University AU: George is scientist and Lockwood doesn’t know what he is doing with his life (but they are working on it together).

Lucy Carlyle
Lockwood & Co.
Lockyle | maximum Anthony Lockwood Lucy Carlyle
| “….Yes, but you can only truly see the stars when the night is at its darkest.” |
Anthony Lockwood Lockwood & Co.
from me, from you. and now it’s time to leave and turn to dust.
If Lockwood and Co. was a video game would you be able to unlock different character skins? Imagine unlocking ‘Party Lucy’ or ‘Tourist Lockwood’ or ‘Casual George’ and then depending on your skin, NPC characters might say something different (Ex: NPC George would comment on Tourist Lockwood’s shorts or something like that.) The original skins that everyone would start with would be the outfits that each characters wear on a case.
Depending on the character you pick to play as, the other characters will be NPC’s that will join in your party.
The real question is…. What time of game would the Lockwood and Co. video game be? Would it be an RPG or a sandbox type game? Maybe a mix of both where after you go on a case, you can come back to 35 Portland row and decorate it however you want and when you’re on a case, you can be free to explore however you want and you can take on the ghost however you want. If you’re playing Lucy, you’d have all of the normal options but you could also try taking to it. If you’re Lockwood then your chances to defeat the ghost recklessly and still survive rise. If you’re George then you’d have access to inventions meant to make your case easier!
Maybe there would be extra gameplay you could unlock or buy like helping Flo search for sources or the case of Mrs. Barrett’s Tomb.
When you’re Lucy, would the skull give you tips about where the ghost is? Maybe the tips are pretty misleading and sometimes cause you trouble!
I swear, if i ever get RPG Maker, I’m making the unofficial Lockwood and Co. game and nobody can stop me!
I feel like Lucy’s secretly really good with kids and sometimes younger Night Watch kids will grab her hand when they tell her what they saw/heard/felt
and Lockwood sits there and watches and smiles with fondness because she can be feisty but also tender
Send me your favorite Locklyle AU!

Oh boy... too many....
The first night home following the creeping shadow incident is troubling. Lockwood finds that, with everything they’d discovered—and, more importantly, everything he and Lucy had experienced—he is completely unable to sleep. His head is full of half-finished ideas and memories he doesn’t know how to process. Theories about what Rotwell had been up to clash with feelings that he has no outlet for, and the end result is a spectacular mess of thought and emotion that demands his complete attention.
He sits awake for what feels like hours, trying to organize the noise into something manageable. Mostly he just feels like he’s drowning.
When he does surface from his self-made sea of chaos, it’s because someone has stepped on that squeaky floorboard at the bottom of the stairs. Lockwood is still long enough to comprehend what he’s heard before he’s throwing himself out of bed, his stomach twisting in irrational panic.
