My SIX favourite coffee places in Berlin:
Living in Berlin now for more than a year has made me fall in love with their coffee culture. Here a list of my top 6 coffee places you MUST try when in Berlin:
1. Coffee Concierge - Kreuzberg - Paul-Lincke-Ufer 39-40
This small industrial place on the Paul Lincke Ufer is my absolute favourite and I NEVER had a better coffee elsewhere EVER. Not only do they roast their own coffee but the owners are simply lovely guys who really know what they are doing.
2. Companion Coffee - Kreuzberg - Oranienstraße 24
Located inside the VOO store (one of my favourite stores in Berlin). You can get amazing coffee and special teas from the boys of Companion Coffee (they also have great cakes). If Shawn is around ask him for his favourite restaurants in Berlin - he is a real foodie!
3. Silo - Friederichshain - Gabriel-Max-Straße 4
I always combine Silo with a fleamarket visit on Sunday at Boxhagenerplatz. This fleamarket is a great place for amazing vintage finds. As for Silo, the coffee is really good, the interior is super nice and they also do great brunches!
4. The Barn - Mitte - Auguststraße 58
When wondering around Auguststrasse, Linninenstrasse & Mulackstrasse, the best streets for cute boutiques & designstores, I always combine this with a coffeebreak at the Barn. The barrista’s are passionate about their coffee making and the place has a good vibe + nice cakes.
5. Kaffeebar - Kreuzberg - Gräfestr. 8
Kaffeebar is my second living room as I live around the corner. The coffee is good and their brunch/lunch is amazing. I love the chilled out atmosphere here and they don’t have wifi which I hate but sometimes actually love ;-)
6. Five Elephant - Kreuzberg - Reichenberger Str. 101
Serious coffee makers and really delicious homemade cakes. This is nice place to combine with a stroll around the Landwehrkanal & gorlitzerpark.
