hello mizu!!! you're genuinely so cool i love how you depict luffy in all of your writing, i can't imagine him any other way
just a question because i love your insight
how do you think luffy would react when flustered? in all my years alive, I don't think I remember an instance in anime or fan fiction where a scenario manages to catch luffy blushing and stuttering, he's genuinely too chill for that
I feel like if he'd walk in on y/n naked or smthing he'd just laugh 😔
HELLO !!! thank you so much for the luv youre so sweet !!!
hmmmm, that's definitely a great question ! i think you dont see it often because he really is a shameless/pretty unbothered weirdo in areas people would probably get flustered, i think the most ive seen him act flustered was maybe as a gag in the animanga ? and even then he was just gigglin being silly
considering luffy had no problem wakin up naked in a cage with a bunch of women seeing him in his birthday suit i seriously doubt he'd get flustered about seeing you naked. it's not like he doesn't like it but to him its like well we're all born naked arent we so who cares ? i told you, weirdo. the only way i could see him getting flustered about it is if you (understandably) freak out about it. he's made it such a habit of barging into your room whenever he wants that if you kick him out bc its embarrassing he might stumble over his words n flail his arms around n swear he didn't see anything he swears!!!!
and then afterwards he'll be kinda jumpy around you, stare at you with wide eyes n constantly avoiding looking at you. fortunately, he physically can't stay away from you lol so it only lasts like--what--15 minutes at most ? before he'll come over wrap himself around you like a slinky n apologize n promise he'll try to remember to knock next time. oh well, how could you stay mad at that face :(((
i think in general he'd maybe get flustered about super generic things, it's hard to tell. monkey boy literaly grew up being a monkey boy (living in the forest hunting for his food??? lol) and living with thieves in an oversized dumpyard i dont think he got coddled often if at all besides if he was in town with makino. and he loves clinging to you for attention all the time but i thin if you were to REALLY coddle him like coo at him n treat him like a baby for a bit too long he'd get a little shy.
he'd be surprised, try to laugh it off at first but then he starts frowning a bit. not mad or anything but he gets pouty. he'll either shove his hat over his face or shove it on yours so he wont have to look at you n get all red in the face n mumbling "quit bein' silly, m'not a baby.." n if you laugh it off after a bit he'll turn away from you all pouty. notice how i said turn away and not leave bc lets be honest...he doesn't want to. he kinda has that kid instinct from his younger days still engrained in him that being coddled is for babies (see how he was w momonosuke for example lol) and he doesnt need that...but on one hand theres a part of him that kinda sorta really likes it.
so he'll huff a bit but it's really all for show, scratch his back a bit n he'll be all over you again.
"b-but don't do that again, though, okay ! m'not a baby !" he says, face literally shoved into your stomach you can barely even hear him lol. ofc you wont
imagine: things that remind me of you.

Luffy always kept his straw hat close. Everyone knew that.
What no one knew was that he kept other things, too.
Tiny knickknacks tucked away inside a small wooden box.
To anyone else, they looked like nothing more than junk. Old trinkets with no purpose.
To him, they were pieces of you.
The first thing he reached for was a butterfly hair clip.
Gold, with tiny dangling charms that shimmered whenever they caught the light.
Luffy had never cared much about accessories, but he knew this one mattered. It has been your favorite ever since your grandmother gave it to you for your birthday. You wore it almost every day.
The moment he held it, the memory came rushing back.
Luffy, Ace, and Sabo were wandering through town, doing what they always did—running around, causing harmless trouble, and pretending they weren't being chased by annoyed shopkeepers.
Most people ignored them.
Until someone familiar spotted them.
"Luffy!"
Your voice rang through the street.
Luffy's head snapped up, his eyes widening with recognition.
"(Y/n)!"
Without a second thought, he launched himself at you.
The force knocked both of you flat onto the dirt road with a loud thud.
Luffy burst into laughter.
"Luffy!" Sabo scolded, grabbing him by the back of his shirt and hauling him off you. "You can't just tackle people!"
You simply laughed as you brushed the dust from your clothes.
"It's okay," you said. "I'm used to him."
"I'm really sorry about him," Sabo apologized.
You waved him off. "It's fine."
As Luffy climbed back to his feet, something shiny caught his attention.
His eyes locked onto the butterfly clip nestled in your hair.
"Whoa..."
He pointed at it."That's pretty."
You smiled, your fingers brushing over the golden butterfly.
"Thanks. My grandma gave it to me."
The clip glittered in the sunlight.
Luffy couldn't stop staring.
"Oh!" he suddenly exclaimed, remembering something important."You've never met my brothers!"
He proudly pointed between the two boys.
"This is Ace! And this is Sabo!"
Ace sighed."Idiot. We're not your real brothers."
You looked between them before smiling knowingly.
"I understand."
Your eyes lingered on Sabo for just a moment.
You recognized him immediately. It was hard not to, he came from one of the wealthiest noble families around.
Judging by the brief look of surprise on his face, he recognized you, too.
"They may not be your brothers by blood," you said, "but they're your brothers by choice."
Ace raised an eyebrow.
"Huh." He looked you up and down. "You talk fancy."
You opened your mouth to explain until you heard your name.
"(Y/n)!"
Your mother's voice echoed through the street.
You sighed."I have to go."
You gave each of the boys a quick wave.
"It was nice meeting you."
Ace and Sabo returned the gesture.
Luffy barely noticed.
His eyes remained fixed on the butterfly clip sparkling in your hair.
Neither of you knew that one day, he would keep it as one of his most treasured memories.
"So..." Ace smirked. "When were you planning on telling us about that fancy girl?"
Luffy gently placed the butterfly clip back into the wooden box before closing the lid.
Inside were the rest of the things he'd kept over the years.
The book you'd given him.
Little odds and ends that reminded him of you.
Nothing valuable.
Everything priceless.
The Thousand Sunny was approaching another island, and excitement buzzed through the crew.
Luffy was practically vibrating.
"Don't disappear the second we dock," Nami warned.
"I won't!" he replied instantly.
She gave him a skeptical look.
"...You absolutely will."
Still, she decided to go with him.
Lately, she'd found herself wanting to stay close to him whenever they visited new islands.
Partly because someone had to keep him from spending all their money.
Mostly because she couldn't stop wondering about the mysterious person whose name was in the book she'd been reading aloud.
Money pouch in hand, Nami hurried after Luffy as he raced through the bustling streets.
"Slow down!" she called.
To her surprise, he actually did.
Luffy stopped so suddenly that she nearly walked into him.
His entire body had gone still.
"(Y/n)?"
Your name escaped him so softly it was almost a prayer.
Nami froze. That name again. She followed his gaze into the sea of strangers filling the marketplace.
There were too many people. She couldn't tell who he was looking at.
Luffy didn't hesitate.
He pushed through the crowd.
"(Y/n)!"
People stumbled aside as he squeezed between them.
"There!"
He grabbed someone's shoulder.
The stranger turned.
It wasn't you.
Luffy stared for a long moment.
"...You're not (Y/n)."
The words barely left his mouth.
The hope that had brightened his face disappeared just as quickly.
He searched the crowd again.
Left.
Right.
Every face.
Nothing.
It was as if you'd never been there at all.
"Luffy?"
Nami's voice pulled him back.
He quickly rubbed at his eyes before turning toward her with his usual grin.
"Shishishi... sorry about that."
"Did you see them?"
Luffy blinked.
"See who?"
"(Y/n)."
For just a second, his smile faltered.
"No."
He scratched the back of his head.
"I just thought I did."
Nami's expression softened.
She didn't say anything.She didn't need to.
Luffy could tell she pitied him. He ignored it.
Even if you hadn't really been there, something inside him insisted you were close.
Maybe it was wishful thinking.
Maybe it was because you had been on his mind more than usual.
Or maybe, it was because everywhere he looked, he found little reminders of you.
Sanji had started making your favorite snacks one afternoon without ever knowing they were your favorites.
It was only a coincidence.
Luffy knew that.
But he chose to believe otherwise. Because believing made it easier to keep hoping.
And hope was enough.
One day, somewhere on the Grand Line, the two of you would meet again.
LUFFY who fucks his secret wife!reader on sight! and his crew finds out about you...the hard way.

Fresh out of Wano and low on supplies, the Straw Hats decided to make a quick pit stop when the opportunity arose.
The island didn’t have a name on any map Nami owned.
From afar, it looked anything but quiet. The crowded docks overflowing with ships, voices carrying loudly over the water, and buildings stacked tightly together.
Bright banners hung between rooftops, market stalls spilled into the streets, and narrow alleys twisted through the city like a maze built on noise.
Nothing about it suggested peace.
They could blame their recent encounter at Wano for their alertness.
Perhaps the adrenaline had yet to die out, but this island screamed distraction...which somehow made everyone more cautious...or, in Luffy’s case, more excited.
“SHISHISHI! Let’s go!” Luffy laughed, already halfway over the Sunny’s railing before they’d even properly docked.
“LUFFY!” Nami snapped. “You’re not-!”
Too late. He was gone.
Usopp groaned dramatically. “He’s going to get kidnapped one day. I’m telling you. One day.”
Zoro stretched lazily, resting a hand on his swords. “Who’s dumb enough to kidnap him?”
Sanji exhaled smoke, lazily examining the docks.
“Idiots exist everywhere, marimo.”
Either Zoro didn't pick up on Sanji's taunt, or he acted indifferent.
Robin smiled faintly, stepping onto the dock with quiet curiosity.
“It’s an interesting place. I didn't expect to see an island on route to Egghead."
"Me neither. It barely picked up on the log pose!" Nami chimed in.
"It seems harmless enough. I wonder what kind of history it holds.” Robin observes as she too gets off onto the docks.
Chopper bounced beside her. “Do you think they have new herbs?!”
Franky cracked his knuckles. “Or cola?!”
Brook laughed, light and airy. “Or perhaps beautiful ladies? Though I do not have eyes to see them, yohohoho!”
“DON’T ENCOURAGE HIM,” Nami snapped, pointing at Sanji.
“I don’t need encouragement,” Sanji said smoothly, already walking off. “I have instinct.”
"Okay. Be on the lookout for Luffy! And don't overspend my money!" Nami orders.
"OUR MONEY!" Ussop complains, immediately shut down by Nami's glare.
They mutually agree to split off into groups so no other crew member wanders off.
Nami and Robin walk away, Zoro and Sanji right on the their trail as their usual banter ensues.
Ussop and Chopper run off with excitement, Franky showcasing similar enthusiasm.
Brook joins Jimbe in looking for supplies, the latter keeping Brook away from any women.
Within minutes, the crew scattered across the island, each pulled by their own interests.
And Luffy...
Luffy followed something else entirely.
He didn’t bother asking anyone where to go.
The moment his feet hit the dock, he was already pulled in by the noise. The kind that meant food and something fun waiting around every corner.
The stalls lined up one after the other with things frying, grilling, and steaming. The smell hit him almost immediately.
“Meat…”
He grinned.
Luffy pushed through the crowd without hesitation, weaving past people and slipping between stalls until he reached a long stretch of open vendors.
Skewers, fried snacks, stacked plates of things he didn’t recognize.
His eyes lit up as he leaned over one stall, then another, already halfway into asking for something before getting distracted by the next.
“Woah—what’s that? And that! Can I try that too?!”
The vendor barely had time to respond before Luffy’s attention shifted again, his gaze sweeping across the row;
And then stopping.
Not on food.
On you.
His lovely wife.
Someone his own crew didn't even know about.
It's not like he was trying to hide it. They just hadn't asked.
You were sitting on one of the small stools of a nearby stall, finishing up what looked like a snack, one hand lazily resting against the counter as you handed the vendor some money.
For a second, he didn’t move.
Then the joy hit.
And his entire face broke into a grin.
You stood, brushing your hands together lightly as you thanked the vendor and stepped away from the stall.
That’s when he moved.
Fast.
His arms shot forward, stretching across the space between you in an instant before snapping back, pulling you straight into him.
“Gomu Gomu no—HUG!”
“Luffy?!”
You barely had time to react before he wrapped around you completely, stretchy arms tight and unrelenting, lifting you slightly off your feet with the force of it.
“Shishishi! [name]!!” he laughed, like it was the best thing that could’ve happened to him.
“Luffy!! Put me down-!” you huffed, but there was no real bite to it, your hands already gripping onto him like you weren’t planning to let go either.
Luffy pressed his face into your shoulder, holding you there like he needed to make sure you were actually real.
“I missed you,” he said, simple and honest, voice a little softer than usual with his persistent grin.
Something in your chest tightened.
“…it’s 3 been months,” you murmured, your hand coming up to the back of his head without thinking.
“Yeah,” he said. “Sooooooo long!!” he whines.
Pulling away from you, your feet touch the ground as he steps back, but not too far.
Never far.
His hands slid up to your face instead, thumbs brushing against your cheeks as he looked at you properly now.
“You’re okay.” he said, almost to himself.
You let out a small breath. “…so are you.”
“Of course I am!” he grinned instantly.
And then, he leaned in and kissed you.
It was warm. Familiar. Like he didn’t need to think about it.
He pulled back just enough to look at you again, giving you the same smile before leaning back in.
Then again. And again.
“Slow down-!” you tried to protest, but it came out more like a laugh as he peppered your face with kisses, completely shameless in the middle of the street.
People spared a few glances here and there, some judging, others just smiling in fondness.
“…Luffy,” you said, but you were already smiling.
He laughed softly, pressing one more quick kiss to your lips before finally easing back, though his hands didn’t leave you.
“I haven’t seen you since I left Rushikwanya.” he said.
“Rusukaina,” you corrected.
“Yeah!”
“You didn’t even say goodbye properly.” You pout a little, Luffy's personality definitely having brushed off on you during the 2 years you had spent together.
“I did!”
“You waved and ran.”
“That counts!”
You huffed, but it faded quickly.
"I'M HUNGRY!!" He complains against your cheek, as you sigh.
"Let's go eat. We have loads to catch up on."
"YAY!!"
You had known him before the sea had claimed him.
Before he became a name whispered across oceans.
Before any of his bounties and titles or impossible feats.
Back when he was just a boy in a small village, loud and reckless and full of dreams too big for the place he came from.
You weren’t part of his world in the same way Ace or Sabo had been, but you had been there.
You shared a quiet bond, something the two of you were too young to understand back then.
When he left at 19, you didn’t stay behind for long.
You weren't chasing him. Rather, staying had never been an option for you either.
You became a traveler. Moving from island to island, following curiosity instead of purpose; stories instead of maps.
Your paths barely crossed, Luffy having already moved on to the next island before you had even set foot on it.
You had better luck running into Ace before you even reunited with Luffy.
It was a short meeting, but it had felt nice to be in a familiar presence. Especially since Ace often acted as an elder sibling to you.
During your departure back then, Ace had left you with a small piece of Luffy's Vivre card, knowing you had grown eager to see him at least once.
He had even promised to treat the two of you if all three of you ended up crossing paths together.
Which is why it had hurt terribly when the news of Ace's death reached you.
Even worse that it had been the premise of your long awaited reunion with Luffy.
Luffy had already been residing at Rusukaina for about a month at that point, training rigorously with Rayleigh.
Hancock had not been shy while showing reluctance to your arrival, but she could barely retort when Luffy held you for hours, sobbing into your shoulder.
That had been the only day he took a rest from training, preferring to be in your company and helping you settle in.
After that, forming a relationship had come easy for the two of you. Falling asleep in each other's arms, watching him train, tending to his wounds, sharing stolen kisses.
You hadn't even hesitated when he asked you to marry him in passing. It was another quiet evening when he asked you in conversation, and you agreed.
The two of you married quietly with the help of Boa Hancock (much to her disdain).
No ceremony, no dress, no extravagance. Just two rings and a feast.
And when the two years had come to an end, Luffy had tried one last time to recruit you, only to be met with rejection.
He had just grinned in understanding.
You didn't join him to his trip to Saobody, despising that place.
Rather, you stayed at Amazon Lily for approximately two weeks, planning your journey ahead.
About 3 months later, Luffy's name flooded the papers.
3 Million Berries. An Emperor Of The Sea. His new appearance. Defeat of Kaido and Big Mom.
You had so much to talk about, but no means to do so.
He didn't have a personal Den Den Mushi, nor did you know his ship's contact.
The Vivre Card had long been forgotten somewhere, so your best bet was to predict the Straw Hat's future route.
Although you weren't excited to go to Egghead, you knew there couldn't be any other destination for the Straw Hats.
You had stopped at this island because the ship from Wano only went so far. For Egghead, you would have to get on another ship.
But now, you couldn't be happier to have finally met Luffy. It had saved you a trip.
Walking beside him, he keeps your hand intertwined with his.
“You got taller somehow.” you say, studying him now that the initial rush had settled.
“I did?”
“Yes. And bigger.”
“I’m strong now!” he said proudly.
“I can tell. You almost broke my ribs.”
He laughed again, that same bright, careless sound. “SHISHISHI!”
You gain a smile before losing it a moment later.
“I saw your new bounty,” you added.
“Oh yeah?” he said, completely casual. “It’s big, right?”
“Three Billion Berries, Luffy.”
“Yeah! I am an Emperor now!”
You narrowed your eyes slightly. “It's not just your bounty, Luffy.”
“Hm?”
“The picture.”
He tilted his head.
“You look… different,” you said carefully. “White hair. Different expression. Almost like-”
“Oh! That!” he perked up immediately, like you’d asked him something fun.
“That’s when I’m the most free!”
Your eyebrows knit in bewilderment, your steps slowing down without realizing.
“…That explains nothing.”
“It’s my form, I guess,” he said, stretching his arms behind his head casually.
“When I feel the most free, that’s what I look like!”
You stared at him, realizing that he had awakened his Devil Fruit.
You shook your head slightly at his familiar indifference.
“…You’re ridiculous.”
He grinned. “Yeah!”
Somehow, the answer made perfect sense.
Most of the day had been spent eating and chatting. Your pockets had been drained (not that you minded) with the amount of food Luffy insisted on trying.
It was ridiculously late at night, streets empty and quiet. And Luffy was looking for something sweet to end his day.
"Nothing will be open now, Luffy. All shops have already closed for the day."
"But I want dessert!!"
"You should head back to your crew. They must be worried."
Standing in front of a closed bakery, he grins in sucess.
"My crew can handle themselves! They're super strong! You should meet them!" He says walking towards the door.
Clutching the handle, it breaks off in one swift motion.
"Luffy! Why did you do that?!" You shout in a whisper, evidently mad at him.
"Whatttt?? I will leave some money for them!" He whines.
"What money, Luffy? Your pockets are empty!"
"You're my wifey. So your money is my money! Shishishi!" He walks into the bakery and you quickly follow behind him.
You roll your eyes, letting out a sigh as he digs through their packaged food.
You, on the other hand, shut the door and draw all the blinds, hoping to shield your husband's theft from any potential passersby.
You suppose you couldn't be too mad at his actions. He was a pirate after all.
The curtains were thin, allowing the moonlight to pass through it without any resistance.
You took a seat on one of the tables, watching Luffy scarf down his dessert of packaged puff pastries.
He sat on one of the chairs surrounding your table, holding out a pastry towards your face for you to have.
You eat it slowly, admiring your husband closely.
By the time you were done with your serving (which was like less than a minute), Luffy had exhausted all the bakery's puff pastries.
Finally, patting his stomach in satisfaction, he looked up at you.
"Where are you staying?" He inquired.
"There's an inn close by. Would you like to come with me? Or will you be returning to your ship?"
He rubbed his chin in thought for a moment before slamming his hand on the table.
"Of course I'll come with you!"
You smiled. "Great!"
"Ah!" Luffy's eyes widen in joy, taking a closer look at your face.
"What is it?" You tilt your head in confusion.
And instead of answering, he bursts out into laughter.
"AHAHAHHAHAHAHAH! YOU HAVE FROSTING ON YOUR FACE! AHAHAHHAHA"
He laughed slamming his hand on the table repeatedly.
You burn with embarrassment and anger, placing your palms on your cheeks.
"Luffy! Stop laughing!!"
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!"
"Luffy!!" You were beyond irritated, wiping at your face to see if he was being truthful.
"Shishishi! You're so silly! You're not even close!" He stands up, giggling now, and he stands in front of you.
Before you can reprimand him, he leans in and takes a swipe at the corner of your mouth with is tongue.
"Got it~! Shishishi..." He teases excitedly, standing close to you.
You pout, hitting his exposed chest softly as he naturally makes himself comfortable standing between your legs.
Silence falls over.
Luffy doesn’t step back; he just stays there, close enough that you can feel the warmth of him, the steady rise and fall of his breathing, the faint sweetness still lingering between you both.
His grin fades into something softer.
He just… looks at you.
Like he forgot what he was doing a second ago.
“…You taste sweet,” he says, quieter now.
Your breath catches a little at that— stupid, simple words.
His hand comes up again, thumb brushing where he’d just licked, like he’s checking if he missed something.
He hadn't, but he doesn’t move away either.
And neither do you.
His grip shifts, fingers curling lightly at your waist, pulling you just a little closer.
He needs you closer.
"I reallyyy missed you. baby."
"Me too."
You lean into it without thinking, and that’s all it takes.
He pulls you in.
The kiss isn’t playful. It’s a little messy.
Maybe even a little too much.
You could tell he’s been thinking about it longer than he should have.
You exhale softly into the kiss, your hands finding his shoulders, gripping just slightly as you lean into him, closing whatever space is left between you.
He makes a small sound against your mouth, low, almost like he forgot where he was for a second.
“WHAT?!” Nami’s voice rang across the deck, sharp enough to make Chopper flinch.
It hit them all at once.
Luffy hadn’t come back.
Not after hours. Not after sunset. Not even now, when the island had gone quiet and the sea had settled into that slow, late-night stillness.
“…we forgot,” Usopp said slowly, like he couldn’t believe it himself.
Franky crossed his arms, frowning. “SUPER forgot.”
Brook tilted his head. “How unfortunate. Though, to be fair, our captain does have a habit of wandering off—”
“That doesn’t mean we just leave him out there!” Nami snapped.
Chopper’s ears drooped, anxiety written all over his face. “You don’t think he was really kidnapped, do you?”
“I highly doubt that, dear,” Robin said gently, resting a hand on his head. “Our captain is very strong. So don’t worry, okay?”
“But still…” Chopper mumbled, unconvinced.
Zoro, who had been leaning against the railing with his eyes half-closed, let out a quiet huff.
“If someone did try to kidnap him, I feel bad for them.”
Sanji exhaled smoke, brows slightly furrowed as he looked toward the dark outline of the island.
“Yeah… but he’s been gone a while.”
Jinbe, who had been standing near the helm, spoke calmly, his voice steady against the tension.
“Luffy is not one to be easily overpowered. However… it is unlike him to stay away this long without reason.”
That was enough to set Nami off.
She clicked her tongue, already grabbing her staff.
“That’s it. We’re not waiting around anymore.”
Everyone looked at her.
“We’re going to look for him,” she said firmly.
“Before he causes trouble, or worse, gets himself into something we have to fix. With MY MONEY!”
Sanji stepped forward immediately. “Of course, Nami-san. I’ll go with you.”
Robin smiled softly. “I’ll join as well.”
Zoro pushed himself off the railing with a quiet sigh.
“Tch. Someone’s gotta drag him back.”
“Good,” Nami said, nodding once. Then she turned to the rest of the crew.
“The rest of you stay here,” she ordered. “If he comes back while we’re gone, don’t let him leave again.”
“Aye aye!” Usopp saluted, though he still looked uneasy.
Chopper nodded quickly. “Be careful!”
Brook clasped his hands together. “May I request a full report when you return? For… research purposes.”
“NO,” Nami said instantly.
Franky grinned. “We’ll hold down the Sunny.”
Jinbe gave a small nod. “We will remain here and keep watch. Do not worry.”
Nami didn’t wait any longer.
“Let’s go.”
And just like that, the four of them headed back toward the island, completely unaware of what, exactly, they were about to walk into.
"Ohh-!"
Yeah. Definitely not something you'd want to witness.
Luffy had gotten comfortable between your legs, shamelessly inhaling you as he bit down on the flash of your inner thigh.
You were naked from the bottom, your top and innerwear hiked up to bare your chest for him.
He fondled you effortlessly, hands kneading your tits as though he was moulding something out of it.
Your thighs rested on his shoulder, making it easy for him to continue the movements of his hands as he pushed forward, tongue meeting your heat, cooling down the fever just a tad.
An arm rested over your eyes, as your other hand overlapped Luffy's on your breast.
"Mphm-! Lu-!"
His tongue works overtime now, making up for lost time. The time away from his lovely wife.
Luffy worked feverishly between your thighs, lapping at your dripping sex with unbridled enthusiasm. His tongue delved deep, parting your glistening folds to plunge inside your tight, clutching heat.
Luffy's hands kneaded your breasts roughly, fingers sinking into the soft, pliant flesh. He seemed fascinated by the way your nipples pebbled under his touch, straining against his palms.
"Hahahhh-! It's even wetter than before!" Luffy chuckles with a stupid grin, tongue lolling out to take a languid lick across your pussy.
Sex had always been a confusing topic for both of you.
Yes, you had been intimate on numerous accounts, but coming into a new marriage and never having been close to each other in that way, you had a lot to learn.
So, you both would stay up late after your training sessions, learning each other's bodies and understanding what the other liked,
But right now, all of that was forgotten. The movements, the pattern, the rhythm. All of it.
You just did what felt right in the moment. And for Luffy, that was his face stuffed in your cunt.
"Feel good?" He questions with his tongue flat on your clit, hands circled around your thighs, and keeping them open.
"Mhm-!"
Your fingers curled into his hair, gripping tightly as you bucked your hips instinctively, seeking more of that delicious friction.
Luffy's tongue returned to your clit, swirling and flicking over the sensitive nub with focused intensity. He could feel your thighs trembling around his head, your body quaking with the force of your pleasure.
His own hands gripped your thighs tighter, fingers digging into the supple skin as he held you in place, stopping you from crushing his skull in your squirms of ecstasy.
"Mmmph, you taste yummy." Luffy murmured softly against your folds.
Luffy's tongue continued its relentless assault, lapping and suckling at your aching clit with single-minded focus. He could feel your body tensing, your walls fluttering around his invading muscle as he pushed you closer to the edge.
Your fingers tangled desperately in his hair, nails raking across his scalp as you clung to him, anchoring yourself against the impending tidal wave of sensation.
"Ahhh, Luffy! I...I can't..." you gasped out, voice ragged and breathless.
Your chest heaved, breasts bouncing slightly with each thrust of Luffy's head between your thighs.
The arm draped over your eyes clenched into a fist, knuckles turning white as you struggled to ground yourself amidst the pleasure.
Luffy just chuckled, the sound rumbling through you, vibrating your core. He could feel your body's desperation, your need for release.
But he was far from done with you, far from ready to let you find solace.
His tongue flicked rapidly over your clit, alternating between hard, pointed jabs and soft, sensual strokes, keeping you suspended in a state of agonizing bliss.
He seemed insatiable, hungry as he always is.
As his mouth worked tirelessly, two of his fingers sneakily pushed past your entrance, sinking knuckles-deep into your tight, clinging cunt.
"Just cum babyyy~ Wanna taste you already..."
With those words, he doubled his efforts, fingers pumping harder and faster, tongue lapping and suckling with wild abandon.
The obscene sound of your pussy squelching filled the bakery, mingling with your ragged breaths and Luffy's appreciative groans.
He could feel your body tensing, your walls fluttering wildly around his invading fingers as he brought you over the edge.
You spasm around him, allowing him to retract his fingers and lap up whatever you had to offer.
Your pants quiet down, relaxing against his tongue as your orgasm dies down.
Finally pulling back, he admires his handiwork.
His face was flushed, eyes glazed with lust as he took in the sight of your dripping pussy, swollen and slick with arousal.
Drool dripped down his chin, mingling with your juices as he grinned stupidly up at you, very pleased with your reaction.
"I could eat you for hours and never get bored of it!" He chuckled, a deep, rumbling sound that vibrated through his chest.
Luffy's hands moved to the waistband of his shorts, fingers fumbling for a moment before he tugged them down just enough to free his aching cock.
It sprang out, hard and thick, flushed a deep, already leaking at the tip.
Your hands moved on their own accord, wrapping around his length, stroking the smooth, silky skin that felt like velvet over steel.
"Oh, Luffy, please..." you whimpered, voice ragged and breathless.
Your body was still trembling, your core aching for fulfillment.
"Hurry..." you begged, the urgency in your voice rising as the reality of your situation sank in.
You were in a closed bakery, in public, in the dead of night.
Luffy grinned, his eyes widening at your desperate plea.
He may have been oblivious to some things, but he certainly wasn't deaf to the need in your voice.
With a newfound sense of urgency, he gripped your hips, fingers sinking into the soft flesh of your rear.
"Okayy~" Luffy chuckled, the tip of his cock nudging against your slick folds, teasing you with the promise of what was to come.
"Don't worry, I'll give it to you real good, baby."
Without further preamble, he thrust his hips forward, burying himself to the hilt in one smooth stroke.
A low, guttural groan tore from his throat as your tight, wet heat enveloped him, squeezing him like a velvet vice.
Your back arched off the cold wooden surface of the table, fingers scrabbling for purchase on the smooth, cool surface.
"Ohhh, Luffy!" you cried out, voice echoing mercilessly.
The sensation of being so suddenly filled, so completely stretched around his thick length, was almost too much to bear. Your walls fluttered and clenched, adjusting to the sudden intrusion.
Luffy started to move, hips pumping in a steady, relentless rhythm.
The obscene sound of skin slapping against skin burned your ears, mingling with your ragged breaths and Luffy's grunts of exertion.
"Hah, you feel- ngh-! ohhh-!! so g-good-!!" Luffy panted, hips never faltering in their tempo.
You could feel every ridge, every vein, the silky skin stretched taut over the thick column of his cock as he drove into you again and again.
Luffy leaned down, capturing your lips in a searing kiss. It was sloppy, passionate, and filled with a hunger that stole your breath away.
His tongue plundered your mouth, tangling with yours, swallowing your cries of ecstasy as he fucked you with a fervor that bordered on feral.
Perhaps it was your time apart, or that you usually fucked in a more personal setting, but you had forgotten a crucial thing.
Luffy...gets loud.
"OH! OH! OH! HAHH! You- Ohh-!!" He panted, voice ringing out loud and clear.
"I c-can feel you squeezing me-! Baby-! Amaz-! ing!!"
His words were punctuated by the slapping of skin on skin, the lewd, wet sounds of your bodies joining in carnal bliss.
He seemed fascinated by the way your breasts bounced with each powerful thrust, by the way your body jiggled and shook under him.
Luffy's eyes were wide, drinking in the erotic sight of you lost in pleasure.
Your cheeks were flushed, sweat gathering on your forehead as your face twisted to one of pure sex.
Giddy, he leans down to pepper kisses across your face, biting your burning cheek lovingly.
"Hah, yes, yes! Luffy-! hahh-!."
He leaned down, nipping and sucking at your neck, leaving a trail of red marks in his wake.
Luffy's enthusiasm was infectious, his sheer joy at bringing you pleasure written all over his face.
He was a man who wore his heart on his sleeve, and right now, his heart was screaming with a primal, all-consuming desire to make you feel the same, if not more, pleasure that he felt.
"Close-! Luffy-! Clos—!!" Your legs tightened around his waist.
Just as he heard your breathy warning, he felt your velvet walls suddenly clamp down around him, fluttering wildly before seizing up completely.
Your body went rigid beneath him, back arching sharply as a silent scream caught in your throat.
"Ohhh!" you gasped out, voice barely above a whisper as a sudden, intense orgasm overtook you.
Your cunt clenched down on him, gripping him like a silken, pulsing fist as your climax crashed through you without warning.
A gush of hot fluids flooded out around his cock, soaking his length and dripping down his thighs.
Luffy's eyes widened in surprise, brows shooting up to his hairline as he felt your sudden, quiet release.
"W-whoa...you're cumming already?" he asked, voice rising in pitch.
His fingers slowly rub your clit, aiding you to let it all out.
"Must've r-really missed me...!" He grins yet again.
Despite the unexpected swiftness of your orgasm, he didn't miss a beat, hips never faltering in their enthusiastic rhythm.
Your body trembled and shook beneath him, inner muscles milking his cock as the intense sensations washed over you.
Luffy could feel every clench and ripple, could sense the way your climax seemed to catch you off guard, sweeping through you before you had a chance to brace yourself.
"Hnghh-!! f-fuck!" he grunted, voice strained with the effort of holding back his own climax.
Sweat poured down his face, dripping onto your heaving chest as he loomed over you, eyes glazed and face flushed with desire.
You take his face into your hands, cupping his cheeks to steady him.
"Aaahh, baby, I'm...I'm getting close!" Luffy panted, words coming out in short, sharp bursts between each loud, drawn-out moan.
He was getting close...and loud.
You thought maybe the silent streets amplified the sound of his moans, but either way, it was desperately loud.
So loud that umm...well....
Nami walked ahead, her grip firm around the small piece of Luffy’s vivre card, watching as it trembled faintly and tugged her forward.
She didn’t say much, but her pace had quickened, her irritation from earlier now replaced with something sharper; unease, though she wouldn’t admit it out loud.
“He should be close,” she said after a moment, her voice lower now, more focused.
Sanji followed just behind her, his usual composure worn thin by the situation.
The cigarette between his fingers burned untouched as his eyes scanned the area, alert in a way that suggested he was already preparing for the worst.
Zoro walked a little to the side, one hand resting near his swords, while Robin moved with her usual calm.
The vivre card in Nami’s hand flickered wildly now, pulling them straight toward the source.
A closed bakery tucked with its windows covered by thin curtains.
And then it happened.
At first, it was just a dull sound from somewhere ahead. It echoed loud enough to make Nami stop mid-step.
“Did you hear that?” she asked, her voice hushed despite herself.
No one answered immediately, but they had all heard it.
Another noise followed almost immediately, louder than before. A rough, uneven groan that seemed to break halfway through, as though something had knocked the breath out of him.
Zoro’s hand moved, resting more firmly against the hilt of his sword as his eyes narrowed slightly.
“That wasn’t nothing,” he muttered.
Sanji’s gaze had already locked onto a building just ahead of them, his posture changing in an instant.
“It came from in there.”
They stood still for a moment, listening more carefully, and then it came again.
A sound that was unmistakably human this time.
Low. Strained. Dragged out in a discomforting way.
Nami felt something twist in her chest. “…that was Luffy.”
This time, no one questioned it. He was inside.
Sanji’s expression darkened completely, all traces of his usual charm gone as urgency took over.
“Someone’s got him,” he said, already stepping forward.
Zoro frowned, his grip tightening slightly. “That doesn’t sound like him fighting.”
Robin’s eyes narrowed just a fraction, her gaze fixed on the building ahead.
“No… it doesn’t."
Had someone really managed to restrain their captain? It seems so unlikely to them.
Sanji didn’t hesitate any longer.
“LUFFY!”
Sanji was already moving before anyone could say anything else, his foot planting firmly against the door as his voice rose with urgency.
The door didn’t stand a chance.
It burst open under the force of his kick, wood splintering as it slammed inward, the sudden noise cutting sharply through the quiet night.
The four of them rushed inside...
...and stopped.
Your turn your head abruptly in shock.
Your back was facing them, obscuring where you and Luffy were the most intimate.
Luffy, facing the door, halted in his moments, face still sweaty and eyes dazed.
"Oh. Hey guys!"
He greeted, as if his friends hadn't just caught him in the most obscene position ever.
Nami's voice came first.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Her shriek was so abrupt that it triggered your own panic.
"LUFFY! COVER ME!!" You exclaimed, completely humiliated.
"R-right!!" He panicked, doing the first thing he could think of.
His rubber arms elongated, circling around you in a giant hug.
"Not like- ughhh!!" You groaned, hiding your face in his neck.
Zoro turned away immediately.
Not even a second thought, just a hand to his forehead and a long, tired exhale.
"...I'm leaving," he muttered, already walking off like he hadn't seen a single thing.
Sanji completely lost it.
"LUFFYYYYYYYYY?!" he screamed, voice cracking as he whipped around, face burning red.
"YOU— WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?
Robin turned around as well, quietly chuckling into her hand.
"It seems our captain has been keeping secrets."
Usopp was the first to break.
"...There's no way," he said slowly, pointing at you like you might disappear if he blinked.
"There's no way this is real."
Chopper peeked from behind him, eyes sparkling with pure curiosity.
"She's real! She's real!! Luffy really has a wife!!"
"I told you I did," Luffy says picking at his nose as you slap it away.
"You NEVER told us that!" Nami snapped immediately, still not fully recovered from earlier.
"I have a ring too. SEE!" Luffy flaunted his wedding band, and you sighed, already predicting what's to come.
"YOU'RE WEARING IT ON THE WRONG HAND, DUMMY! HOW COULD WE HAVE KNOWN?"
Usopp scolds.
"No I'm not. [name] wears it on her right hand. See!"
Luffy justifies, holding up what was clearly your left hand, as evidence.
You chuckle awkwardly as Nami and Usopp start angrily knocking at his head.
"I am so sorry...that you had to see that." You apologized to Nami, knowing it was nothing short of traumatizing.
She just shyly rubs the back of her neck, throwing a few no problems your way.
Jimbe waves at you with a smile, which you reciprocate.
"It is good to see that you are well, Jimbe."
"You as well. I hope your travels have been safe, [name]. It has been a while since I visited Rusukaina."
"Visiting would have been futile since I have been at sea for the past two months."
Sanji stood off to the side, completely frozen, staring at you like you were some kind of divine being.
"She...is...married to Luffy..." he muttered under his breath, like the words themselves were impossible.
Franky let out a loud laugh. "SUPER unexpected!"
Brook clasped his hands together. "May I say, you are quite lovely! Though I must ask...may I see your pan—"
"DON'T YOU START NOW!" Nani knocks his head.
Luffy bursts out laughing, pulling you into him as he wraps his arm around your shoulder.
He gives you a big smooch, biting your cheek softly as you try to get out of his grasp.
Everyone felt like they had fainted at the sight.
Zoro just shook his head, already turning away, but the small smile on his face didn't go unnoticed.
Robin stepped forward with a gentle countenance.
"It's nice to meet you," she said, calm and warm, like this was the most natural thing in the world.
"You as well. I have been longing to meet all of you. I suppose introductions are in order?"
You smiled, looking at your husband's crew.
Luffy grinned, squeezing your hand a little tighter.
"This is my wife!" he announced proudly, like he'd been waiting to say it out loud.
thinking about how insufferable it has to be dating luffy. and not for the reasons people assume.
because it took you months, for your pet to warm up to you, to like you before eventually loving you.
and here comes luffy and your pet falls in love immediately after making eye contact. in fact, prefers luffy to you much to his delight and your annoyance.
The sound of fists hitting the wooden door echoes through the mountain.
Dadan grumbles from her chair “Who is it?!”
Another knock, louder this time.
She clicks her tongue and stands up “If this is one of those idiots asking for food again, I swear—” the door swings open and Dadan freezes
Standing there, with that stupid grin and that straw hat resting on his head, is Luffy.
For one second she only stares, then her face twists “YOU!”
Luffy blinks “Dadan?”
“You got some nerve showing your face here!”
“Huh?”
“Don’t ‘huh’ me, brat!”
She grabs him by the shirt and shakes him “Do you know how much trouble you caused?!”
“Ahahah! Sorry!”
“Why are you laughing?!”
Luffy laughs even harder, which almost annoys her more than usual.
Luffy scratches his cheek “Y/N isn’t here?”
Dadan's eye twitches “Of course she isn’t, idiot. Do you see her?”
Luffy rocks on his feet “Then I’ll wait.”
“No, you won’t.”
“Why?”
“Because I said so!”
“That doesn’t explain anything.”
“It doesn’t have to!”
Before Luffy can answer, footsteps come from behind him.
Dadan’s expression changes immediately and Luffy notices “Hm?”
He turns slightly and that’s when he hears a tiny voice, clear as day… “Dad?”
Luffy blinks, not because he thinks the child is talking to him, but because Dadan suddenly goes completely still.
So he finally turns around and then freezes.
You stand a few steps away from the house.
A basket hangs from your arm, while a little girl rests on your hip.
And your eyes are wide with shock.
For a second nobody moves or breathes.
Your grip on the basket tightens, then you take one step back and turn around, ready to leave… ready to pretend this never happened.
Then the little girl points directly at Luffy again “Dad?”
Your entire body goes stiff.
Luffy points at himself “Me?”
The little girl nods happily, then she looks up at you with bright eyes “Mom! It’s dad!”
Silence.
Luffy stares at her, then at you.
His mouth opens “...What?”
You close your eyes for a second, and when you finally open them again, Luffy is already walking toward you.
His eyes never leave your face “Y/N?”
You don’t answer.
“Y/N?”
The little girl waves at him “Hi dad!”
Luffy almost trips over his own feet “I’m not— I mean… what’s going on?”
He looks between the two of you “Why is she calling me dad?”
You let out a tired breath.
There's no point in hiding it… you never hid it anyway, so why start now?
You look him directly in the eyes “Because you are.”
Luffy stares “...Huh?”
“She’s your daughter.”
The world goes quiet.
Luffy doesn’t move or blink “My...”
His eyes slowly move toward the little girl as she smiles at him.
A smile so familiar it almost hurts.
Luffy points at her, then at himself and then at her again… “Mine?”
“Yes.”
“Mine mine? Only her?”
You stare at him confused “How many daughters do you think you have?”
“I DON’T KNOW!”
The little girl giggles.
Luffy looks genuinely panicked now “Wait wait wait— when did this happen?!”
You raise an eyebrow “Luffy.”
He pauses and his face slowly changes “...Oh.”
“Yeah. Oh.”
He counts on his fingers, then counts again, then his eyes go wide “Two… three years?”
“Two years, plus pregnancy time.”
“She’s two?”
“She turned two three months ago.”
Luffy stares at the little girl and the little girl stares back.
Then she reaches both arms toward him “Dad!”
Luffy jumps.
She giggles “Funny dad!”
Luffy looks completely lost.
You expected denial, shock and maybe even fear.
You expected him to run… instead he just looks at her and then at you.
“You really mean it?”
The question annoys you more than it should “No, Luffy. I found a random child and decided to blame you for fun.”
“Oh.” he pauses “...Wait, sarcasm?”
“Congratulations. You learned something while you were gone.”
He ignores that, or maybe he simply lets it pass.
His eyes go back to the little girl as she’s still reaching for him, still smiling, like she has known him forever.
Because in a way… she has.
Wanted posters. Newspapers. Stories before bed.
Your daughter knows his face and his smile before she knows his voice.
Luffy scratches the back of his neck “She really is mine?”
“Yes.”
“Oh.” another pause “Okay.”
You blink “...Okay?”
“Yeah.”
“That’s all?”
“What else should I say?”
Now it is your turn to freeze, because honestly… you don’t know.
Luffy looks back at your daughter “What’s her name?”
You hesitate, then answer quietly “Aiko.” (a/n: sorry another name from google but you can pretend it to be the one you prefer.)
The little girl beams “Aiko!”
Luffy smiles “That’s a nice name.”
Before you can answer, Dadan suddenly appears beside you.
She takes one look at your face, at your clenched jaw and at your tired eyes.
Then she sighs “Y/N.”
You look at her.
“Take Aiko inside.”
“Dadan…”
“Inside.”
You hesitate, then nod.
Aiko pouts immediately “Dad too!”
“Not now, sweetheart.”
“But…”
“Later.”
She crosses her arms “Mean mommy.”
You almost laugh despite yourself.
You adjust her on your hip and walk past Luffy, close enough to touch him, close enough to smell the sea on his clothes.
He watches you go, until the door closes behind you.
Silence falls over the mountain again.
Then Dadan turns toward him and her face is hard “Sit down.”
Luffy obeys for once.
Dadan crosses her arms “Y/N never hid it from the little one.”
Luffy looks up.
“She showed your daughter your wanted posters.”
Silence.
“Your photos in newspapers.”
Silence.
“Every time your name showed up somewhere, she kept it and showed it to her.”
Luffy lowers his eyes and Dadan continues “So Aiko knows everything about you.”
Her voice turns colder and sharper “But she’s too little to know how shitty you left her mom.”
Luffy goes still.
“Too little to understand why her mother cried herself to sleep.”
His hands tighten.
“Too little to understand why her mother spent two years raising a child alone while waiting for a pirate who seemed to never come back.”
Luffy says nothing. For the first time since ever… he has no words.
Dadan steps closer “And now you have the face to come back after two whole years.”
The mountain stays silent and inside the house a tiny voice echoes through the walls “Mom? When can dad come play?”
Luffy closes his eyes, because somehow… hearing that, hurts more than Dadan's anger ever could.
As the door closes softly behind you, for a few minutes, you stay inside… you just need a moment to breathe.
Aiko sits on the floor with one of Makino's old toys, humming happily to herself.
Every few seconds she looks toward the door “Dad outside?”
You close your eyes “Yeah.”
“Dad stay?”
Your fingers tighten around the cup in your hands “I don’t know, sweetheart.”
Aiko simply nods, as if that answer is enough for her and as if the idea of him leaving again doesn’t even exist in her little world.
Lucky her.
You finally decide to go.
The moment you step outside, Dadan notices and her eyes move between you and Luffy.
Then she stands “I’m going inside.”
Luffy looks up at her.
Dadan points a finger at him immediately “Don't say anything stupid.”
“Okay.”
“And don't run away this time.”
Luffy freezes.
Dadan clicks her tongue “Idiot.”
Then she disappears back inside the house, leaving the two of you alone.
The silence feels heavier now.
You sit where Dadan was sitting earlier.
You sigh, while all Luffy does is look down at his hands.
For once, he doesn’t know what to say, but then he finally talks “I'm sorry.”
You look at him but he doesn’t look back.
“I'm sorry I left… I didn't know.”
You stay silent.
“If I knew...” he stops when his voice shakes “If I knew you were pregnant, I would've come back sooner.”
Still silence.
“I would've stayed.”
He laughs weakly, but it's a sad laugh, which is really weird to hear from him.
“I would've wanted to see everything.”
His fingers curl into fists.
“Her first steps.”
He swallows.
“Her first words.”
Another pause.
“The first time she laughed.”
You look away, because hearing him say it hurts more than hearing him deny it ever could.
Luffy finally looks at you and you notice his eyes are red.
“I missed all of it.”
Your chest tightens “Luffy…”
“I wasn't there.”
His voice breaks and suddenly he cries. Big tears running down his face without him even trying to stop them.
“I was supposed to be there for you.”
You freeze, because yeah, Luffy cries, you know that, you saw him cry before… for Ace, for his crew and for the people he loves.
But this… this is pure regret.
“I was supposed to hold you… to hold her.”
Another tear falls.
“I was supposed to be here and fight with you for her first word to be mom or dad.”
His shoulders shake.
“I was supposed to help you in your waiting phase… that was supposed to be mine too.”
You don't know what to do or say.
Because you know he means it, Luffy doesn't lie.
But knowing he means it doesn't erase these two years.
It doesn't erase the nights you cried alone, the fear, the anger, the loneliness and the way your heart broke every time Aiko asked questions you couldn't answer.
You look down at your hands “Do you know how many times I hated you?”
Luffy goes quiet.
“Do you know how many times I wanted to throw away every newspaper with your face on it?”
He lowers his head.
“Do you know how hard it was every time she pointed at one and smiled?”
His fingers tighten “Y/N...”
“I waited.” your voice comes out smaller than you wanted “For months, I waited.”
You laugh softly… a bitter laugh “Then months became a year.”
Luffy says nothing.
“Then a year became two.”
Silence.
“And I hated myself because no matter how angry I got...” you stop and take a breath “...I still missed you.”
Luffy looks up immediately.
Your eyes meet “I hated that too.”
For a long moment neither of you speak, then Luffy wipes his face with his hand “You don't have to forgive me now.”
You blink “What?”
“Or tomorrow.” he looks toward the house “Or next week… But I want to stay.”
You stare at him “Stay?”
“Yeah.”
Simple.
“I want to know her.” his eyes move back to yours “And I want you to know I'm not leaving again.”
Your heart skips, because you want to believe him so bad, and that scares you.
You look away first “You can't expect everything to go back to normal.”
“I don't.”
“Things changed.”
“I know.”
“I'm still angry.”
“Okay.”
“Very angry.”
“Okay, it’s right.”
“I might stay angry for a while.”
Luffy nods “Then I’ll wait.”
You look at him, then suddenly the door bursts open.
“DAD!”
Aiko runs outside with tiny, unstable steps, straight toward Luffy, who panics instantly “AH! SHE'S RUNNING!”
“Of course she's running.”
“WHAT DO I DO?!”
“She's two, Luffy. Not a sea king.”
Aiko crashes directly into his legs, then raises both arms “Up!”
Luffy stares at her and then at you “Can I?”
The question catches you off guard but you nod slowly.
Luffy picks her up carefully.
Aiko immediately grabs his cheeks “Dad funny.”
Luffy laughs, a small laugh this time.
Then Aiko pokes his scar “Owie?”
“Nah.”
She smiles and then she hugs him, as if she has been doing it forever.
Luffy goes completely still and then his arms slowly wrap around her.
And for a moment… he cries again but quietly.
Holding the daughter he met only an hour ago, while mourning the two years he never got to have.
You let out a long sigh, the kind that feels heavy.
Luffy looks down at Aiko in his arms for a moment and then he looks back at you, and his expression changes again… softer this time, and sad in a different way.
Not only because of Aiko.
You realize it immediately.
He missed two years of her life, but he also missed two years of yours. Two years he was supposed to be part of.
Luffy adjusts Aiko carefully in his arms, then he says quietly “Thank you.”
You blink “For what?”
His eyes move to Aiko, then back to you “For her.”
Your expression softens a little despite yourself, then he continues “And for not hiding me from her all these years.”
You look away and before you can answer, Aiko suddenly grabs his cheek “Stretchy!”
His cheek stretches halfway across his face, far enough that Aiko gasps loudly “MOM LOOK!”
Luffy doesn’t even react, he just keeps looking at you while his daughter experiments with his face like he’s a new toy.
Honestly… it almost makes you laugh.
Aiko pulls more “More stretchy!”
Luffy laughs a little, and then his expression grows serious again “I thought I was protecting you.”
You freeze.
“But little did I know… I was the one hurting you the most.”
Something inside you snaps.
You stand up immediately, fast enough that Aiko jumps slightly.
You walk toward him.
Luffy looks up and for maybe the first time in his life, he looks surprised by your anger.
“Luffy...” your voice shakes from fury “Even if I wasn’t pregnant, that would have hurt.”
He stays silent.
“Did you think waking up with the love of your life gone and a letter with a few stupid words like ‘don’t worry, I’ll be okay’ wouldn’t hurt me?”
Luffy’s eyes widen.
Aiko looks between the two of you and concern slowly appears on her little face.
You notice immediately, so your shoulders lower slightly and your voice softens a little.
You look back at Luffy “I found out I was pregnant only a few days after you left.”
Luffy stops breathing.
“Stupid me even thought of a plan on how to tell you.”
You laugh once… a bitter laugh “I practiced it.”
Luffy lowers his head.
“I thought maybe I’d surprise you.” your fingers tighten around themselves “Then after months, I gave up. And after that...”
You swallow “I just didn’t know how to reach you without telling the whole world.”
Luffy says absolutely nothing. For once… there are no words.
Even Aiko understands something serious is happening and so she quietly stops playing with Luffy's cheek.
You continue “I told everything about you to Aiko because she deserves the truth.”
You look at your daughter “She knows she can't tell everyone.”
Aiko nods proudly “Secret.”
You smile a little “She's smart.”
Aiko nods harder “Very smart.”
Luffy almost smiles too.
Then Aiko suddenly reaches toward you “Mom.”
You hold out your arms automatically.
Luffy carefully gives her back to you.
She settles against your chest immediately, and then she turns back toward Luffy and points at him “Mom says love you.”
Silence.
Your eyes widen “Aiko!”
“Love you lots.” she nods confidently.
Dadan chooses that exact moment to step in. She snorts “I'm translating that for you, idiot.”
Luffy looks toward her.
Dadan crosses her arms “Y/N always talked about you to her as the love of her life.”
You immediately look away “Dadan…”
“Not one bad word about you.”
You close your eyes.
“Even after all these years she kept defending you every time one of us said something bad about you.”
Luffy slowly turns back toward you.
You don't confirm it, and you don't deny it either.
You simply look somewhere over his shoulder… anywhere but at him.
The silence stretches.
Then finally, you speak, but still looking away “Yeah… but that doesn't mean I'm not hurt… and it doesn't mean I forgive you.”
Luffy nods immediately “Okay.”
You turn to leave, but before you can take more than one step, a hand gently wraps around your wrist.
You look down at it and then at him.
Luffy lets go immediately when he sees your expression, but he doesn't look away “Thank you.”
You frown “You already said that.”
He shakes his head “No… I know I have no right to say this.”
Your breath catches.
“And I know it won't change things.”
He glances at Aiko, and then back at you “But...”
A pause, as if he needs courage for the first time in his life.
“You're also the love of my life, Y/N.”
Your heart stops.
Luffy continues quietly “I never thought differently of you.”
The mountain goes silent.
Only your heartbeat, painfully fast.
Because the worst part is that you still believe him completely.
Aiko looks between the two of you, then tilts her head “Mom crying?”
You hadn't even noticed, so only now your hand touches your cheek and feel it wet.
You wipe your eyes quickly “I'm not crying.”
Aiko gasps “Mom lying!”
Dadan bursts out laughing.
Luffy almost smiles.
Then Aiko points at you “Mom sad.”
Then she points at Luffy “Dad sad.”
Then she puts her tiny hands together “Need hug.”
All the adults there freeze.
Aiko frowns, clearly disappointed by your lack of intelligence “Family hug fixes sad.”
Dadan laughs even harder “Kid's smarter than all of you.”
You hide your face in Aiko's hair.
Luffy scratches the back of his neck.
Neither of you moves, but for the first time since he came back… the distance between you feels just a little smaller.
You look down at Aiko, her little hands are still pressed together hopefully, expecting the impossible solution only children believe in.
You wish life worked like that.
Your expression softens and then you brush some hair away from her face “Maybe another time, okay?”
Aiko pouts immediately… a very dramatic pout “But hugs fix sad.”
“Sometimes they do.”
“Then why not now?”
Because life is complicated, hearts are complicated… forgiveness is complicated.
Instead you just smile a little “Another time.”
Aiko huffs, then crosses her little arms “Fine.”
Luffy suddenly speaks, his voice sounds almost cautious “Another time?...”
You look at him… his eyes are wide and hopeful “You mean it???”
You accidentally gave him hope and maybe you did think of a second chance but it absolutely isn’t something you’re ready to admit out loud.
So instead you roll your eyes “I said maybe... dumb.”
Luffy laughs softly.
Aiko immediately joins him “Dumb!”
“Hey!”
Luffy laughs harder “See? She agrees with you!”
“That's not helping my case!” you try to stay annoyed, but seeing him laugh with her… makes something in your chest loosen.
Luffy notices your expression immediately and so, his grin grows “Damn.”
You raise an eyebrow “What?”
“Dadan really taught all of you how to talk, didn't she?”
The laugh reaches your throat before you can stop it.
Luffy notices immediately that since he arrived that you look… lighter.
And seeing that makes him happier than anything else today.
You quickly look away, trying to save what remains of your dignity “Don't get used to it.”
“Too late.”
“Luffy.”
“Y/N.”
“Stop smiling like that.”
“Like what?”
“Like an idiot.”
“That's just my face.”
Aiko gasps loudly and then proudly yells “Dumb idiot!”
You freeze “AIKO!”
Your daughter blinks innocently “What?”
“Where did you learn that?!”
Aiko points immediately at Dadan.
Dadan points at herself in offense “Me??”
“You absolutely taught her that!”
“I did no such thing!”
“Dadan!”
“Okay maybe once or twice!”
Luffy bursts out laughing, making Aiko start laughing too.
“Dumb idiot! Dumb idiot!”
“STOP ENCOURAGING HER!”
“I CAN'T HELP IT!”
You snort, loud enough that everyone hears it.
Luffy looks at you and finally, you genuinely smile.
Small but there.
Luffy's laughter slowly fades and his expression softens.
Aiko points excitedly “Mom smiling!”
You immediately wipe the expression away “No, I'm not.”
“Lying again!”
Dadan laughs “That kid sees everything.”
Luffy grins “She definitely got that from you.”
“Excuse me?”
“You always noticed everything too.”
Your heart skips and Luffy smiles softly “I missed your smile.”
The yard falls quiet and you look away immediately “You're making this really hard, you know that?”
Luffy scratches his cheek “Sorry.”
“No you're not.”
“No, not for that part.”
You roll your eyes but this time… the smile stays.
And sitting there between your daughter laughing, Dadan complaining in the background, and Luffy looking at you like he found something he thought he lost forever...
For the first time in two years… your home feels a little more complete, even if you aren’t ready to admit that yet.
Months later...
You’re inside Dadan’s house when you hear loud laughter.
Two voices mixing together until they almost sound the same.
You pause and smile, because they really do laugh the same way.
You step outside to reach them, and immediately both laughs stop.
Suspicious silence.
Luffy and Aiko stand a few meters away, frozen like two criminals caught during the act.
You narrow your eyes and they somehow look even more nervous.
Interesting.
“What did you two do?”
Aiko immediately looks at Luffy and Luffy immediately looks at Aiko.
Neither speaks.
You cross your arms “Luffy.”
“Hm?”
“Aiko.”
“Hm?”
“What did you do?”
Nothing.
Then your eyes move behind them and you spot a blanket, a basket, plates, glasses… a picnic.
Luffy scratches his cheek “We prepared a picnic for you...”
You look back at them “Then why do you both look so nervous?”
Silence.
“Luffy?”
“It’s not my fault.”
“Aiko?”
“Not mine too.”
“What happened?”
They both inhale, then suddenly speak at the same time.
“Dad ate everything!”
“Aiko ate everything!”
Both freeze and slowly turn toward each other.
“YOU SAID YOU WERE STILL HUNGRY!”
“YOU SAID ONE MORE WOULDN'T MATTER!”
“YOU ATE FOUR!”
“YOU ATE FIVE!”
You stare at them, then at the empty plates and back at them “You two prepared a picnic for me...”
They nod.
“And then ate everything without me?”
More guilty nodding.
Aiko hides slightly behind Luffy's leg “Sorry...”
Then she suddenly brightens up “Dad said he made a chef use Uncle Sanji’s recipte!”
Luffy immediately corrects her “Recipes.”
Aiko nods seriously “Recipesss.”
You sigh dramatically “Ugh... I missed Sanji’s cooking...”
Luffy winces “Sorry.”
“And now I can’t even try a copy of it...”
You pout, half acting and half not.
Honestly, you really do miss Sanji's cooking.
Aiko suddenly gasps “WAIT!”
You blink “What?”
“Dessert in fridge!” then she points proudly at herself “MINE!”
And immediately starts running toward Dadan's house.
Your eyes widen “AIKO!”
You take one step forward and suddenly stop when arms wrap around your waist and basically your entire body.
You look down… rubber arms.
“LUFFY!”
He grins then yells toward the running toddler “GO OR SHE'LL EAT IT!”
“TRAITOR!” you yell.
Aiko laughs loudly and keeps running “Mine mine mine mine!”
A few seconds later you hear Dadan shouting from inside the house “OI! DON'T RUN SO FAST!”
You can't help it and laugh.
Luffy smiles immediately at the sound, then one of his arms stretches toward the basket and comes back holding a small dessert.
Untouched.
He releases you and offers it to you “I saved this one for you.”
Your eyes widen “You did?”
He nods “Yeah.”
Your face lights up “Thank you.”
Luffy smiles and then his arm stretches again toward a bag beside the blanket.
When it comes back… it’s holding a small bouquet of wildflowers probably picked from all over the mountain.
Luffy rubs the back of his neck, suddenly nervous “Aiko and I picked some flowers for you.”
Your breath catches. You stare at the flowers and then at him.
Luffy starts looking worried because you aren’t speaking or smiling.
Meanwhile your heart is doing things that should probably be illegal.
“Y/N?... Did we pick bad flowers?”
You finally look up, his expression is so genuinely worried that it almost makes you laugh.
Instead you softly say “Luffy...”
“Yeah?”
You step closer, grab his shirt and pull just enough that your lips meet his.
Luffy freezes but then he steps closer.
One hand gently cups your cheek, while the other rests carefully against your waist.
When he kisses you back it’s soft and warm… familiar.
Then two gasps echo behind you, and you immediately pull away and turn.
Dadan stands there with one hand covering Aiko's eyes… very badly, because Aiko is clearly looking through Dadan's fingers.
“MOM AND DAD ARE KISSING!!”
You immediately feel your face heating up “AIKO!”
“I CAN STILL SEE!”
“THAT'S BECAUSE YOUR FINGERS ARE OPEN, DADAN!”
“OH.” Dadan closes them properly “There.”
“NOW I CAN'T SEE!”
“GOOD.”
You want to disappear, but then you hear Luffy laughing, and somehow… you relax.
Luffy suddenly wraps an arm around you again, completely trapping you “Luffy?”
Then he starts running, dragging you with him.
“DADAN, YOU BABYSIT TODAY, THANKS!!!” he yells while running.
“OI! GET BACK HERE, BRAT!”
“BYE GRANDMA!”
“I'M NOT A GRANDMA!”
“YOU ARE NOW!”
You protest “LUFFY!”
But you're laughing, so he keeps going.
Eventually you reach a quiet place overlooking the sea.
The water shines orange and gold.
Luffy finally lets go and you smile softly.
Then before you can say anything he kisses you again but quickly.
You kiss him back immediately and when you finally pull away, neither of you speaks for a while.
You simply sit together, watching the sea and the sunset.
Then Luffy takes your hand, like it is the most natural thing in the world.
You lean your head against his shoulder, and for the first time in a very long time… everything feels right.
—> So you guys know that luffy really doesn’t like people touching or holding his strawhat except you. I was searching for a fic like that but couldn’t find any; therefore, I decided to write one.
Established relationship, fem!reader (she/her), use of (name)
“Sanjiiiii! I’m hungry!” Luffy whined.
“Be patient!” Sanji yelled from the kitchen.
“I don’t wanna…” he groaned.
The heat was unbearable. After sitting with Nami and Robin for a while, you got up to grab some water. Your head was spinning. Without thinking, you grabbed the straw hat beside your boyfriend and placed it on your head. Almost instantly, relief washed over you.
“Oh, hi, (name)!” Luffy smiled. “You okay? You’re all red.”
“Yeah… the heat’s getting to me, baby.”
“I told Sanji to make cold drinks! We just gotta—”
He paused. His eyes locked onto the straw hat.
“Huh?”Everyone nearby froze.
“Luffy…” Usopp whispered nervously. But Luffy simply blinked.
“Oh! You took my hat!”
He walked over and touched your forehead.
“You’re really hot!” Before anyone could say anything, he grinned.
“Shishishi! Keep it on then! Don’t get sick, okay?”
Nami nearly dropped her drink.
“That’s it?!” Usopp shouted.
“What? She is my girlfriend!” Luffy said, as though it were the most obvious thing in the world.
“And besides…” he laughed, wrapping an arm around you, “my hat likes you too!”
ace, for one, can immediately tell that his little brother has a crush on you.
he was delighted to see his oaf of a younger brother (affectionately speaking, of course) managed to land a crew of respectable looking people. said crew managed to keep luffy on his toes and mostly well behaved, but ace saw that respect amongst the crew was mutual, there was a love there that only an idiot like luffy would be to find. he always had this god-like luck.
in fact, ace thinks luffy is especially lucky to have found someone like you. during his many years as a pirate, he's made it a habit of trying to analyse others and when his gaze fell on you and his brother he knew there was something...different there.
from what he could tell. you were incredibly patient. patient enough to allow his brother to cling to you like a baby monkey. luffy hadn't even hugged him after they'd reunited, yet you'd think it had been ages since he last saw you, the way he clung to you like you'd disappear.
"yn's super cool, huh, ace ?" luffy cheered, chin propped onto your shoulder and arm wrapped around it as well. you patted his arms, clearly embarrassed and trying to shrug his praise off.
luffy looked at you in confusion at your sudden silence. his face clearly way too close to you but still analysing your face like there was something to miss.
"luffy..."
"what ? you are ! they're duper smart i'm tellin' ya ! knew i wanted ya in my crew the moment i saw ya !" he laughed, roughly slapping your shoulder.
by that point, ace knew something was up.
"the captain speaks too highly of me," you chuckled "i'm really not that great..!"
"but you are."
"luffy ! shut up !" you hissed.
"s'true ! you won't stop me from saying it ! ace thinks you're cool, too. right, ace ?!" luffy turned to his brother for support, but ace was sure that even his opinion wouldn't deter him. stubborn as a mule, that one.
he was sure he'd almost phased out of luffy's mind by now, his mission now solely to convince you of how cool you were while you tried to stay humble.
at some point ace even became referee in the matter of if you were as amazing as luffy said you were or not, luffy being uncharacteristically serious about it. so much so that you ended up having to grab his cheeks to shut him up. in the end, ace ended up having to mediate what ended up being a fight for your honour...between luffy and you. the person in question.
his brother was always a clingy boy, he'd climb on ace's shoulders, which usually led to wrestling. but he was more affectionate with his crew and especially to you.
he'd do everything and anything to get your attention, pulling silly stunts during dinner time that unsurprisingly ended with him getting a whack on the head from the cook for playing with his food. but he seemed unfazed when you laughed at his antics, smiling bright and wide like the spot on his head wasn't already starting to swell.
(he won't even mention the way he almost choked on his food when he saw luffy share a piece of his meal with you..)
luffy was always around to show you something cool, to tell you about something he saw or something his crewmate, ussop, told him. ussop would exclaim that luffy was a joke thief, but again, nothing mattered to his baby brother so long as you smiled at him, it seemed.
ace saw how luffy's eyes searched for you and your reactions first and foremost. he could tell he loved his crew dearly, the boy had his heart on his sleeve and couldn't lie to save his life, but ace could tell. he could always tell when it was about luffy, you were different.
and ace, for all his worries, is reassured he's found himself a group that will follow him with faith. and someone like you, who managed to captivate his brother so, and allow ace to see something interesting before he had to leave his brother again. though luckily, not on his own. at least as long as you were around.
before his departure, ace pressed a hand to your shoulder, leaning in close to whisper softly in your ear. "i leave my little brother to you. you take care of him, yeah ?"
he leaned back and chuckled at your flabbergasted expression. luffy was quick to lean in, pressing his hand to your opposite shoulder to demand to know what ace told you. "oi, ace !! what'd you do to yn ?!"
ace smirked, sticking his tongue out "not tellin' !" he jeered.
it's childish, something he'd do when both him and luffy were still kids. but which older brother doesn't enjoy messing with their younger sibling once in a while. and by the pout on luffy's face, he still had it.
"you take care of each other, kay ?" ace teased. luffy blinked, face melting into a blank expression before he raised a brow.
"huh ? course i do !" he grinned, looking at you again "right, yn ? i take good care of you, right !"
ace could only sigh affectionately while your groans and the captain's cheers faded from his ears as he made his way.
he could immediately tell that luffy had a crush on you. regrettably, even before the boy himself had. ace prays you'll remain patient and allow him to connect the dots on his own time.
but he thinks it probably won't take his dense little brother long to figure it out...hopefully.
