Lucas was thankful that she had just taken his comment and let it go. Merlin, he was awful at this. He wasnât surprised of course. It wasnât like his family had been all that keen on him spending time with muggles before this. The blond rolled his eyes at her comment. âI didnât mean to do it alone , or in your apartment.â He said as if she were being utterly ridiculous. âYou need to get more imaginative.â
âOh I apologise, I couldnât hear you properly over the queue of suitors I have lining up to court me and offering to buy a simple girl a drink.â She exaggerated holding her arm out to the air as if there were an actual queue before mimicking binoculars and searching for the non existant people. âMy imagination is perfectly fine thank you very much. I like my own company, it means I donât have to put up with annoying pests.â
Lucas rolled his eyes and shook his head, though even he couldn't help the small, amused smile that made it to his lips as she mimicked binoculars. He wasn't sure how to respond to it for a moment, before he leaned on the counter. "Would you like a drink?" He asked, a smirk curling on his lips as he tried to prove a point. Of course he was almost certain she would have some retort to that as well. It wasn't often he wasn't kept on his toes with her. "Are you sure?" He asked, raising a brow. "And everyone is an annoying pest?"
