the original story of Arthur and Nico is a road trip through a dream world, and a limbo-like place such as Lucid Blocks lowkey falls in the category of places they could visit. plus Nico is religious and the game is all about that

A comparison. What can I say, I thickened and squared up our boys again. Two years ago, my style went really hard into an extreme with stretching all the characters' features. Let's just say I switched from drawing sans-es to drawing skinny grandpas and then went so crazy I started applying it to everyone. Although, part of the reason is that both Rulfie and Roman used to be AU Phillip-looking mfs XD
Archie finally started looking like an Asian for real. The meme though is that he's only half Asian, and in our roleplay, it was only as a result of searching for his identity that he started getting interested in his culture; otherwise, he grew up in the same country as the rest of them.
The setting is city N in America, although in essence, if we moved them to, say, St. Petersburg, probably not much would change, it would fit just perfectly with crime bosses, brothels, and punk rockers ahahaha XD
So yeah, it's an interesting trio: two crime bosses and a pretty boy musician.
BEWARE BACKSTORY STUFF-
Rulfie met Roman initially on business—the latter supplied fun pills at the parties where Rulfie performed. Rulfie was the first to strike up a conversation, and since these two had a similar sense of humor and background (poverty), they understood each other pretty well. For Rulfie back then, Roman was this charismatic and mysterious pimp, fun and interesting to talk to. Rulfie was drawn to him because he almost completely existed outside Rulfie's usual circle, which was all about music, success, and brand.
Rulfie back then, oh god, was married, and his wife Mary was his producer, a pretty demanding one at that. Rulfie loved her passionately; she was the one who lifted him up in show business, the partner with whom he realized himself. For her, Rulfie was a project that at some point started slipping out of her control. Rulfie craved authenticity, she craved stability. Also, she couldn't keep him on a leash anymore, understanding how much her lack of reciprocity in their relationship was hurting him. So Mary filed for divorce.
Rulfie was shattered. Everything they had built together—their brand, property, home—all had to be divided and given away. Because Rulfie refused to part ways amicably back then. He went through denial, anger, bargaining, and got stuck at depression. And then the main person in his life who supported him gradually became Roman. By that point, they had been friends for several years, had already gotten tangled up together in a couple of not-very-legal scrapes. There was even a time when Rulfie helped Roman hide drugs in truck tires (so Rulfie's unfinished mechanic's education came in handy). And… by that time, these two already felt a certain attraction for each other, which mostly surfaced through jokes. Until, at one moment, the jokes about Roman being a sugar daddy stopped being jokes and they actually started practicing BDSM sessions.

He is not a grimwalker OC but also he kinda is ahahha. Not litteraly but in spirit. We came up with him a while ago but since he is an episodic character that apears only in the past of the story (guess why) he wasnt very interesting... but then I drew him. And oh well.
We got attached and Christopher now has personality! Yay :D
