thing that could happen to Aria. Byron’s speech was disgusting, considering what was really happening: a father telling his daughter’s abuser how great it is that he abused his daughter and kept her in a toxic relationship forever. That’s fucked up beyond anything.

One thing that bothers me is how Charlotte didn’t want Alex to come to Rosewood and meet Spencer because the Hastings are “toxic”. Why would Charlotte say that? Charlotte was Spencer’s enemy, not the other way around. Maybe because Peter is the toxic one? But then again, Mary seduced Peter pretending to be Jessica so who’s the real toxic one? (And does Charlotte even know that story?) I feel like the writers knew they needed to address why Charlotte didn’t want Alex to meet Spencer - you can’t avoid that major question if you’re going to make Alex totally irrelevant to prior-6B. But they put no effort into the answer. It makes no sense.

I interpreted it as Charlotte making up some BS because she thought maybe if Alex reconnected with Spencer then Alex would not be so happy with Charlotte, who was torturing her twin sister. I mean, it’s kind of weird to have a normal girl turn into a total psycho killing whomever she encounters for no reason whatsoever, so probably Charlotte thought it was not safe for their own relationship. No way Charlotte could have seen that coming.

When did Mary find out about Twincer? Did she know all of season 7?

Well she gave birth so she always knew about Alex’s existence, but she didn’t know that Alex was in Rosewood (as opposed to Britain where she thought she left her) until Alex broke her out of jail early in the finale :)

I don’t know, I don’t think it’s like that. When we saw “Spencer” going to visit Mary in jail saying she needed Mary’s help, I think it was Alex. Mary says it’s been a while since they saw each other, but it doesn’t seem to be too long. I’m pretty sure that was Alex, also ‘cause Spencer didn’t need Mary’s help for anything at the time.

It didn’t seem to be that such a long time had passed since the last time they met, though. I think she knew Alex was in the US, already. I had the feeling like she had already visited in jail.

PLL Ending

To me, the perfect ending was Ezra’s reveal. I will pretend that when we saw him in his lair he really was A and everything made sense.

He was behind the NAT club, he was the guy who paid for taking the videos “too far”. He is obsessed with underage girls, got into Ali after watching the videos and seeked a relationship with her. Once he understood she wasn’t willing to go as far as he wanted he started going after her.

After she disappeared, he got close with Aria, her friend, also underage. He tortured all of the liard because he is a pedo psychopath who is obsessed with using underage girls as his dolls. Moreover, he used to watch those girls with Ali in the NAT videos, and he has resentment towards them because he has it towards Ali, who got away. He hit Ali “that night” because she didn’t want to get away with him, or something. Mona hit Bethany.

He was tied to Wilden, because they shared this thing with underage girls, as well as Ian, whom he used for the videos.

After that, he would have built the dollhouse because Aria was not enough anymore and he wanted his dolls all at his disposal.

That is my PLL, not the crap they served me after the Ezra reveal.

Am I the only one who is angry that Janel is nominated for best villain at the teen choice awards? Anyone that watches the show would know Mona isn’t a villain. Her loyalties were always in question but she wasn’t a confirmed villain. Actually, she spent most of her time trying to prove to the liars she ISN’T a villain. Janel deserves a nomination, for sure. But a damn different category. I can’t imagine how awkward she’ll feel when she wins the award (I think she will win, yay). Claiming an award for best villain and you’re not even a villain is awkward as hell.

I can see what you say, but I feel she is the ultimate villain. It’s true, she tried hard to fit in and helped the girls a lot. Nevertheless, she saw people “stealing” her game over and over, she was fed up with it and decided to step up again and reclaim her place. She is the one who truly won the game. She came back to darkness, once she saw she would not be accepted by the liars either way, and she is deeply enjoying being the ultimate A. It’s a sort of “I started it, I let you people play with it and tried to be someone else, now fuck it, I’ll take it back”. She proved to be the most clever and resourceful of all As (and in general) and she ultimately won, by being a villain (she is helding people captive and having them live like her dolls, after all).

Mona’s story is the only one I actually enjoyed in the finale.

The thing that I’m most upset about with pll is that Hannah, Emily and aria were so irrelevant to every A/AD ’s motives. Three out of the four main liars had nothing to do with the central storyline for 5 out of 7 seasons.

I for sure won! I’ve been sitting on that for a long time! I thought it was a perfect ending for everybody, but especially for Mona. She gets her version of a happy ending: She wins the game and she moved to Paris, which she’s always been obsessed with, she has her love and her dolls, and literally her dolls in her dollhouse underneath her shop. PLL fans are like little detectives so the second the cop came in and he had a French accent, I was seeing people tweet being like, “This has to be part of the ending. Why does he have a French accent?” They pieced it together so quickly that it was Mona’s boyfriend, that he wasn’t really a cop, that he captured them for her dollhouse. It’s so sick and twisted and perfect.

This is the one thing I truly loved about the finale, the only one that made full sense and gave a sense of closure to me. I loved seeing Mona A-mode once again, and I loved that she won the game.

Troian I love you to death…. but no. Emison, Haleb and Ezria do not make up for years of forgotten clues and storylines.

I’m not gonna suddenly be like “Emison’s babies were really cute so I guess it’s ok they forgot to tell us how Wren started working for Charlotte.” No correlation!

I don’t think the cast and crew will ever understand that it’s not the reveal or the episode we have issues with, it’s everything else. Marlene did it when Charlotte was revealed. Instead of understanding that we were mad about the plot holes, she called us transphobic. Now Troian is kind of doing the same. She’s not quite understanding that people are upset by the wider image, and is telling us to appreciate good parts of the ep. Yes. The ep was good. Not denying that. Everything else isn’t though, and THIS is why people are upset. Sigh.

Of the “good” things she listed I couldn’t care less about anything. I was in for the mystery, not all that crap. Plus, how can Ezria be a good thing? If anything, I am even more mad that a pedo got to marry his victim, and that he even got a blessing from her parents.

The entire writers’ room thought a lot about this and part of it was actors’ availability. When you don’t own certain actors and they’re not series regulars, you never know if they’re going to be available to you. There were times when I loved the idea of Wren being A.D., Melissa being A.D., a combination of those two, but ultimately we never knew if we were going to get those people in these last 10 episodes and that sort of started discussion that A.D. really needs to be someone who’s a series regular and fans were always wanting it to be one of the girls … which makes no sense to me because they really would be torturing themselves — the mythology would never work. So that’s when we thought, well we love twins on this show and making it a twin of a PLL is sort of having your cake and getting to eat it too, so it’s almost a “pretty little liar.

I loved it when they showed Melissa

So, a while has passed from the finale and I still can’t get over the fact that the Melissa reveal was fake. I loved it when we saw her, I thought “Yeah, this is gonna make sense, this is gonna tie up everything since the beginning”. There was room for explaining so much stuff, for linking everything. I loved it.

Then, we suddenly saw it was just a mask, and for what? What was the purpose of Mona wearing a Melissa mask if not to screw with the fans? It’s not like it had any meaning whatsoever in the finale storyline.

That’s when I thought “Ok, this is gonna be crap” and, unfortunately, I was right.
