It’s nearly 9am, I haven’t slept at all I can think of is the Codices doing this (probably because of the Hunter)
Chapter 22, a Summary:
Feng: [exists]
Jane Kelly:
Surprise Chapter 22 that actually got finished today. Woo!
Although I admit it’s a bit shorter than a standard chapter, it’s still very. Big in terms of revealing stuff, IF people catch the hint.
northeasternwind replied to your post “Writes Luminița Feng’s name once Eternally doomed to open Chapter...”
OH! If you use Google Docs you can do this too! It’s in Tools>Preferences.
I write everything in OpenOffice. I’ve been using it for about 4 years now for my uni stuff and I have no idea if there’s an autocorrect feature. I’m too stubborn to change over to any other writing programme now OTL
Writes Luminița Feng’s name once
Eternally doomed to open Chapter 21 or whatever recent chapter features the Templar’s name so I can copy paste ‘ Luminița ‘ because of the accented letter.
“I don’t have any fur and I really like the feel of yours.”
Honestly, the Assassin wouldn’t mind big cats, or taking them into her stronghold. She’ll probably just be chilling and meditating and you’ll have a pride of lionesses resting near her. Bonus points if it’s in the dark because you can spot Jax-Mon’s purple eyes amidst the sea of cat night vision ones.
Things I still need to write: Chapter 22
Things I’m apparently in the mood to write: Fluff. Cuteness. Gentle. Happy scenes!
I don’t talk about Jane Kelly nearly enough. She’s a certified badass. I remember one campaign, she essentially solo’d an Avenger Assault herself thanks to Untouchable, Bladestorm and Reaper and with it happening early enough that I didn’t have Gatekeepers up my ass
She very much is the “face” of XCOM and their most competent soldier. Came up with the idea of the photobooth for Resistance propaganda in my canon because she always took the time to pose for the security cameras. Usually with accompanying dead / dying ADVENT troopers. Needless to say, the aliens don’t like her that much.
Now that I think about it, the Chosen Hunter is probably the only one out of the Chosen that has “spent the most time” with the Commander, as it were. At least her subconscious, because of all the tactical training that he needed during his ascension.
And since I’m a total sucker for WarGames, Dhag-Mai “passed” the benchmark when both he and Kingsley came to the conclusion that the only way to win was not to play against each other, because it was just. Futile. They just kept hitting a stalemate.
Autopsy Commentary (1)
ADVENT Trooper
Dr. Tygan: “Knowing that my past surgical experience is limited, I'm sure the crew appreciates I hone my skills on fallen ADVENT before triaging our own wounded. To the uninitiated the common ADVENT Trooper is seemingly human, the aliens have disguised its most glaring divergence from the human form with with a carefully designed helmet.”
Dr. Lovett: “Whilst I am qualified to practice surgery on our troops, further experimentation upon the fallen ADVENT cadavers allow me insight into better treating our Skirmisher allies -- some procedures would inadvertently harm them more than heal them, I find. Upon further analysis, the helmet -- and most of it’s armour -- seems to be bolted on or grafted across the jawbone to the back of the head. I can only assume this is to prevent accidental removal.”
ADVENT Officer
Dr. Tygan: “The ADVENT Officers appear similar, if not physically the same, as the common ADVENT Trooper in terms of power and agility. However, field reports indicate a more developed mental acuity, as the Officers provide tactical directives to the subordinate ADVENT forces.”
Dr. Lovett: “My distinguished colleague’s assessment of the Officer’s mental acuity is correct. When out in the field, my GREMLIN recorded brainwaves and activity of the Officer and Trooper we were battling with and found that the Officer reacted more autonomously than we first believed. But this is more akin to machine learning than independent, individual thought.
We are not certain as to what sort of tactical reserve the Elders forces are calling upon in place of the Commander, though they no doubt have planned for this contingency. Our best, educated guess is that their psionic Network has been rerouted to their greatest tactical mind: the Chosen Hunter.”
Things I should be doing: Chapter 22
Things I’m contemplating and will end up doing: Dawn’s commentary on the autopsies as she assisted Tygan with the reports in Chosen canon
All cats the same
It took me a while but I did find the perfect faceclaim for Kingsley.
Meg Foster, particularly her role in Ravenswood.
Just imagine the hair is white / silver and bam. Perfect Kingsley.
She makes walking look like art.
six word story // listeningtotheloudsilence (via just-six)
... for all the cute I put on Hecate, and the Event that happened in chapter 21, make no mistake, I have confirmed she’s been active for 15 years and many of them were spent as one of the more active agents of the Warlock. And that her biggest psi-strength is psionic manipulation (mental ailments, mind control, persuasion)
She might not be as cute as I make her seem.
