here is a gofundme link for elcias hernandez ortiz, who was shot but is currently in intensive care as i write this. he was the only survivor of this attack. his family will need help paying for the medical bills. (cnn includes this link in an article about the attack.)

grace³ excerpts re: gracelyn&beatrice

She remembers when she was real. It was a long time ago, maybe eons, maybe years. Her skin was warm, her face muddied from frolicking carelessly in the woods. She was a child then, who cried and whined and bled red blood. She is still a child now but she does not feel like one. One day, maybe she'll feel like one again, but she knows it won't be until she dies.

But how much of your daughter did you actually know and how much did you make up? What is Beatrice, other than bits of chaos patchworked, from rumours and ideals and friends, and did you ever really know the true Beatrice? Is there even a true Beatrice? Or is it just shadows, is it just Gracelyn alone in the void with fragments of her own mind?

She hugs you ever tighter. She smells of peaches and woodland, but her skin is hard and cold. You run her fingers along her cracks, and you wonder how much longer you can do this. How much longer you can live a picture-perfect cottage life how much longer you can keep you both happy, loving, a family. You tell yourself it's forever. You almost believe it.

hi everybody, it's @/portinaris. i decided to make a cool fancy aesthetic new writeblr sideblog to organise all my writing and separate it from the musical + dante + star wars stuff!

im one of those writeblrs that doesn't actually write that much

i love plotting but i have 0 patience for a novel so ill probably pop in and just post some excerpts + edits from time to time

my wips are insanely self indulgent which means you should expect characters of colour, queer characters, neurodivergent (esp. aspie) leads + lots and lots of symbolism that doesn't actually mean anything + elements of whatever im fixating on at the time

grace³: a british angel, chinese ghost, and desi seer hunt down a missing girl; aka a fun ya fantasy story that deals with letting go, friendship, and forgiveness w/ an all female cast

the florence files: a latin student is dragged into solving the mystery of their crush's murder; aka a dark academia thriller about idolisation + lies, feat. very heavy dante aligheri/divine comedy influences
