after the latest scraping of ao3 for genAI purposes, i've locked all my works on there to be accessible to registered users only
it wasn't a step i wanted to take. i believe that most of fandom appreciates the time and hard work that goes into fannish creations, whether that's art, music edits or fanfic. however, the accessibility has been exploited one time too many by malicious actors
i've written fic for over half my life, and i've always loved sharing it with others. over a decade on ao3 and 1.9 million words of fanfic posted there. i wouldn't share my writing if it didn't bring me joy and i didn't firmly believe in the necessity of fandom spaces and the good that fan culture does.
malicious actors ruining it for everyone sucks. it does. and i am sorry to the ppl who cannot get an ao3 account that now lose access.
most of my stuff is on dreamwidth. if that's inaccessible to you, send me a pm or a comment (on this post or dreamwidth). if you have a specific work you'd like to read and an email address you're willing to share, i have epubs of everything i've finished posting to ao3 (generated by ao3 so it contains the title, tags as well as link to the ao3 posting). max number of works requested is by my discretion, but generally three single works unless it's part of a multi-fic series.
like it doesn’t matter if a person is so fat they’re immobile & have infections in their skin folds & need assistance with everything from hygiene to cooking to cleaning etc. they should still get good medical care.
the fattest person you possibly imagine still deserves medical care. it also doesn’t matter why they’re fat, even if that person got fat because all they did was eat and eat without ever exercising, they still deserve medical care.
Domaystic comes from “domestic” + “May” and it's a prompt event that runs throughout May with a list of 31 prompts for its 31 days. And also 5 alternatives are back. The overall theme is that of the domestic trope: anything inside, outside, beside the house or that has that normalcy flavor of everyday life.
Anyone, in their own way of expression, is welcome to use the prompts and create: fics, art, gifs, podcasts, whatever tickles your fancy, there are no restrictions. For any questions or such, the ask inbox is always open :)
Hello, all! I’m @staticmothhell, stepping in for g. to make sure we have Domaystic this year! I’ll be doing my best to run it in the same way, so you all hopefully won’t notice too much different. The one thing is that I’ll likely be slow and/or erratic with my reblogging during May. Rest assured I’ll still be reblogging everything tagged as properly (as described below).
Thank you all for your patience with me!

General rules and guidelines
All fandoms or original content are welcome.
Any kind of media is welcome.
No restrictions in ships, size, pixels, min/max word count or language.
There are a 31 prompts, one for each day of the month + 5 alternatives if needed.
If you plan to share your work, and if you want, you can add it on the 2026 AO3 collection; or, by tagging or mentioning this blog here on tumblr, I'll reblog it.
It's okay to combine more prompts together or with another event.
You don’t have to do all the prompts: do the ones you enjoy.
Domaystic runs actively throughout May; tracking #domaystic2026, mentions @domaystic, and previous years tags too; if you tag the blog on a later date, that’s fine too, I just reblog on a lower pace after May is over.
Tags to navigate the blog: tumblr post or page on blog
Tagging your tumblr post:
Mention: @domaystic or use the tag: #domaystic2026
Tell me the fandom name or if it is original content
Tell me if it is sfw or nsfw
Tell me which prompt you used if a day# or an alt#
For lengthy posts, please use the “read more option”: ctrl-shift-k on rich text; [[*MORE*]] on html (remove asterisks)
Please, TAG PROPERLY. If there are any trigger warning, I will base my own reblog on your tags so, please, take even a moment longer to carefully tag it. I hope all participants to stay safe in this event.
Here’s an example:

AO3 collection
As with the previous years, the domaystic2026 collection will be open from May, 1st. On the profile page you'll find all the info and prompts as well.
i think we should bring this back (with some amendments ofc) if we ever needed an "internet etiquette" for the younger generations, now is the moment to remind them. purity culture kills fandom
as well as the three laws of fandom:
Don't Like, Don't Read (DL;DR), Your Kink is not My Kink And That's OK (YKINMKATO) and Ship and Let Ship
NO ONE LIVING hasn't been squicked out by something. There's over 7 billion of us, my delights and disgusts aren't universal. So I move on. Don't like the ship? Move on. Don't like____? Move on.
I am not an exception. Neither are you. I don't like it I move on and shut my gob about it because everyone everywhere is squicked out by something and they need to put the thing down and just…motor.
