Ive always wanted a surprise birthday party

I gave the hints and was talking about a surprise party all the time.

The day of my birthday, i came home from school.

High hopes.

The house was empty. Parents at work, siblings doing their own thing.

I checked my phone for “happy birthday” messages, turns out no one knew it was my birthday.

No one cared enough to remember.
