More hats!
Finishing a few projects as the new year begins. A preemie cap and a chemo cap.
My latest passion is making hand quilted hearts for people.
Final summer projects
Finished a cotton prayer shawl I started in May. Will take it back to the beach to donate. Made a walker bag for my mother that I hope will work with her big walker that folds easily for travel and her smaller one with wheels for use inside her facility.
Tour de Fleece 2023
Spun on wheels and spindles, plied some and started knitting this summer, everywhere I went.
Cotton Prayer Shawl
Recent spinning.
Latest caps
Recently finished a cotton chemo cap and an acrylic baby hat.
Shawlette
Tried a new shawl pattern I found when organizing my knitting stuff. I enjoyed it, although I might have stolen some of the yarn for a previous project. It’s Knitting Fever Painted Cotton in Rose Bowl The pattern is Picasso.
Experimenting with Blessing bracelets.
One More Final Prayer Shawl!
This one is ultra soft for a special friend who may not remember me when I return in the fall.
Final Prayer Shawl of the Season
Leaving prayer shawls in Hatteras. This is another knitted from donated “Homespun” which is very soft, with eyelash cast-on and decreases and “Knitting into the Mystery” knit 3 purl 3 body pattern. I tell people that I am on the production side; others are responsible for distribution.
Another Prayer Shawl!
Finished another homespun prayer shawl. One more on the needles before I leave the island.
Merino and corriedale handspun prayer shawlette.
Latest Chemo Cap; cotton for warm weather.
Hatteras Prayer Shawl
Updated my Prayer Shawl pattern for my current knitting group in Hatteras Village. I cast on (to odd multiples of 3) and bind off with the dishcloth pattern everyone seems to know then use the Trinitarian K3 P3 “Knitting into the Mystery” pattern for the body. I usually use 3 or 4 strands on big needles, with eyelash added on both ends. I am pleased with it and with the improved ease of teaching it. I added a triangle pocket.
Another Chemo Cap finished!
Started a Spring theme.
