Peter gasped, wings giving a delighted little flutter as if he’d just been crowned the luckiest angel in all of Heaven. “Abel, y‑you’re just the sweetest thing, aren’t ya?” He hadn’t thought much of it at first, but now that the basket was in his hands, the realization hit him. “Oh, this is perfect, Abel! I won’t even have time to sneak away and eat today, so this is gonna be a real life saver, honest‑to‑goodness!” Before he can stop himself, he’s peppering Abel’s cheeks with quick, fluttery kisses, all warmth and gratitude. His voice softens, a little breathless, a little bashful. “I sure hope you drop by later tonight. I probably won’t get to see you for the rest of the day, and well I’d miss you a whole bunch.”

"You're one of the more important gears that keeps everything going smoothly. You're so amazing, I think we may forget to make sure you're being taken care of. That's now my job that I happily take on!"

He beamed and smile, wings fluttering happily at the kisses, "Of course I will! I'm thinking we can have a stroll along the beach lit by starlight. I've got an idea for a dinner date to help you relax after being back to welcoming souls!"

That will earn Abel a bright, golden flush across St. Peter’s cheeks. Mercy, this hunk of a man really knew his way with words. “Oh, you!” Peter laughed, playfully squishing Abel’s cheeks before sneaking in one more kiss right to the tip of his nose. “You know I’ll take care of you too! We’ve got ourselves a real fifty‑fifty partnership going here. I know you’re working hard—so much responsibility on those big ol’ shoulders—I’ll make sure you’re good and taken care of when you get off work.”

He wasn’t exactly house‑wife material, at least not in the kitchen, but he can give Abel a foot massage, tidy up the place, make everything warm and welcoming before his angel came home.

“A dinner date?” Peter’s eyes lit up like festival lanterns. Abel was so good at planning things, always coming up with the sweetest ideas. “Gosh, I’d really love that.”

If he could, he’d kiss this angel breathless right here in front of the gates, sweep him clean off his feet, but he’ll save that for tonight, when he can really take his time.

"Abel, your dad went over the birds and bees with you right?"

[⭐] "Uhh...Well, w-we may have had that discussion once but he was kind of distracted at the time and I just figured we'd finish it later...?"

He reached out to give Abel a shoulder pat. "It's okay Abel, if you have questions I can help answer them too. I mean...errr...I'm not THAT acknowledge-able but I was human once, and I also picked up a thing or two on the lingo.''

He hoped everyone had a good new year! His podium is now fixed along with the gate. He's sure he'll have plenty of new winners to greet because of this delay.

Peter is getting all hot and bothered under the collar. Lucifer certainly has some gorgeous wings! Probably the prettiest in all of Heaven! His own wings fluff up in response. It sure is hard to concentrate on helping the hotel when he has all that Devil's food cake tempting him.

Lucifer perks up seeing the other’s wings fluff up and coos happily stretching his own just so , so they gleam and shine in the light .

“Mmhm maaan all this work sure is tiring —“ is he undoing his shirt ?? Most likely it is rather warm after all~

Peter’s wings fluffed even more, practically doubling in size as he watched Lucifer stretch his own with that smug little shimmer. “W‑well now, aren’t you just showin’ off,” he said with a breathy laugh, cheeks warming as he tried (and failed) to tuck his face behind a book. “Mercy, Lucifer, you can’t just strut like that while I'm here, it’s downright unfair.”

And then he noticed the very casual, very warm‑weather, very Lucifer undoing of that shirt. “Oh, speaker in heaven,” Peter sputtered, wings giving a startled rustle. “I mean, it is warm down here, sure, but you don’t have to go makin’ it warmer, y’know?”

He stepped closer anyway, voice softening into something fond. “If you’re tired, you could’ve just said so. I would've helped."

Peter bites his bottom lip at as Lucifer begins his attack. Sharp teeth sink into his angelic skin showing no mercy as marks are left all over his neck and shoulders. Lucifer leaves the angel flustered and wanting. "W-What was that for?"

“Just making sure you and everyone else knows who you belong to~” he nuzzled the other and pulled him into a hug.

“My silly bird ~”

Peter tried—oh divine speaker help him, he tried—to hide his face behind his fluffy wings. Lucifer was just so straightforward about everything that the poor Saint wasn’t sure he’d ever quite get used to it.

“Goodness, you sure do like to mark your territory, I s’pose,” he said with a nervous little laugh, wings giving an embarrassed flutter.

But the moment Lucifer pulled him into that hug, Peter’s body eased, all that fluster melting right out of him. He nuzzled into Lucifer’s neck, soaking up every bit of that warmth like it was a blessing all its own.

“You know,” he murmured softly, voice warm and earnest, “you don’t have to do all that, reaaaaally. I’m not planning on going anywhere.”

"Do you remember how you received your role as the gatekeeper?"

“Golly, that was a looooong time ago. Y’know, when someone kicks the bucket and pops up in Heaven, it takes a while to get your bearings. For me, it all felt like one big blur; Earth one moment, pearly gates the next.

I knew I had a duty to the Host, sure, and I figured I’d keep serving after I passed, but whew… it took time to recover. I mean, my death wasn’t exactly for the faint of heart. Doesn’t matter if you’re in Heaven or anywhere else, those memories still sneak into my nightmares now and then.

But! After a few years, I finally started finding my rhythm. At first they thought I’d make a good guardian for battle, but I said ‘no thank you,’ I was done with fighting. So they made me a keeper of the gate instead. And while it can be a little… ermmm… dull here and there, I really do enjoy the peace of a non‑violent existence.

Besides—” he brightens, wings giving a cheerful flutter, “I loooove singing while I give new Winners their tour!”

"The three of you gave a thorough tour of Heaven on the day that Sir Pentious arrived. But what is your favorite place to visit in Heaven?"

"Oh that's an easy one! The egg hatchery! I love it when spring comes and I get to see ALL the new born baby fledglings hatch! They let me help take care of them until they're ready to return to their parents. Gosh they are all sooooo cute!"

[⭐] "Hey Peter....I was hoping..maybe..." He is blushing, "Can I kiss you to reign in the new year..?" (Abel)

Peter had been helping with the celebration just outside his apartment, where angels gathered in joyful clusters. Winners and angels alike danced and played music, some diving into the community pool beneath a canopy of colorful lights strung across the courtyard.

When Abel approached—cheeks flushed, eyes bright—Peter’s expression softened instantly. Fondness warmed his gaze as he cupped Abel’s chubby cheeks. Up here, away from the noise and laughter below, it was just the two of them. He’d been so busy he hadn’t even thought about a New Year’s kiss.

“I think that would be the perfect way to begin our new year together.” St. Peter’s wings fluttered behind him as he leaned in for a kiss."
