Waverly: Oh yum, thank you! You know you can always use the delicious food you just made to make them happy if the kitchen staff get upset.

Lucas: First of all THANK YOU for not assuming I'm a monster that uses more flour than any sane person should. It was literally less than a bag of it.

Lucas: Okay, probably still more than any sane person SHOULD use, but that's why I shared what I made! It's not like I set out to use it all, I was just really in the zone.

Lucas: WHY DOES EVERYONE THINK I USED A METRIC TON OR SOMETHING! It was less than a bag of flour when I got there! Three batches of anything will wipe that much out!

Lucas: Like baked goods? Scones and stuff. Some cookies, but mostly scones.

Lucas: Um, yeah? I do know about portion control, and it's not my fault to begin with that the flour levels in the particular kitchen I was in was low. I don't order it! And I even left a note saying it was out.

Lucas: And if by 'accident' you mean I zoned out and just made a bunch of things while listening to music... then yes. It was an accident.

Okay, but really Auradon. Why are we all still sleeping on Jem & The Holograms? I remember when it came out in theaters and I had to go see it and then it bombed? Why? It’s a great movie, the music is banging and the actresses in it? Gorgeous AND talented! Hello, wake up people! The lesbian goddess Hayley Kioko is in this movie! If anything I’d think people would watch it for her. Please tell me I’m not the only one around here who loves that movie.

I honestly don’t even remember hearing anything about it. Maybe it’s the producer’s fault it failed? Publicists? I couldn’t even tell you if I saw the trailer or anything, like it’s just not ringing a bell. And usually the more ramped up a movie is, the better it does in the box office. Or... do I have that wrong... this is why I went culinary arts and not film. I’d have no idea how to make a hit movie, apparently.

Lucas: Not that I know of? I have no idea. Well, to process raw meats. People didn't always cook, had to digest it somehow before fire.

Drunken Confession || Chloe & Lucas

Chloe didn’t plan on finding herself a few hours away from school and at a bar no less, but here she was at the Snuggly Duckling, completely plastered and starting to feel scared. It wasn’t that the people in the bar were terrifying to her, no they were all kind and had bought all the drinks she’d had after all. But she’d never been drunk before, the most alcohol she’d ever have would be not even a half a glass of wine with dinner when she ate with her parents. So the best thing she thought to do was to text a friend to come get her and not just any friend, but the one she’d been crushing on for… well as long as she could remember at this point, Lucas Belrose. And it was because of this crush that drunk Chloe decided to choose Lucas’s name in her contact list. Thanks to another friend, she knew that alcohol could give people confidence. Maybe she didn’t need nearly as much alcohol as she’d had to bring out this confidence, but being her first time out drinking at a bar, how could she know her limit? Or even that she should watch for one?

So there she was, staying put at the bar as Lucas told her to do until he got there, a silly grin on her face every time the door opened and she thought it might be him. Did she have a plan? Not at all. Well, except that she knew she wanted to at least wait until Lucas dropped her off at her room before telling him. The booze gave her confidence to say something, but she was still smart enough to know not to say anything before the long car ride back to school. If he rejected her? One thing she did know about drunk Chloe before she’d even started drinking, she’d be an emotional drunk. So maybe she’d try some playful chit chat, guys thought girls were cute with they were inebriated and rambling off about silly things, right? Seemed so in most movies and tv shows she watched anyway. And then she started to worry, what if her brother or someone else they knew saw them as they were coming back to campus? Brooke and Rory would have a field day with that information. And now she was back to being worried and paranoid about her current state, hoping Lucas would just get there already so they could get her home and in bed before anyone found out about her little adventure.

Ever since he’d first received a text from Chloe, he’d been worried -- as any good friend would. Lucas hadn’t even been aware that she drank, and yet here she was texting him that she’d had several drinks from several different people. Of course he worried about her. Ahe first question he wanted to ask was why she felt the need to drink so much, she mentioned something about confidence and that had been on his mind since he read it. Alright, perhaps that was the second. Right after making sure she was alright and asking why she had to go so far for a few cocktails.

The moment he set foot in the Snuggly Duckling, however, all questions were forgotten, replaced with relief when he spotted her across the way. Safe, thankfully. Lucas made his way over, clearing his throat as he took the seat next to her. “Hey,” he started, hands folding on the bar as he settled on the stool. He glanced at the glasses in front of her, taking a moment before flagging down the bartender to order another round. “Seems only fair if it’s buy Chloe a drink day that I get to buy you one too,” he joked with a weak smile. “You okay?”
