Yoga with Jessica George Jessica practices yoga through the etymology of the word. “Yoga” – to yoke – funnily enough a root and reference to the center of an egg.  Commonly thought of as a practice through which you become more and more spiritually adept – yoga is for all intents and purposes a great facilitator of such things -- for those in her class, it is to be admired mostly for the far reaching effects of remembering to breathe and increased flexibility.  Since spirituality can be found through ones awareness of the natural rise and fall of the ocean, the bass and melodies of sound, the climb to the top of a mountain and in the depths of the wood – the endeavor to move within all of these places is made easier through practiced flexibility – the impetus for her offering to lead movement in a group is with the objective of a shared sense of known limits and allowances and how to grow beyond within and beyond what we understand of such things. Her practice is demonstrated with reverence for the most golden part of an egg, your own center. 

Jessica is trained through Child Light Yoga Teacher training, the long hike through night and day from current civilization to the ancient ruins of Machu Piccu, and visiting the Parthenon with her family as a child. She teaches from the framework that all humans, whether aware of it or not, create identity through what has come before. Humans are distinguished by what surrounds them. Old school writing, the creation myths of others cultures, great thinkers and players all help inform modern advancement in our present day ability to conduct integrative flexible practices with tradition remaining in mind. This universally applicable framework directs her to help people stretch through the chaos that in a proper perspective is perfect order. Perspective work is done in her drawing classes. Kids' Yoga and Story Time with Jessica George and Anna Blash

Children are invited to explore the dreamy world they naturally live in, where the veil between the fictions created through imagination and the natural world has yet to be lifted. With heads, hearts and limbs engaged in the story, your kiddo will move, breath, stretch and rest before enjoying playtime with friends after class. 1:30-2:30 $10
