Luffy always kept his straw hat close. Everyone knew that.
What no one knew was that he kept other things, too.
Tiny knickknacks tucked away inside a small wooden box.
To anyone else, they looked like nothing more than junk. Old trinkets with no purpose.
To him, they were pieces of you.
The first thing he reached for was a butterfly hair clip.
Gold, with tiny dangling charms that shimmered whenever they caught the light.
Luffy had never cared much about accessories, but he knew this one mattered. It has been your favorite ever since your grandmother gave it to you for your birthday. You wore it almost every day.
The moment he held it, the memory came rushing back.
Luffy, Ace, and Sabo were wandering through town, doing what they always did—running around, causing harmless trouble, and pretending they weren't being chased by annoyed shopkeepers.
Most people ignored them.
Until someone familiar spotted them.
"Luffy!"
Your voice rang through the street.
Luffy's head snapped up, his eyes widening with recognition.
"(Y/n)!"
Without a second thought, he launched himself at you.
The force knocked both of you flat onto the dirt road with a loud thud.
Luffy burst into laughter.
"Luffy!" Sabo scolded, grabbing him by the back of his shirt and hauling him off you. "You can't just tackle people!"
You simply laughed as you brushed the dust from your clothes.
"It's okay," you said. "I'm used to him."
"I'm really sorry about him," Sabo apologized.
You waved him off. "It's fine."
As Luffy climbed back to his feet, something shiny caught his attention.
His eyes locked onto the butterfly clip nestled in your hair.
"Whoa..."
He pointed at it."That's pretty."
You smiled, your fingers brushing over the golden butterfly.
"Thanks. My grandma gave it to me."
The clip glittered in the sunlight.
Luffy couldn't stop staring.
"Oh!" he suddenly exclaimed, remembering something important."You've never met my brothers!"
He proudly pointed between the two boys.
"This is Ace! And this is Sabo!"
Ace sighed."Idiot. We're not your real brothers."
You looked between them before smiling knowingly.
"I understand."
Your eyes lingered on Sabo for just a moment.
You recognized him immediately. It was hard not to, he came from one of the wealthiest noble families around.
Judging by the brief look of surprise on his face, he recognized you, too.
"They may not be your brothers by blood," you said, "but they're your brothers by choice."
Ace raised an eyebrow.
"Huh." He looked you up and down. "You talk fancy."
You opened your mouth to explain until you heard your name.
"(Y/n)!"
Your mother's voice echoed through the street.
You sighed."I have to go."
You gave each of the boys a quick wave.
"It was nice meeting you."
Ace and Sabo returned the gesture.
Luffy barely noticed.
His eyes remained fixed on the butterfly clip sparkling in your hair.
Neither of you knew that one day, he would keep it as one of his most treasured memories.
"So..." Ace smirked. "When were you planning on telling us about that fancy girl?"
Luffy gently placed the butterfly clip back into the wooden box before closing the lid.
Inside were the rest of the things he'd kept over the years.
The book you'd given him.
Little odds and ends that reminded him of you.
Nothing valuable.
Everything priceless.
The Thousand Sunny was approaching another island, and excitement buzzed through the crew.
Luffy was practically vibrating.
"Don't disappear the second we dock," Nami warned.
"I won't!" he replied instantly.
She gave him a skeptical look.
"...You absolutely will."
Still, she decided to go with him.
Lately, she'd found herself wanting to stay close to him whenever they visited new islands.
Partly because someone had to keep him from spending all their money.
Mostly because she couldn't stop wondering about the mysterious person whose name was in the book she'd been reading aloud.
Money pouch in hand, Nami hurried after Luffy as he raced through the bustling streets.
"Slow down!" she called.
To her surprise, he actually did.
Luffy stopped so suddenly that she nearly walked into him.
His entire body had gone still.
"(Y/n)?"
Your name escaped him so softly it was almost a prayer.
Nami froze. That name again. She followed his gaze into the sea of strangers filling the marketplace.
There were too many people. She couldn't tell who he was looking at.
Luffy didn't hesitate.
He pushed through the crowd.
"(Y/n)!"
People stumbled aside as he squeezed between them.
"There!"
He grabbed someone's shoulder.
The stranger turned.
It wasn't you.
Luffy stared for a long moment.
"...You're not (Y/n)."
The words barely left his mouth.
The hope that had brightened his face disappeared just as quickly.
He searched the crowd again.
Left.
Right.
Every face.
Nothing.
It was as if you'd never been there at all.
"Luffy?"
Nami's voice pulled him back.
He quickly rubbed at his eyes before turning toward her with his usual grin.
"Shishishi... sorry about that."
"Did you see them?"
Luffy blinked.
"See who?"
"(Y/n)."
For just a second, his smile faltered.
"No."
He scratched the back of his head.
"I just thought I did."
Nami's expression softened.
She didn't say anything.She didn't need to.
Luffy could tell she pitied him. He ignored it.
Even if you hadn't really been there,something inside him insisted you were close.
Maybe it was wishful thinking.
Maybe it was because you had been on his mind more than usual.
Or maybe, it was because everywhere he looked, he found little reminders of you.
Sanji had started making your favorite snacks one afternoon without ever knowing they were your favorites.
It was only a coincidence.
Luffy knew that.
But he chose to believe otherwise. Because believing made it easier to keep hoping.
And hope was enough.
One day, somewhere on the Grand Line, the two of you would meet again.

The warm whiskey slid down his throat as Nanami took another slow sip.
"Honey, don't you think you've had enough?"
A hand settled gently on his shoulder, warmth seeping through the fabric of his shirt.
With a quiet sigh, he glanced over his shoulder.
There you were.
His beautiful wife smiled down at him. There was no disappointment in your expression, no anger, only concern. You were worried about him.
He didn't speak.
Instead, he memorized you as though this would be the last time he'd ever see your face. The warmth in your eyes. The way your hair framed your features. The soft curve of your lips as they lifted into a gentle smile.
You exhaled softly, your hand leaving his shoulder to cup his cheek.
Instinctively, he leaned into your touch.
His own hand rose to cover yours, holding it there.
God, how he longed for your touch.
"You're going to drink yourself to death if you don't stop."
His heart lurched painfully at your words.
His fingers tightened around your hand, desperate to keep you from slipping away.
"I'm right here, Ken."
Your free hand rested over his chest, directly above his heart.
"Yes," he whispered, savoring the warmth of your touch. "You are."
"That's right." Your voice was barely above a whisper, gentle and pleading. "So please... put the drink down, and let's go home."
Home.
His eyes drifted shut. Yes. Home. Nothing sounded sweeter than going home with you, holding you in his arms, falling asleep beside you, waking to your smile.
"Nanami."
His eyes snapped open.
It wasn't your voice.
It was deeper.
Gojo stood in front of him instead, his hands hanging helplessly at his sides.
Nanami froze.
One of his own hands rested against his cheek.
The other lay over his heart.
Exactly where yours had been.
His untouched glass of whiskey sat on the bar beside him.
"What did you say?" he asked, his voice rough with exhaustion.
Gojo frowned.
Seeing his friend like this hurt more than he cared to admit. He knew, perhaps better than anyone, what it meant to lose someone you loved.
"It's time to go home," Gojo repeated quietly.
Home… right. Without you.
"No."
Nanami turned back toward the bar, reaching for his drink.
How pathetic he must have looked, clinging to himself, pretending your touch was still there.
"Nanami, come on." Gojo picked up the whiskey before he could reach it and set it well out of his grasp. "You know this isn't what she would've wanted."
Something hot flared in Nanami's chest.
"And what would you know?" he snapped.
Gojo's brows drew together.
"She was my sister!"
Silence settled between them.
Of course.
You were his sister.
Nanami had become so consumed by his own grief that, for a fleeting moment, he'd forgotten.
Gojo was mourning too.
He couldn't begin to imagine how unbearable it must have been for him, to lose the sister he'd grown up with.
"She loved you," Gojo said quietly. "Everything she did was for you, Nanami. And now you want to throw all of that away..." His eyes flickered toward the abandoned glass. "...for this?"
Nanami swallowed hard.
"I'm sorry."
The apology came out barely louder than a breath.
His gaze drifted to the mirror behind the bar.
The man staring back at him was hollow.
Exhausted.
Broken.
A stranger.
This wasn't the man you'd married.
Nanami bowed his head, burying his face in his hands as a shaky breath escaped him.
"I miss her."
The confession cracked something open inside him. His lips trembled. Tears blurred his vision before spilling over.
Gojo stepped closer and rested a hand on his shoulder.
"I know," he said softly. "Me too." His voice caught.
"But... we'll get through this."
Nanami closed his eyes.
For the first time since you'd been gone, he let himself cry.
Title: What You Deserve ~ Sanji x f!reader
genre: comfort/fluff
warnings: not really proof read. use of y/n. reading being mentioned as female. sanji may be a bit ooc.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You had no idea how this was going to work.
You were fairly certain Sanji wasn't your biggest fan. So why in the world had he agreed to this? There were other women on the crew who would've made far more convincing partners than the two of you.
Sanji was always fawning over Nami and Robin, making sure they were comfortable, showering them with compliments, and doing just about anything to earn their attention, no matter how ridiculous he looked.
But when it comes to you...
He always seemed distant.
He never lavished you with compliments. Conversations between you rarely lasted long before an awkward silence settled in. Half the time, it felt like he was actively avoiding you.
That's why you had hoped either Nami or Robin would go undercover with him instead.
Unfortunately, Nami had outright refused.
Robin, on the other hand, had simply smiled that mysterious smile of hers.
"I think you'd be a much better fit."
The knowing look she'd given you still didn't make any sense.
So now you stood in front of the mirror in the hotel room you were sharing with Sanji, smoothing out the last wrinkles in your outfit and trying to look presentable.
Sanji was out on the balcony having one last cigarette before the mission.
He hadn't spoken much since you'd arrived.
Not that he'd been rude.
Quite the opposite.
He'd opened every door for you, insisted on carrying anything heavy, and treated you with perfect gentlemanly manners.
But somehow… It all felt rehearsed.
Like he was doing it because he thought he should, not because he wanted to.
You adjusted your hair one last time.
Just then, the balcony door slid open.
You hadn't heard him come inside.
When you glanced toward the mirror, your eyes met his.
Sanji had stopped dead in his tracks.
His gaze lingered on you, wide with surprise.
The moment he realized you'd noticed, he turned away with a cough that fooled absolutely no one.
A rosy blush spread across his cheeks.
"You look..." he murmured. "...Beautiful."
Despite how softly he'd spoken, you heard every word.
Heat bloomed across your own face.
"Thank you."
Silence settled between you once more.
Eventually, Sanji cleared his throat.
"We should get going."
"Right."
You stood from the vanity and walked toward him.
"We wouldn't want to miss anything important."
As always, he opened the door for you.
"I'm thinking I'll mingle with the guests," you said as you walked down the hallway. "You talk to the staff. We should cover more ground that way."
"Sounds brilliant, my love."
A smile tugged at your lips.
Before you could point out that there was no need to stay in character yet, Sanji gently took your hand.
The elevator doors opened before you could say a word.
A couple stepped inside with you.
Ah, that's why.
Sanji kept your hand in his as though it were the most natural thing in the world.
If only he knew what it was doing to your heart.
Sanji wanted to say more. He wanted to tell you that you were breathtaking. That no one else in the room could possibly compare. That every time you smiled, he forgot how to breathe.
But every compliment died in his throat before it ever reached his lips.
He'd been rejected by hundreds of women.
He could laugh those off.
But if you rejected him...
He wasn't sure his heart would recover.
When the elevator doors opened, your fingers slowly slipped from his.
"I'll go mingle," you said.
You'd barely taken two steps before he caught your hand again.
You turned, following his arm until your eyes met his.
There was something conflicted between them.
"Is something wrong?"
He hesitated.
"...Just be careful."
A small laugh escaped you.
Covering his hand with your own, you gave it a reassuring squeeze.
"You don't have to worry about me, Sanji."
"I know."
His smile was soft.
"I know you can take care of yourself."
His thumb brushed lightly across your knuckles.
"I still worry anyway."
Your heart skipped.
Not painfully. Warmly.
The kind of warmth that settled deep inside your chest, "thank you."
You reluctantly let go.
"We should get started."
"Meet back here in a couple of hours?" he asked.
You glanced toward the bar.
"Sounds good."
His smile became just a little brighter.
"I'll be looking forward to it."
You laughed, "I'm holding you to that."
Hours passed.
Talking to wealthy socialites was every bit as exhausting as you'd imagined.
Fortunately, they loved gossip.
By the time you'd gathered everything you needed, your social battery had completely drained.
You made your way to the bar and ordered a glass of wine while you waited for Sanji.
It wasn't long before someone approached from behind.
Smiling, you turned on your stool.
"Took you long enough-"
The words died on your tongue.
It wasn't Sanji.
Instead, a man with slicked-back dark hair and far too much hair gel grinned at you.
"You've been waiting for me?" he asked, flashing a crooked smile full of yellowed teeth.
"Oh." You forced a polite smile.
"Sorry. I thought you were someone else."
Unfortunately, he didn't take the hint.
He slid onto the stool beside you.
"So," he drawled, "what's a pretty little thing like you doing here all alone?"
"I'm not alone."
"I'm here with someone."
He looked around theatrically.
"Funny, I don't see anyone."
"They'll be here soon."
You picked up your wine, "so I'd appreciate it if you left."
He scoffed,"you women always have an excuse."
Before you could react, his hand landed on your thigh.
Your wine glass slammed against the counter.
The bartender jumped.
You stared at the man's hand in disbelief. "Excuse me?"
His grin only widened.
"I suggest you remove your hand."
"And if I don't?"
"You'll lose it."
"I like a challenge."
Before you could make good on your threat,someone grabbed his wrist.
"What the hell?!"
You turned around to see who it was.
Sanji.
His expression was unlike anything you'd ever seen. His jaw was tight, his brows furrowed. There wasn't a hint of his usual playful smile.
"The lady already told you no."
The man laughed. "And who are you?"
Sanji's gaze never left him.
"Her boyfriend."
A heartbeat passed.
"Now back off."
With one swift kick, Sanji knocked the chair out from beneath him.
The man crashed onto the floor with a loud yelp.
His nose hit first.
Blood immediately poured onto the carpet.
Around the room, heads turned.
"...Oh no."
You quickly placed enough beri on the counter to cover your drink.
"Come on, Sanji."
He slipped an arm around your waist without hesitation.
Looking down at the groaning man, his voice was cold.
"You should learn to respect women."
Then he guided you out of the ballroom.
The moment the hotel room door clicked shut behind you...
You burst into laughter.
The adrenaline finally caught up with you.
Sanji simply stared.
He was still furious. Not with you. Never with you. With that man. How dare he put his hands on you?
"Why are you laughing?"
His voice was sharper than usual, "he treated you with absolutely no respect."
Your laughter faded.
"I don't care if he respects me. He means nothing to me.”
"You should care."
You tilted your head.
"Why?"
"Because..." His voice softened, “you deserve better than that."
You folded your arms."Oh? And what exactly do I deserve?"
The words were there.
He could feel them. You deserve the world. You deserve kindness. You deserve someone who loves you more than anything. But none of them would come out.
You let out a disappointed scoff.
"That's what I thought."
You brushed past him.
He couldn't let you leave. Not again. His hand wrapped gently around your wrist.
You turned, ready to protest. Then you saw his face.
"I..."
That single word held everything he couldn't say.
Frustration. Fear. Hope.
You sighed.
"What is it, Sanji?"
Your voice was quieter now.
"Why is it that whenever I'm around, you can barely talk to me? You flirt with everyone else, but with me… you keep your distance."
Your eyes searched his.
"Did I do something wrong?"
His heart broke.
"No." His answer came immediately, "never. You could never do anything wrong."
"Then what is it?"
Your voice barely rose above a whisper.
"Because from where I'm standing...it feels like you don't even like me."
His grip loosened.
He looked at you as though he couldn't believe you'd ever thought that.
"It's the exact opposite."
You blinked.
"What do you mean?"
He stepped closer.
So close that your hand instinctively rested against his chest to steady yourself.
His heartbeat pounded beneath your palm. Fast,completely out of control.
"(Y/N)..."
His voice trembled. "I don't know how to act around you. You deserve more than empty flirting. You deserve sincerity. You deserve someone who means every word they say."
He swallowed hard.
"And I don't know how to show you that."
You searched his eyes.
"Why would you want to?"
A shaky laugh escaped him.
"Because...I love you."
His voice was barely audible.
"I've loved you for a long time.I know it's selfish to hope you might feel the same, and I don't expect-"
You cut him off.
Standing on your toes, you pressed your lips against his.
Sanji froze.
His brain completely stopped working.
When you finally pulled away, he was staring at you with wide blue eyes.
His face had turned an impressive shade of crimson.
"Did you just kiss me?"
You laughed.
"That's usually what it's called."
His grin slowly spread across his face.
"So..."
He leaned closer.
"Can I have a redo?"
You smiled up at him.
"You can have as many redos as you want."
His forehead rested against yours.
"I'm the luckiest man alive."
Then, with far more confidence than before, he kissed you again.
Gojo:
When your friend told you to do this prank on Gojo, you knew that he was going to be so dramatic.
Of course, you had to start off small hoping that Gojo wouldn’t notice it. But of course he did.
It started when you first woke up. The first thing that Gojo does is give you a morning kiss.
However, as he started to lean in, you put your hand on his chest to stop him.
“Morning breath.” You simply say as you roll out of bed to head into the restroom.
Gojo brushed this off. He was a little confused by it since he usually doesn’t care about morning breath. He would literally kiss you in any state.
With a small pout, he rolls out of bed to follow you into the restroom. He watched you brush your teeth, wash your face, the normal morning routine.
When you are finished, he leans in for another kiss but you back away.
“We’re running late. I’m going to make breakfast really quick.” You dash out the restroom, not wanting to see the pout on Gojo’s face. You know if you took one good look on his face, you would cave in.
All morning you gave excuses. When it was time to leave Gojo was basically sulking in a corner. Maybe you would give him a goodbye kiss? Nope.
As soon as you left the house you got a text(s) from your phone.
Do you not love me anymore??What did I do wrong?? You didn’t give my morning kissesI’m dying here baby
You roll your eyes with a big grin on your face. You knew that he couldn’t go long without saying anything.
You turn back around to head into the house, knowing that Gojo physically cannot go all day without a kiss.
As soon as the door opened, Gojo perked up like an excited dog who hadn't seen their owner all day.
“I’m sorry baby. It was just a prank.” You tell him.
Gojo’s eyebrows furrow. “I didn’t like that prank.”
You giggle, “I know baby.” You wrap your arms around his neck and stand on your tiptoes planting a small peck on his pouty lips.
“There’s your good morning kiss.” Another kiss. “Your getting ready kiss.” Another kiss. “Your breakfast kiss.” Another kiss. “And your goodbye kiss.”
You were about to step back from him, but he only grabbed onto your hips pulling you back into him.
“I think you owe me a lot more now for that cruel prank.”
You let out a small giggle, “of course I do.”
Geto:
You had seen this trend circulating for awhile on the internet and you wanted to see how your boyfriend would react.
So you sat on the couch, reading a book, waiting for Geto to come home.
When he did, you didn’t even bother to look up from the book. Geto did not find this unusual. He just brushed it off as you were engrossed with the book.
However, as he sat on the couch and leaned in for a small kiss he was very surprised to see you move away from him.
You pushed against his chest with a, “not right now, Sugu.”
Okay… you’re really engrossed with this book. Suguru really tried not to let him bother him too much.
However, he had a long day, and all he wanted was to kiss you. Surely, you can spare a few seconds to give him a little attention.
From the corner of your peripheral vision, you can see the cogs turning in Geto’s head. He looks so in thought, that you had to hold back a snicker.
“(y/n).” you heard Geto’s voice say in all seriousness. You pursed your lips to hold back a smile.
You pretended to let out an annoyed sigh, to get on his nerves more. You set down the book and finally looked at him.
You could tell that you were already getting on his nerves.
“Do you need something?”
“You’re forgetting something.”
You looked at him confused, “Did I? I don’t recall.”
“Let’s think real hard.”
“Okay… still nothing.”
Geto gave you an exasperated look.
“What happened a couple minutes ago?”
“You came home?”
Geto just stares at you and a smile breaks out on your face. “Oh, right. Welcome home Geto.”
You turn your attention back to your book, knowing full well that was probably his last straw.
You heard him mutter some words, “fine. Be that way. I won’t give you any kisses either.”
You gasp, shutting your book shut, “You don’t have to take it that far!”
“So you admit withholding from me?!”
“It was just a prank!”
“A pretty stupid prank.”
“And you didn’t have to be so sassy the whole time.”
“Tch,” Geto clicks his tongue, “whatever.”
“Oh my gosh,” who knew that your boyfriend could be so sassy?
You place your book to the side and scoot closer to him. You then placed a small kiss on his pouted lips. “Better?”
“I need a lot more to make up for the stupid prank.”
Nanami:
Nanami is a respectful man, who will definitely respect any of your wishes… to a certain extent. He thought he was able to do anything for you. But when you suddenly decided to withhold kisses… well his patience was wearing thin.
It was the end of the day, and for some god forsaken reason, you dodged all his kisses today. Nanami was making dinner and you were finishing up some chores. Nanami insisted on doing them for you, hoping that it would better your mood.
However, you didn’t seem upset in the slightest. Just not… acting how you normally do. Just not giving him the usual affection.
With a sigh, he places down the wooden spoon and turns to you.
“Darling, can you tell me what’s wrong?”
His sudden question startles you. You straighten your back and put on your best natural face.
“What do you mean?”
“You’ve been off.”
“How so?”
Nanami coughs a little bit and you can see the tip of his ears turning pink. You knew exactly what he was thinking about and seeing him get a bit flustered was a win for you.
“You haven’t given me a single kiss all day.”
“Awe, you could’ve just asked for one.”
“I wanted to be respectful. You didn’t really seem in the mood for one.”
You couldn’t hold it in anymore, and you let out a string of giggles. Nanami’s eyebrows furrow in confusion.
“What’s funny?”
“I’m sorry, babe. It was a prank.”
Nanami lets out a sigh and walks over to you. He pulls you in by the hips, pulling you flush against him.
“You know how I feel about your pranks, darling.”
“I know, I know. I just couldn’t resist it.”
Nanami simply rolls his eyes, and leans down to steal a kiss from you. Finally putting his mind at ease.
Toji:
When you saw this trend, you had to try it on Toji. However, you did not expect him to be… well you didn’t really know what to expect from this man.
You were cooking breakfast since you woke up earlier than him. He comes strolling into the kitchen, no shirt on as usual, and tries to lean down to give you a quick kiss before grabbing a glass of water.
However, his routine is ruined when you dodge his kiss.
Toji scoffs, “what am I? Some common whore now?”
You let out a small gasp, “what? Who said that?”
“You did.”
“When?”
“Just now.”
“I didn’t say anything. In fact, these are the first words we’re speaking to each other.”
Toji just gives you a look.
“Oh, so me not giving a kiss first thing in the morning is the equivalent of calling you a whore?”
“A common whore.”
“Sorry, I didn’t know there was a difference.”
“A whore would at least get a kiss. Common whores… treated like trash.”
You squint your eyes at him, “you sure know a lot about whores.”
Toji could feel the aggravation coming off of you and decides to change the subject.
“Then why did you dodge my kiss?”
“Ever thought it could be morning breath?”
“Nah, you don’t care about that.”
“You’re disgusting.”
“You didn’t say that last night when I-”
“Ew! Shut up. It was just supposed to be a prank, but then you had to be gross!”
You place the spatula down, marching up to him and placing a short but firm kiss on his lips.
“There, now you can shut up.”
Before you could walk away, he grabs you by the wrist to pull you back in.
“I think I need more as an apology for the cruel prank.”
You roll his eyes at his sarcasm.
Sukuna:
You were honestly scared to do this prank on Sukuna. You had no idea how he would react. Just in case, you wrote your final wills. (just kidding, just kidding).
Behind doors, Sukuna could be a clingy man. He always demanded your attention.
He currently had you sitting on his lap, just tracing the dark tattoos on his arms.
One of his hands grabs ahold of your chin so that you could look at him. You already knew what he wanted. You don’t think you could just straight up dodge his kiss so you came up with the best next thing.
“Do you think it’s almost lunch time? I am starving.”
An annoyed look crosses his face, “I don’t think that matters.”
“Well it matters to me. Some of us actually need to eat real food.”
With a sigh Sukuna calls for Uruame to get you lunch.
You thank him, resting your head on his chest. You could feel Sukuna’s finger tapping on your thigh, a tell sign that you were already chipping away at his patience.
“Brat.”
“Hmm?”
Before he could get another word out, Uruame came back in with your requested lunch.
“Ah, perfect.” This time, you shimmy yourself out of Sukuna’s lap to grab your lunch from them.
“Thank you!” You told them, before sitting across from Sukuna this time.
You hear Sukuna to dismiss them and it’s just the two of you again.
“Don’t you have stuff to attend to today?” You ask him in between bites.
“Yes, I do.”
“Have a meeting with the villagers, right?”
“Yes, why do you ask?”
“Just wondering why you’re here and not attending that.”
Sukuna scoffs, “as if I need a reason. They wait for me.”
You're halfway through your lunch, and Sukuna swears you’re taking your sweet time finishing your lunch. He knows not to mess with you while you’re eating. The first time he did… Well, it was his last time.
“Can you hurry up?”
“What? I’m really savoring this meal. It’s really good today.”
“Are you avoiding something?”
“What makes you ask that?”
“Don’t test my patience, brat.”
You blink at him a couple times before going back to your meal.
“God damnit woman, just give me my kiss already.”
A small smile made its way to your lips, but it was still seen by Sukuna. And that was all he needed to know.
“Ah, I see now. It’s one of your ‘pranks’. I thought you learned your lesson from last time.”
Your cheeks flushed from your last ‘lesson’.
“No, I did.”
Sukuna just grins at you, all teeth showing. And right there you knew that you were in for it.
“Don’t worry. I’ll remind you just in case.” He says while getting up. His tall stature now stands over you. His hand comes down to pat the top of your head.
“I’ll be back. I have those meetings I need to attend.” You could hear the teasing tone in his voice. You hated when he did this, because now you would have to wait in anticipation.
Yuji:
Poor Yuji. He is such a sweet boy, and to be honest you don’t know if you even had the heart to avoid his kisses.
Yuji can’t go an hour without giving you or receiving a kiss himself.
So when he leaned down to give you a quick kiss on the lips before leaving class, you quickly dodged him.
“I’ll see you later!” You sped walk off before Yuji could even stop you. He blinked a couple times, staring at the space where you have been.
“What just happened?” He asks himself.
He finally snaps out of it and looks up. You were just rounding the corner, not even sparing a second glance at him.
He didn’t waste a single second, running to catch up with you.
“Um, excuse me.” He says once he’s able to catch up to you. His hands were on your shoulders, effectively stopping you.
You shrug off his hands, turning around with a small smile on his face.
“Yuji, aren’t you supposed to be heading to class.”
“Yeah, but we forgot something.”
“Mm,” You pretend to think about it. You look on your shoulder, yup, your bag was there.
“No, I think we have everything.”
Yuji pouts, giving you a puppy eye look. One that caused your heart to ache, and you had to bite your bottom lip.
“Not that…”
“Well, I really don’t know.” You continue to play confused and Yuji caves in a little
“Are you mad at me?” He asks and you have never seen him look so down.
You couldn’t do it anymore.
“No baby, I’m not mad. I’m sorry. It was just a silly prank.”
“What was?”
“You know… not giving you a kiss. Like usual?”
“I don’t see how that’s a prank. That’s just being mean.”
Oh you were done for.
“Awe, Yuji, baby. I’m so sorry.”
You lean up, cupping his face with both of your hands. You then placed a kiss on his pouted lips, hoping it would lift his mood just a bit.
When you pulled back, the pout was still evident on his face.
“You’re going to be late.” You whisper.
“Well I need more.”
“More kisses?”
He just nods his head.
You let out a laugh while shaking your head, “anything.”
And just like that, Yuji’s pout was wiped off his face and he was smiling again.
Note to self, don’t pull any mean pranks on Yuji.
Megumi:
Deep down Megumi was a softie. And there is nothing more than he wanted was your kisses. So when the day came that you dodged his kiss. Well, it felt like the world was ending for him.
He racked his brain for ideas of what he could’ve done to make you upset.
He sat on the couch, chin resting on his hand.
When you looked at him, he kind of resembled ‘The Thinker’ statue.
It was quite a funny sight honestly.
“Are you okay, Gumi?”
He breaks out of his trance and looks at you.
“Come here.” Is all he says.
You sit next to him, and he looks deep into your eyes. It’s quiet for a while and you wonder what he’s going to do next.
“Is this a prank?” He finally asks, and you look at him confused.
“What do you mean?”
“Well, you dodged my kiss earlier. It got me thinking about what I might have done to upset you. Nothing. Next best conclusion is that this is a prank.”
You could tell that he was not amused by this. But did you care? No.
You scoff, “what if I am mad?”
A small tug pulls on the corner of his lip, “you’d make a bigger scene.”
You let out a small gasp, “I do not make a scene.”
Megumi gives you a knowing look, “I’ve known you for a long time.”
“Ugh, you’re no fun.” You mutter and you cross your arms.
Megumi rolls his eyes, not letting your words get to him. Instead, he grabs you by the arm to pull you closer and place a kiss on your pouty lips.
“Better?” He asks.
“It wasn’t supposed to go like that.” You mumble and he just shakes his head.
“Don’t play stupid pranks then.”
Toge:
Honestly, doing this prank on him was pretty easy. You live to rage bait him.
Toge has a routine. After eating dinner, he would hop onto the game and play for an hour. However, before that, he would give you a kiss.
This time it was different. When he leans down to give you a kiss, you simply dodged his kiss.
His eyebrows furrow as he tries again. This time, you push against his chin, stopping him from kissing you.
“Benito flakes.”
“No.” You respond.
Toge crosses his arms and he gives you a look.
“No need to be sassy.”
“Salmon roe.”
“Tuna mayo.. Cod roe.”
You furrow your eyebrows at him.
“You wouldn’t.”
He just nods his head.
“Mmm,” You tap your finger on your chin, “ask nicely.”
He was silent for a few seconds, and you can tell that you were getting on his nerves.
“Salmon.”
Without missing a beat, “no.” You respond and he eyes widened.
“Spicy cod roe!”
You gasp at him, “you watch your language!”
“Bonito Flakes.”
“Well now I’m definitely not giving you a kiss.”
It was now a silent stare off. Until you broke out into laughter.
“Mustard leaf?”
“Yeah. I’m just messing with you. I like to see you riled up.”
Toge’s cheeks are a dusty pink when you tell him this.
You quickly lean over, place a small kiss on his lips, deepening his blush even more.
“You’re cute.” You whisper as you walk away from him.
IMAGINE: THE SOULMATE TATTOO - LAW X READER
GENRE: FLUFF
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Out of everything that exists in this world, the one thing that you refused to believe is that the universe has a system set up to know who your soulmate is.
They didn’t want to make it too easy, though. No. Instead, everyone has a matching tattoo. You’re simply born with the tattoo, hoping that one day you will run into a fated person called your soulmate. Of course, every single one was unique.
However, you found flaws in this. Flaws that you had unfortunately run into.
Coby, the man you thought was your soulmate. He had the same tattoo as you. And you knew that your soulmate tattoo was quite unique. Placed on the back of your neck, it was something that looked similar to a smiley face/skull, and was not noticeable unless you pulled your hair up.
Coby was a good man, a Marine. Someone who followed the law and made sure that everyone received justice equally. He wasn’t high in rank, but he was a hard worker, so he believed he would climb the ranks soon.
He showed you that he had the same right on his shoulder. At first, you really didn’t get along with Coby. But he was your soulmate, so you kinda forced yourself to like him. You convinced yourself that the feelings would soon blossom as you got to know him more.
You would have never thought of him lying about the soulmate tattoo. He was a marine for crying out loud. Why would he lie about that? He had a strong sense of justice, so it wouldn’t make sense for him to lie about this.
It wasn’t until one night. A night when you decided to give yourself to Coby. In Coby’s words, this was an act of true and pure love. Like this was the only way to show him that you truly loved him. You weren’t going to argue about it, though.
When his pants slipped off, your eyes caught sight of a small tattoo. Right on his thigh. It was a peculiar spot. On top of that, it was a unique tattoo. A small trumpet with flowers wrapped around it. Not something you see in your everyday tattoo shop.
“What is that?” You ask, backing away from him.
“Oh,” Coby nervously laughs, rubbing the back of his neck. “It’s just a small tattoo that I got a long time ago. I got drunk with a couple buddies. I kinda regret it now.” Coby laughs it off, but you knew something wasn’t right.
“That’s your soulmate tattoo, isn’t it?” You ask, and Coby goes into complete silence.
That was all you needed to hear. You didn’t need to hear a verbal answer.
“Oh my god…” You whisper to yourself as your hand clutches your stomach. You were starting to feel nauseous about the whole thing.
“How.. Why do you have my tattoo then?”
Coby didn’t answer you, but you could tell from his body language. The way his body went rigid, like he was about to go into fight mode. The way his jaw was tense, his eyes hardened when looking at you. He did so much and wasn’t about to lose it all.
“Have you been stalking me?” You ask. You didn’t want to believe it to be true, but it was honestly the only explanation.
The constant feeling of being watched, the little things that were disappearing. Nothing big, just small enough to cause a small annoyance.
Coby steps closer to you, causing you to take a step back.
“Don’t be ridiculous, (y/n). Don’t you hear yourself?”
Your eyes widen, “you’re fucking crazy!”
That seemed to set him off. He lunges at you, knocking you down to the ground. The air was successfully knocked out of your lungs. Your lungs burn as you try to get any sort of air to enter your lungs.
Coby pins you down, limiting your movement. In an instant, his hands wrapped around your throat. Hard. Hard enough to cut off your air supply.
“Why did you have to fucking speak?! God damn it! Don’t you know how hard I worked. I made sure that I did everything right. You’re mine. Not any one else. Do you hear me!?”
No, not really. You could barely hear him over the sound of your own heartbeat. You were trying to catch your breath from the fall, but it proved to be impossible with him closing your airway. Your legs were flaying around, kicking him, trying anything to loosen his grip on you. Or get him off of you.
Your eyes glanced to the side. Noticing that the bottle of wine that was previously on the table had fallen to the floor.
Sigh, what a waste of good wine.
With a shaky but quick hand, you grab the neck of the bottle, swinging it to hit his head. It wasn’t hard enough to break the bottle, but it definitely caused him to stumble. Enough room for you to sit up a little. You wanted to sit there and catch your breath. But you knew that you didn’t have time for that.
You swung again, this time the bottle breaking, and Coby fell to the ground with a thud.
“Gah! You crazy bitch!” He shouts, and something in you snapped.
You don’t know if it was the rush of adrenaline rushing through your blood, or the fact that you were pissed off about being lied to for a year now. A year wasted with this man. Most likely a mixture of both.
“I’M THE CRAZY ONE?!” You shouted, stressing the word ‘I’m’. Without thinking, the broken bottle neck that was still in your hand soon found itself on Coby’s shoulder. The same shoulder that had the ‘soulmate tattoo’.
Coby screams out in pain, his hand grasping his shoulder.
You didn’t waste another second in the same house as him. You got up, running out of the house, the cool air of the night immediately hitting your body.
It wasn’t until you ran far enough that you realized that you were still in your undergarments.
“Shit, shit. How embarrassing." You mutter to yourself as you look around. You were glad that no one was out to see you.
You look around, trying to find something that resembles some sort of covering.
“Finally,” you breathe out as you find a white gown.
Snatching the white gown off its clips, you slid it over you.
You started to walk back to your parents' place, ready to spill everything to them. However, you stopped short.
Coby was a marine. He could have you arrested.
You let out a small whine, not happy with your predicament. You couldn’t possibly stay here. You had to leave the island. Hopefully, Coby would soon give up on you, and he would slowly forget about what happened.
(The likelihood of that is extremely low).
You could see a port a few miles from where you were. Definitely walking distance. You could hide away on one of the ships and jump off at the next island.
It didn’t take that long to get into the ships. Exhaustion started to nip at you, though. Without a second thought, you got into one of the barrels on the ship, deeming it worthy enough as a good hiding spot. The fit was a bit tight and uncomfortable, but it definitely beats… whatever that was earlier.
Your knees were pulled to your chest, and your neck craned at an awkward angle so that you could fit comfortably.
🌻🌼⊱⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷⊰🌼🌻
By the time you woke up, you felt the motion of being rocked back and forth. Meaning that you were out at sea now. You have no idea how long you were sleeping, though. You could tell it had been a while based on how stiff your body was.
You could hear some chatter. Not too much, though. While sitting in the wooden barrel, all you could do was play with the pink ruffles and bows that were on the white gown.
“How ridiculous, is this what my life has dwindled down too?” You mutter to yourself. You were feeling very defeated at the moment. You didn’t really have a plan after the ship docked at the next island.
How were you even going to get off the ship without being spotted?
“Don’t think too much (y/n). Just go with the flow.” You tell yourself as you take deep breaths to calm yourself down.
In the meantime, you close your eyes, hoping it will pass the time more quickly while waiting to dock at the next island.
Spoiler alert, it did not.
After what felt like forever, you felt the ship come to a slow stop. You heard the loud chatter and shouts of people giving orders.
Restlessness started to itch at you. Just wanting to get out of the barrel and stretch your legs. Deciding to take a chance, you moved your body around so that the palm of your hand was resting on the lid. You pushed slightly, just enough to peek through, but not too obviously that you would be spotted right away.
There were still a few people bustling around, causing you to close the lid and get back into your previous position. Suddenly, you felt the barrel get picked up, causing your heart to drop.
“Man, this barrel is heavy! What’s in here?!” You hear a man shout.
‘That’s a little mean..’ you thought to yourself. It’s whatever, he’s just weak.
“Uhhh… I don’t know. It’s some shipment and supplies. Not really my business.” Another man responds.
“Over there?”
“Yup.”
The man readjusts the barrel, causing you to jolt around a little bit. The man walked for a while until you suddenly felt the barrel be dropped to the ground.
You waited a little bit to check the area. Once you opened the lid and saw that the area was cleared, you crawled out of the barrel. Groaning slightly as your bones screamed in protest. You didn’t waste a single second getting out of there, in fear of getting caught.
You pushed your legs as fast as they could, running until you couldn’t anymore. When you finally stop, you decide to look around. You had no idea where you were. Everything looked different. You had no idea which island you were on now.
Realization started to creep into your chest. You were completely on your own now. You didn’t know anyone, had no one to turn to, no money, no anything.
You take a seat on a nearby bench, as your breathing starts to get heavy. You just stared off into the distance, breathing heavy as you tried to come up with any solutions. But your mind kept going blank.
You were too lost in thought to realize that someone was walking up to you.
“Excuse me.”
Your head snaps up to see a white polar bear in a boiler suit.
“Hmm?”
“Are you okay?”
Honestly, the bear couldn’t walk by and not say something to you. Anyone with decent morals and a heart would’ve stopped to check in on you. You were just sitting there, breathing heavily. Sitting there in pajamas, barefoot. He could see the slight bruises on your neck, and your hair was a mess.
That question, the three-worded question, pushed you over the edge.
“No.” You simply state, covering your face with your hands as you start to sob.
The polar bear gasps, not really expecting this reaction from you.
“Hey there, wait a minute. I- I um can help you.” He says paw hesitation to reach out.
You pull your hands away from your face to look up at him.
“Really?”
He nods his head.
“You’re too nice!” You start crying into your hands again.
The bear lets out a small, panicked scream.
“It’ll be okay. Just follow me.”
“Okay.” You start to follow him. And you know you probably shouldn’t be following a stranger. But there was something deep down telling you that you could trust him. Plus, you really couldn’t resist cute things.
The polar bear had led you to a submarine. You didn’t really take notice of the Jolly Roger that was on their sail and on the side of the ship.
“Wait here.” The polar bear says when both of you approach a door.
“Thank you,” you whisper, “wait. I’m sorry. What’s your name?” You ask him.
The bear smiles at you, “Bepo.”
“Thank you again Bepo.”
Bepo gives you a smile. He then enters the room and closes the door behind him. You cross your arms, now noticing the slight chill nipping at your skin.
You could hear some mumbling behind the door, but it was too muffled to understand what was being said.
It was quiet for a bit more until the door swung open. You were expecting to see Bepo, but instead you were met with a tall man. He had dark hair peeking out of a spotted hat. He was wearing jeans and a white tank top. Another thing that caught your eye was the tattoos littered on his skin.
The man was about to tell you off, to tell you to go back home or something. However, he stopped short when he saw your shivering form. Usually, he would think someone in this state would be considered pathetic. However, he felt something pull in his chest, and he couldn’t help but feel a little bit of pity towards you.
The man sighs, turning towards Bepo. “Fine, only this time. And you’ll be doing extra chores.” The man tells Bepo. He just nods, still happy that he will be taking care of you.
“Thank you Captain!” Bepo runs out of the room, and you move to the side.
“Well, are you just going to stand there?” The man asks you, and you jump a little.
You look behind him to see that he has a medical bed and other medical equipment.
You were a bit confused because you knew that Bepo called him Captain, but he honestly looked more like a doctor.
“Oh yes. Sorry. Thank you…” You trailed off, not really knowing what to call him.
He lets you step into the room. The smell of sterile disinfectant immediately hits your nose.
“Law. You can call me Law.”
You nod your head, “thank you Law. My name is (y/n).”
Law leads you to sit on the medical bed. While you are making yourself comfortable, he pulls out the necessary things.
He walks back to you, a stethoscope in his hand. “I’m going to check your lungs and heart first.”
You nod your head, and he places the stethoscope on your chest. He instructs you to take a few deep breaths.
“Your breathing and heart are fine. I’m going to check the bruises on your neck.” He said, and he immediately saw you tensed up a little bit. You still nodded at him, trying to avoid looking at him.
Law steps closer to you, and the closer he looks at your neck, the more he can tell that the bruise was caused by human hands.
His cold hands gingerly touched both sides of your neck, causing you to jump a little.
“Does that hurt?”
“Yes.”
Law pulls away and grabs a tube, “I’m going to put some ointment on the bruise. It will help relieve the pain.” He snaps on some gloves.
“You’ll need to pull back your hair.”
You nod your head and grab your hair with one hand.
He walks back over to you and starts to gently slather the ointment onto your neck.
Law kept his eyes on your neck, making sure that he got every spot. He suddenly spots some ink on the back of your neck. Curiosity got the better of him, and he tilted his head to get a better look.
His eyes widen slightly, seeing his Jolly Roger tattooed on the back of your neck.
He pulls back, “how do you have that?” He asks a bit defensively.
“Get what?”
“That tattoo on the back of your neck.”
“Oh… it’s my soulmate tattoo. Why?” You were a bit hesitant to tell him.
“Nothing, it’s just our jolly roger.”
“Jolly Roger? You’re pirates?” You asked with shock, and your eyes were a bit wide.
With Coby being a marine, you never really heard the end of how much he despised pirates.
He always talked about how pirates were dirty, immoral, and downright bad people.
However, Law did not seem like that kind of man. Even though you’ve only known him for ten minutes, you feel safer with him than with Coby.
Law lets out a small scoff, “scared?”
“No. What does that mean then?”
“What does what mean?”
“Why is my soulmate tattoo your jolly roger?”
Law purses his lips. Was he going to tell you that he as well had the same soulmate tattoo? It seemed like you had a lot on your mind at the moment, and he didn’t want to dump the news on you just yet.
“No idea. Do you hurt anywhere else?” He asks, changing the subject.
“Just really sore.”
Law nods his head and heads over to a cabinet. “I have some medicine for that. It will make you sleepy though. You can rest here in the meantime. Do you have a change of clothes?” He asks.
“No, I didn’t pack any when I was running away.”
Law gives you a side eye and raises his eyebrow.
Sassy- was all he could think of.
He grabs the medicine and a glass cup. He fills it with water and heads back to you.
“Here.”
You take the medicine and water from him. Once you take the medicine and down the water, Law decides to take a seat at his desk.
“Is there a reason why you ran away, (y/n)-ya?” He asks.
“I was running away from someone.” You tell him, not wanting to give him too many details.
You really wanted to tell him that it wasn’t his business. But he was kind enough to help you, so it would’ve been rude to just snap at him.
He points at your neck, “I’m assuming from someone who did that?”
You just nod your head. Law just hums in response, like he was deep in thought.
You suddenly let out a yawn. The side effects of the medicine hit you quite fast. Law once again stands up and gets something out of a different cabinet. It was a thin fleece blanket.
“Here. Get some rest.”
You take the blanket and lie down.
“Thank you again, Law.”
🌻🌼⊱⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷⊰🌼🌻
Once you woke back up, you were quick to notice that your body was feeling better already.
Law must have noticed that you woke up.
“Care to explain this?” He asks, and you look over at him. You notice that he was holding a piece of paper. You couldn’t really tell what was on it, though. So you sit up, holding your hand out so that he can hand you the paper.
Your eyes widened seeing that it was a wanted poster with your name and picture on it. Great, not only did you run away, but now you were a wanted criminal. And for what? For protecting yourself? Your bounty was at 10,000 berries as well. Small, but it was still worth something.
“Well? I’m not harboring a fugitive, am I?” Law gives you a look. You honestly did not seem the type, but at the same time, he did not like being lied to.
You give him a look back, “says the pirate.”
Law just glares at you.
“Sorry,” you mutter. With a sigh, you place the wanted poster down.
“It’s kinda a long story.”
“I have time.”
So you explained your situation to him. How you thought you were with your soulmate, how you found out that he lied and got a tattoo of your tattoo. To how he basically lost his shit when you confronted him, and how he attacked you. And finally, how you stabbed him, and that you ran away.
Law just frowned at your words. He wasn’t upset with you. He was angrier at this marine, who assaulted you. You only defended yourself, but of course, you were painted as the bad person.
“What are those?” You ask him, pointing at the pile of clothes and two pairs of shoes.
“Well I wasn’t going to have you sit in a dirty gown. So I got you some clothes. I didn’t know your size though.”
“Wow, I can’t express how much this means to me. Thank you so much… I don’t have money to repay you though.” You tell him.
Law smirks at you, “I was thinking. I’m short a crew member. You can join, repay me.”
“Oh.” You frown, “I don’t think I can really contribute to your crew. I don’t know how to fight… or any pirate-y stuff.”
“You know how to cook?”
“Yeah.”
“Perfect. You’ll be the new cook. And you really can’t say no unless you want to be back out on the streets.”
“Wow, you really drive a hard bargain. Don’t ya.”
“Just rest here for a while. I’ll get you something to eat.” Law gets up and leaves the room.
Now you’re sitting here in complete silence, wondering what you got yourself into.
🌻🌼⊱⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷⊰🌼🌻
It’s been months since you joined the Heart Pirates. Just like Law said, you were the cook for the crew.
Luckily, you got along with everyone on the crew. Bepo is one of your closest friends. You owed him a great debt , since he was the one to find you and took you in to get help.
You were also very thankful for Law… However, you can’t deny that he got on your nerves sometimes. You had no idea how to explain it. Some days, he was nice to you; he even gave you your own room. However, there were days when he got underneath your skin. And you swore he enjoyed it.
“(Yyy/nnn)!” You heard your name being screamed from across the submarine. You sigh, already knowing who was looking for you.
Penguin and Shachi. You honestly loved them, but they can be a lot sometimes. They were constantly trying to flirt with you. They were so brazen about it, too, sometimes. They meant well, though.
The two men ran into the kitchen, “There you are (y/n)! We’ve been looking all over for you!” Penguin shouts, and you raise an eyebrow at him.
“Did you try the kitchen first? It’s where I’m always at.”
Shachi smacks Penguin on the chest, “I told you! But you didn’t want to listen. (y/n) you’re so smart.” Shachi sighs dreamily at the end.
“Mhm, what do you want?”
They both smile excitedly, “Captain told us that we're stopping at a beach island.”
“Okay?”
“Do you know what this means?!”
“We’re going to be at the beach?”
“Yeah! Beach Day! Just imagine it. Bathing suits, the sun shining on us, the warm sand and the cool water.”
“Aah, I don’t think I have a bathing suit though.”
“Don’t worry, we can buy you one!”
“We can?”
You roll your eyes at the duo. “Fine, but you better not buy me the skimpiest bathing suit. I want something cute.”
Both of them gave you a salute before running off.
You shake your head and start getting ‘beach worthy’ snacks and drinks ready.
Hours later, you heard the shout of some crewmates about docking at the island. This was usually an exciting moment because it meant that everyone was able to get some fresh air.
“You heading out, (y/n)-ya?” You hear Law’s voice as he enters the kitchen.
“Yup, I’m just packing snacks and drinks for everyone.”
Law looks at the variety of refreshments and cut fruit.
“You’re going to relax at the beach too?” He asks.
“Yeah, Penguin and Shachi told me too. They’re actually getting me a bathing suit.”
“They’re buying it?”
“Yup.”
“Don’t you have your own money?”
You give him a blank look, “they offered. I’m not going to tell them no.”
Law scoffs, “I wouldn’t hold them reliable on getting you a suitable bathing suit.”
“I already warned them… you know, if you’re going to be here, you could be useful.”
“Excuse me?”
“Help me carry this stuff outside, please.” You say, handing him some boxes of cut fruit. He went to grab the box from you, fingers grazing yours. When his cool fingers grazed your, a shiver went down your spine. It was never a bad one; it was always one that was followed by butterflies in your stomach.
It’s always like this, and you often wonder if Law got the same feelings.
“Thank you.”
Law mutters something under his breath, but you didn’t hear it.
Both of you walk out of the submarine, Law taking extra precaution to make sure that you don’t trip over anything.
You take a deep breath of the fresh air once you emerge from the submarine. After being trapped in there for weeks, the air tends to get stale, and you really miss the sun kissing your skin.
“Finally.” You breathe.
“You act like you haven’t seen the sky in months (y/n)-ya.”
“It feels like years.”
Law rolls his eyes, “ever so dramatic.”
“(yy//nn)!” You hear the familiar duo of the boys calling out your name. You look up to see Penguin, Shachi, and Bepo running towards you. You smile, seeing the familiar minx.
“Bepo!” You shout back, handing Law the rest of the things you were holding so you can go hug the minx.
“Hey!” Law shouts in irritation at the sudden drop off of things. You ignored him, though.
Law wasn’t able to see the interaction between you four, but the next thing he knows, you’re running by him with a small bag and shouting a thank you.
“Tch, how annoying.” Law mutters as he places down the things you gave him. Normally, if anyone else were to do that, he would scold them. However, when it came to you, he couldn’t find it in himself to scold you.
It wasn’t long until the rest of the crew were lounging around on the beach. Most were playing in the sand and water, and a few of them were lounging around, allowing the sun to soak into their skin.
You were one of the few lounging in the sun. You decided that it was time to get yourself a little drink. Getting up from your spot, you walk towards Law, who was also lounging in the sun.
His attire immediately catches your attention. He was wearing swim trunks and a black jacket that was open. You were about to make a joke about his attire, but you stopped short when you noticed something right in the middle of his chest.
“What is that?”
Law peeks his eyes open to see that you were basically standing over him. “What is what?”
You point at his chest, and he immediately gets what you are referring to.
“Oh, it’s the soulmate tattoo.” He says it like it’s no big deal.
You, on the other hand, were starting to freak out a little bit.
“And you didn’t say anything to me?”
Law sighs and shrugs his shoulders. “I didn’t want to bring it up.”
“And why not?!”
“Do you remember how we found you?” He asked and froze. Of course, you didn’t forget. How could you?
“I didn’t think you would want to deal with soulmate tattoos for a while… also I’m not a big believer in them.”
Your eyebrows furrowed, “what do you mean?”
“I don’t think we should let some silly tattoo dictate who we spend the rest of our lives with.”
You sit down beside him, letting out a small “oh, yeah. I see your point.”
“Well how do you want to move on with this?” You ask him.
Law turns to you and gives you a small smirk, “I think you already know.”
He was right, you didn’t need him to tell you. He let you stay on the ship and work. There were multiple opportunities for you to stay closer to him than necessary. And you took every single one.
You let out a small laugh, “yeah. I think I do.”
“Good,” Law puts his arm around your shoulder to pull you closer, “because I’m not letting go of you any time soon.”
IMAGINE: A WIFE OR SERVANT? ~ GOJO X READER
GENRE: HURT
cw: arranged marriage. use of wife. gojo is a bit mean here. reader is emotionally constipated.
read part one HERE
********************
Days, weeks, and months went by since the marriage. He brought you to the new house. Your new forever house. You, of course, had separate rooms. When Gojo asked if you wanted to sleep in different rooms, you felt conflicted. Internally, you wanted your own room. You barely knew the man, for goodness sake! All you could think of was that your mother wanted a son. And that possibly couldn’t happen if you were sleeping in different rooms.
However, Gojo could feel the uncomfortable tension when he asked the question. He truthfully did not want to share a room as well.
When escorting you to your own room, Gojo watched you silently. The way you held yourself, the way you walked. You’ve been trained to do so, like a proper lady.
He was getting frustrated that he couldn’t read a single thing off of you. What was so special about you? Why get married to him? Someone like you shouldn’t hold any significance compared to the Gojo clan.
“Will this be my room then?” You ask, snapping him out of his thoughts. He noticed that he stopped walking.
“Right. Yeah. This will be your room.” He confirms as he slides open the door.
He internally cringes, seeing that the room was bare and clearly not prepared for a guest.
“I’m sorry, I’ll get you-”
“It is fine. I will make do.” You say, stepping into the room.
You turn around to face him, hand on the door, ready to close it.
Gojo took another look at your eyes. Still nothing- just dull.
You bow your head, “goodnight.”
Since then, it has been the same routine. Gojo would wake up and get ready for the day. Come down the stairs to see that breakfast is already. You stood at the edge of the table, like you were waiting for him.
“Good morning, how did you sleep?” You would ask every morning without fail. Again, like you were following a script.
He would leave for work, leaving you to your ‘duties’ or whatever you called them. He asked you once what you did while he was gone. Just to gauge who you are.
You responded with “my duties.”
Whatever that meant.
When he came home, dinner would be ready. Nice and warm. No matter what time he came home, dinner would be made- fresh and hot.
Without fail, you would greet him, “Welcome back. How was your day?”
If Gojo was telling the truth, he was deeply disturbed by this.
As both of you were eating the dinner you made, Gojo tried to make conversation.
“So, what did you do today?” He asks.
“The usual.”
Gojo sighs, a bit of irritation flickering in his chest, “yeah. I get it. Your duties. But you never really specified what that is.”
You tilt your head as you look at him, “as your wife, I shouldn’t bore you with my everyday tasks.”
Gojo places his chopsticks down, “entertain me.”
You look at him, confused, “entertain?”
Gojo grins, not a happy grin. No, something that looked like he was about to snap.
“Yes, you always tell me that you have duties to fulfill. But I haven’t seen you do a single thing except make me food and keep the house clean.”
“Isn’t that what a wife is supposed to do?”
Gojo scoffs, “more like a servant.”
You didn’t respond. Just looking down at the food like it was the most interesting thing in the world.
“Tell me more about your day.” You finally speak up, and Gojo lets out a laugh of disbelief.
“Don’t try to change the subject. Tell me. What are these so-called ‘wife duties’. There’s gotta be more.”
You look up at him again, the words clawing at your throat. Things you truly wanted to say, but knew you couldn’t.
You straightened your back with poise and precision, just like you practiced every day.
“I am your wife. I must be the perfect wife. I may not anger you in any way. I must always obey you. I must carry a son.”
Disgust churned in Gojo’s stomach. The words were practiced. Words that were shoved down your throat every day until you actually believed it.
“I don’t understand.” Gojo mutters.
“What don’t you understand?”
Gojo stares at you. Not a single ounce of emotion on your face. Eyes still blank. He should feel sympathy, really. But he couldn't find himself to give empathy. Not at this moment. He wanted to see the real you. Not this ‘perfect wife’ image.
No, all he wanted to do was break you down.
“You’re more like a servant. You just cook and clean. You just stand there… doing nothing. And carry a son? Ha! You haven’t even tried to touch me since we’ve been here. Why haven’t you done that yet? You should’ve since you’ve been so hell bent on completing your duties. So, tell me, why haven’t you?!”
Gojo was breathing heavily at the end of his rant. If he looked closely at your eyes, he could see the small battle going on.
Your mouth ran dry, and your hands a little shaky as you knew the answer. But you didn’t dare to say it outloud.
With a deep breath, you try to compose yourself.
“Tch, pathetic,” Gojo mutters, looking away.
“Because I don’t want to.” You whisper, hoping Gojo didn’t hear.
Oh, but he did.
It was the first time he heard you say something like this. It’s always been about him. What his needs and wants are. Never about you. You didn’t care about what you wanted.
You felt disgusted with yourself. You felt like you just failed. All that training was thrown out the window because all you could think about was what you wanted.
Why haven’t you made a move yet? Easy, you didn’t love him. No. You didn’t want to carry a child with someone you didn’t love.
It should’ve been easy, but every time you thought about it, you felt sick.
You could feel the pressure of tears welling up in your eyes. You knew you shouldn’t feel this way, but you really couldn’t help yourself.
“I’m feeling tired. I’m going to bed. Good night, Gojo.” You say, not giving him a chance to speak again. You walked up the stairs, trying to control your breathing. But it was harder said than done.
Once the door closes, tears fall rapidly down your face.
“I’m sorry, mother. I’m sorry for being a failure.” You mutter to yourself as you sit down in front of your vanity. You grab multiple things to distract yourself with. But none of that really mattered.
You could feel the storm brewing in your chest. There was nothing more than wanting to let go. Just let go of all those feelings. To lie in bed and cry yourself to sleep. It sounded depressing, but it was something you desperately needed.
With a sad smile, you put everything away. You didn’t even bother changing out of your clothes. You lay in your bed- a bed that was too big- and quietly wept.
All the while, Gojo sat still at the dinner table. He didn’t move until he heard your door shut.
He let out an annoyed breath and leaned back in his chair.
“Man, what a pain in the ass.”
Gojo looks at the table, dinner that was neatly prepared, and barely eaten.
He truly didn’t understand. Didn’t understand the point of being married to you.
He tried, he really did try at first. He wanted to get to know you. But you always gave him such cold responses.
Not a single emotion behind those eyes.
He grew tired of trying and started to slightly resent you instead. He felt a little guilty at first. But nothing was changing. What else could he do?
He pushes himself out of the chair with a grunt. Not bothering with the dinner at the table, he decides to head out.
He opens the front door, frowning when he notices the downpour.
“Huh? That’s strange.” He mutters to himself. There was no forecast of rain.
No biggie, a little rain wasn’t going to stop him.
He looks down at his left hand. The gold wedding band staring back at him- like it was mocking him.
And just like he did every single time he left the house, he took off the ring, stuffing it into his pocket.
Gojo steps out of the house, his infinity stopping the rain from actually touching him.
He continues to walk, not bothering to look back at the house.
IMAGINE: A LITTLE EXTRA TRAINING
GENRE: FLUFF
CHARACTERS: GOJO X READER ft. geto
cw: none. i suck at writing fight scenes. might do a part 2?? this takes place when they are first years.
*******************
“I don’t understand why I have to do this.” Gojo groans, basically draping himself over Geto as they walk the empty campus.
“Because there is always room to grow and learn.”
“Bleh, you sound like Yaga-sensei.”
“Whatever.” Geto shrugs Gojo’s arm off of him, “we’re here.”
Both of them stare at the dojo.
“I didn’t even know we had one.”
“Yeah, that's because you don’t take training seriously.”
“Psh, that’s because I’m the strongest and don’t need to.”
Geto hides a smirk, “yeah. We’ll see about that.”
He steps forward, sliding his shoes off. Gojo follows suit.
Both of them step into the empty dojo.
“Of course no one is here. If I’m here to fight you, then know you’re gonna lose.” Gojo says.
“Nah,” Geto says as one of the doors slides open.
“Sorry, I lost track of time.” A new voice enters the dojo, and Gojo’s head snaps towards your voice.
His eyes widened upon seeing you. It was like his brain was short-circuiting. You were wearing dojo attire, and your hair was pulled out of your face.
Your face lit up at the sight of the two, but really, it was because you were seeing your friend, Geto.
“Suguru! So nice to see you. And you brought a friend.”
You walk over to your friend, giving him a hug.
Gojo looks at both of you in shock. “Wait. You two know each other?!” He looks at Geto with an almost betrayed look, “and you didn’t introduce me to them?”
Geto didn’t bother to hide his smirk this time, and he just shrugged.
You give Geto a knowing look before finally landing your eyes on Gojo.
“You must be Gojo. I’ve heard lots about you.”
Gojo snaps his head to Geto, flashing him a dirty look before turning his attention to you.
“Good things, right?” He asks, hopeful that his chances with you aren’t already diminished.
You laugh a little, “yeah. Sure.”
“Wait,” he says, finally taking his time to take in the situation.
“I’m fighting you?” He asked, pointing at you with a confused look.
“Yup.”
“But you don’t have any cursed energy.”
Gojo was right; he didn’t sense a single drop of cursed energy from you. You weren’t a sorcerer. Just a normal person.
“You’re right! So that means you have to turn your infinity off right?” Your voice was coated with something sweet.
Geto knew what this meant, but poor, poor Gojo. He had no idea what was coming.
To be honest, Gojo did not want to fight you at all. The chances of hurting you were too high, but man, he sure wanted to spend more time with you. Even if it meant “fighting” you.
“I’ll go easy on your sweetheart.” Gojo says stepping into the middle of the mat, “to make things fair… hmmm you can have a weapon.”
Geto cringes a little and shakes his head. Geto knew that Gojo was just digging a deeper grave for himself, but this would sure be entertaining.
You shrug your shoulders, “if you say so.”
“I insist.”
“Ever the gentleman.”
Gojo flashes you a pearly white smile. You roll your eyes and walk over to grab a pair of fans that were closed.
Gojo held back a laugh, “fans?”
“Yup, you ready?”
Gojo held up his arms in a poor excuse of a ready stance.
Geto leans back on one of his arms, ready for his entertainment.
“I’m ready whenever you are.”
Before he knew it, Gojo was on his back, and you were standing over him. Gojo blinks in shock.
“Six eyes, right?” You point the fan down at him.
“Uh huh.”
“You should’ve seen that coming. Stop being so cocky.”
Geto laughs at the shocked face of his best friend as you walk away from him.
Gojo gets up from the floor, still a bit shocked from what happened.
“Just because you’re the “strongest” doesn’t mean you get to take things slightly. You might run into someone like me. No cursed energy, but still able to take you down.”
Gojo clicks his tongue, “you just got lucky.”
With a flick of your wrist, the fans open with a slick ‘shing’.
Gojo’s eyes widen briefly when he sees the blades.
“Uh, shouldn’t we be using… like a wooden sword or something?” He asks.
You shook your head, “you’re the one who told me I should have a weapon.”
Gojo sighs to himself. He did in fact say that.
“You shouldn’t go easy on me. I won’t.” You tell him as your foot slides back to get into your ready stance.
Gojo takes a deep breath, getting ready to fight you. He really didn’t want to fight you… especially someone so pretty.
Geto, on the other hand, already experienced all this. He couldn’t believe that someone with no curse energy was so strong. He definitely was pulling back his punches. Which was a grave mistake.
He knew exactly what was going through his best friend's mind. And honestly, he couldn't wait to see his best friend get his ass handed to him.
Gojo made the first move; he was going to try to subdue you with one move to get this done and overwith. Your eyes glance down at his feet, already predicting the move he was going to do.
With a slight roll of your eyes, you moved slightly to the left, the blades of the fan just right in front of his eyes.
Gojo stumbled back to avoid getting hit in the face with the sharp blades.
“You were actually going to hit me with those?!”
“You moved out of the way, right?”
Gojo let out a puff of air, one of annoyance. Maybe he shouldn’t be pulling his punches back, the thought to himself.
The next thing Geto knows is that he sees a blur of two people fighting. To the naked eye, no one could see what was going on. But if you were to look closely, Geto could see exactly what was going on.
Whenever Gojo was on the offensive, you were quick to turn it around. However, Gojo did a pretty good job on the defense.
Suddenly, Gojo hits the bottom of your wrist, and you lose grip of the fan. The fan lodged itself into one of the wooden pillars.
“Ha!” Gojo shouts in a mini victory.
Your eyes narrow at him in annoyance. You jump back a couple of feet, giving enough space between the two of you. With the other fan, you threw it at him, sharp blades on a mission. His eyes widened as he moved his head out of the way.
“Are you trying to kill me?!” He shouts. When he looks back at you, you were already face-to-face with him. With one hand, you grab his shirt, pulling him closer to you. With the other hand, you reach behind his head.
Gojo’s breath stutters at the pure closeness.
“No, but you almost did.”
He turns his head, seeing that you had caught the fan. It had somehow flown back, about to hit him in the back of the head.
You push him back, creating that safe distance again.
With a single snap, the fan snapped shut. You sigh, shaking your head and going to grab the other fan.
“I feel like you still went easy on me.” You muttered.
Gojo shakes his head, and he looks down at his hands. Small cuts littered his hands. Cuts that appeared when he tried to attack you, but you blocked them with those fans.
“I’ll see you tomorrow?”
Gojo’s head snaps up at your question. He sees that you're talking to Geto now.
Geto stands up from his position, “yeah. And I’ll bring that idiot with me.”
“Hey!” Gojo splutters out.
You laugh and look at him, “I promise, no weapons next time.”
“Tch, that somehow doesn’t make me feel better.”
Gojo and Geto walk in complete silence as they exit the dojo.
Until Geto started laughing, “(y/n) beat your ass.”
Gojo thinks back, and he gives a dreamy sigh. Geto side eyes him.
IMAGINE: I WANNA RUIN OUR FRIENDSHIP
CHARACTER: YUJI X READER
GENRE: FLUFF
cw: not proof read. based off the song Jenny ( I wanna ruin our friendship).
***************************
Yuji and you have been friends for as long as both of you can remember. If Yuji was somewhere, you were right next to him and vice versa.
The two of you were inseparable.
Anyone with a working pair of eyes would’ve guessed that the two of you were dating.
So imagine everyone’s shock when the pair would laugh at the suggestion.
“Me? Dating Yuji? That’s funny.” You would laugh while holding your stomach. And Yuji would be laughing right along with you.
“Let’s go bestie, the new movie just released.”
You gasp, “human earthworm.”
Both of you lock arms and basically run to the movies.
Nobara just sighs and shakes her head, “hopeless. Both of them. Just a lost cause.”
Megumi shakes his head as well, “I wouldn’t stress about it.”
As both of you were walking to the movies, your phone let out a ding. You dig into your purse, pulling out your phone. You don’t realize your chapstick falling out of the bag. You also didn’t see Yuji catching the chapstick and pocketing it.
You click your tongue in irritation, seeing the notification popping up on your phone.
“What is it?” Yuji asks.
“My boyfriend.”
“Ugh! You’re still with that loser?”
“Hey!” You bump shoulders with him, “he’s not a loser! He just has different views.”
“Which is just a nice way to say that he’s a loser that doesn’t treat you right.”
You stop walking, causing Yuji to stop as well.
“What?”
“You don’t like any of my boyfriends that I’ve had.” You point out.
“I’m sorry to tell you this, but you have a terrible taste in men.”
You gasp in fake offense, putting your hand against your chest, “How dare you?”
“I’m sorry! But it’s true. They never last long anyway.”
“Says the one who’s never had a girlfriend.”
“Low blow (y/n). Low blow.”
“I’m just pointing out the facts.”
“So am I. I bet whatever your boyfriend texted is going to be about him complaining.” Yuji says.
You give him a look before turning your phone back on. You read over the texts twice, “This doesn’t prove anything.” You mutter, but you didn’t want to admit that Yuji was right.
“I’m sorry Yuji. I have to go.” You say not giving Yuji a chance to say anything, “we’ll watch the movie another time. Promise!”
You wave goodbye to him as you speed walk away.
“Yeah…” Yuji whispers to himself. He licks his lips, noticing they were a bit dry.
His fingers twitch in his pocket, grazing the Chapstick that was in there.
He pulls it out, the bright yellow label catching his eye. It was so tacky… but so unimaginably… you. That was the best way he could describe it.
He honestly didn’t know why he pocketed the chapstick instead of giving it back to you.
His heart aches a little as he stares at the Chapstick. He didn’t know what these feelings were that were bubbling in his chest.
He looks back up, noticing that you were no longer in his line of sight. With a soft sigh, he turns around, deciding to head back to the dorms.
While walking, he pulls out his phone, deciding to shoot you a quick text. Just a quick reassurance that you were okay. His eyes catch the profile picture he has of you. A ghost of a smile graces his lips. He clearly remembered this day like it was yesterday.
He swore that you looked so beautiful, even though you begged and begged him to delete the picture. He didn’t actually delete it, though.
He didn’t know what possessed him to do it, but he pulled up his photo app. Doing a slight scroll. Most of his photos were of him and his friends, of Gojo doing something stupid, food pictures, sunsets… but most of them were of you.
“Why don’t you just ask her out. You’re basically dating anyway.”
Gojo’s words rang in his head.
“I can’t do that.”
“Why not?”
“We’re just friends.”
“But you like her, right?”
“I… I can’t ruin our friendship. It means too much.”
“Yeah… I can’t ruin our friendship.” Yuji whispers to himself as he turns off his phone and puts it back into his pocket.
As the sun set and the moon rose, there was still no text from you. Which only caused worry to stir in Yuji’s stomach. To distract himself, he mindlessly read through his textbooks. Not a single word actually stuck to his brain. Just something to pass the time.
Finally, his phone dinged, and he quickly grabbed it. Unlocking the phone, he sees that you texted him. His eyes carefully read the text. You were back at your dorm… and you were upset.
He gets out of his seat and makes his way to your dorm.
He quietly knocks on the wooden door, careful not to wake anyone else up.
The door slowly opened. There you stood, dressed in pajamas, hair loose and eyes rimmed red. A tell sign that you were crying.
“I’m sorry Yu. I didn’t mean to wake you up.”
Yuji shakes his head, “I never went to sleep. Mind if I come in?” He asks, and you nod your head without hesitation.
As soon as he enters your room, you throw yourself into his arms.
Yuji didn’t hesitate to wrap his arms around you. Holding you tight so that you know that he wasn’t going anywhere.
“You were right.” You whisper.
“What do you mean?”
“That I have shitty taste in men.”
“I don’t think I exactly said that.”
Your body shakes from laughing a little, “right. Sorry. I have terrible taste in men.”
Yuji internally cringes, “I didn’t mean that.”
“But it’s true.”
He sighs, “Safe to assume that you and your boyfriend broke up?”
You nod your head, “yeah. He was a loser… and a jerk.”
He pulls back a little to look down at your face, fresh tears already brimming in your eyes. He takes both of his hands up to your face. Thumbs brushing the edge of your eyes to catch the unfallen tears.
The tension started to grow thick as both of you stared into each other's eyes. You don’t know who moved first. You honestly think you did first.
You could basically feel his breath brush against your lips.
Yuji pulls away before your lips could touch, his hands falling to his sides.
“I’m sorry (y/n). I don’t..” His words fell off his tongue. Not wanting to finish his sentence.
Your heart tugs, thinking the worst. “Yeah, you’re right. It’s my fault. I don’t wanna ruin our friendship.” You whisper, stepping back to create more space.
Yuji looks down at the floor with a small frown.
Suddenly, the floor became the most interesting thing.
“Trust me.” He starts, “there’s nothing more than I want to do.”
“What?”
“I wanna ruin our friendship.” He whispers, but it is still loud enough to hear.
“What is that supposed to mean?”
“I don’t know how to say this, cause you’re my dearest friend. But I wanna be lovers instead.”
How could he say this and not even look at you?
“Yuji.”
He didn’t even look up. Instead, a hand reached for the doorknob. Before he could even push down on it, you stepped forward and grabbed onto the collar of his shirt.
He looks up in shock as you pull him forward. Your lips are crashing onto his. It was messy and unplanned.
But to him it was perfect. The warmth that spread through him was something that he couldn’t put into words.
You pulled back, a bit breathless. “Me too.”
Yuji pulls you back into another kiss, a proper one this time. His hands go down to your waist, and your hands cup the back of his neck. The kiss was slower this time, and he wished he could freeze time just like this.
But right now, he was glad that he ruined the friendship.

“Stupid… stupid… this is so stupid..”
Luffy could hear the muttering, not too far. He looked in the general direction of where the sound was coming from.
And it sounded like they were frustrated, too. He could tell by the constant hitting of a tree or a stick.
He looked back down at the bug he was currently examining. He wanted to go see who was making all that noise… but at the same time, the bug was pretty interesting. Curiosity got the best of him, and he decided to go see who was there… of course, not without the bug.
Maybe he can cheer them up with the cool bug!
He clutches the bug in one hand, and with the other, he pushes the branches and leaves out of the way.
It’s not long until he finds the person making all the noise.
His eyes widened a little in surprise, finding someone his age in the woods as well. Of course, he saw this as an opportunity to make a new friend. He eyes the girl up and down, noticing the ruffled dress and the shiny black shoes. They were a little dirty, and there were some rips, which he could assume that they had been caused by a tumble.
Their hair was nicely done, save for the twig sticking out of it.
“Woah… you look fancy.” Luffy says, grabbing their attention.
Sharp eyes snapped towards his direction. Cold and calculating, like she was assessing a threat. She raised the stick she was holding in his direction, as if it were a sword.
“Who are you?” She asked.
“Monkey D. Luffy. Who are you?”
The girl eyes him up and down, deeming him not a threat. She lowered the stick to their side.
“None of your business.”
“Want to see this bug I found?” Luffy asks, suddenly remembering the bug he was holding onto.
He holds his palm out, the beetle standing still in his hand.
The girls’ eyes widened seeing the bug.
“You idiot. Don’t you know that they bite?”
“Huh-Ow!”
Luffy rapidly shakes his hand, successfully getting the bug off his hand.
“Ow, ow, ow.” Luffy mutters, taking a closer look at the bite, his skin turning a bit red from the irritation.
The girl groans in annoyance before snatching some leaves.
“I ran away to get away from idiots… only to run into you.” She mutters before grabbing Luffy’s hand to drag him to a good spot.
Of course, Luffy heard the girl rambling. “You ran away? Why did you run away?”
The girl just shakes their head and pushes Luffy down to sit on a log.
“Ugh, I didn’t run away.”
“Then why did you say you ran away?”
“It’s complicated… and it’s none of your business!” The girl shouted.
Luffy pouts, watching the person put together this paste that kinda looked like… well, Luffy didn’t know how to explain what they were putting together.
“I was just trying to cheer you up.” Luffy mutters.
The girl pauses, “cheer me up? Why in the world would you want to do that?”
Luffy perks up a little, “you seemed mad earlier. So I thought the cool bug would cheer you up.”
There was a silence between the two of them. The girl blinked at him in confusion, then a smile broke out on their face, followed shortly by a laugh.
“You thought that a stag beetle would cheer me up?”
Luffy’s eyes lit up, enjoying the sound of her laugh. “You know what that bug was?”
“Of course. Next time you decide to pick up a female stag beetle, make sure you’re not near their mandibles. They bite, but it’s not venomous… just annoying.”
“Wow! You’re smart!”
The girl smiles again, a bit more genuinely this time. “Thanks.”
“Do you want to be friends?” Luffy asks out of the blue.
The girl tilts their head to the side, “you want to be friends with me?”
“Yeah! You seem really cool.”
The girl looks down at Luffy’s hand.
“My name is (y/n) by the way.” They say.
Luffy broke out into a huge grin.
“Does that mean we’re friends now (y/n)?!” His excitement started to rub off on them, and (y/n) chuckles.
“I feel like I don’t have a choice.” (y/n) says as she wraps his hand up with some leaves.
“Woah, where did you learn this from?” Luffy asks, looking at the homemade bandage. The irritation of the bite is already fading away.
Luffy didn’t even give the girl time to answer. “I have an idea!” He gasps.
“When I get old enough, I’m leaving to become the king of the pirates! And I want you to be my first crewmate.” He says with a large smile.
(y/n)’s eyes shone with wonder as he rambled about his dream, “wow… you got a big dream there.”
“Yeah! What’s your dream?” He asks while tilting his head.
(y/n) was about to answer, before she heard a bell ring.
A frown is immediately plastered on her face, and she covers one ear.
“I’m sorry. I have to go.”
“But you ran away? So you don’t have to go anywhere.”
(y/n) sighs, “like I said. Complicated. I’ll see you again. I promise.” (y/n) says before turning around.
“Wait!” Luffy shouts before grabbing her hand with his unbandaged hand.
(y/n) turns around, “what?”
“You promise?”
Luffy lets go of her hand, “pinky promise?”
He holds up a pinky to her.
(Y/n) grins before wrapping her own pinky around his, “I pinky promise.”

“Just count backwards from 100…” The doctor tells you as they put a mask over your nose and mouth.
“100, 99, 98, 97… 96…. Niiiin-”
*********
When you came to, everything was a bit blurry and you felt a bit disoriented. Scratch that- a lot disoriented.
A pout forms at your puffy lips as you rubbed your eyes, trying to clear your vision.
You can hear someone talking and you look over at the noise. One guy was wearing a white coat, a doctor. And the other man, tall with green hair. Your pout soon disappears as you realize that your husband was in the same room as you.
“Zoro.” You tried to speak out, but you realized your mouth was full of gauze and that you couldn’t speak well. Instead, you let out a small whine. You really wanted your husband's attention.
Zoro looks over at you, his eyes softening at your pitiful state.
“Hey darling, try not to talk too much.” He laid a comforting hand on the top of your head.
“What happened?” You muffle out.
“You had your wisdom teeth removed.”
You just hummed looking away from Zoro and down at your legs.
“Yes, they’ll be out of it for a while. Just make sure you keep an eye on them so they don’t hurt themselves or choke on the gauze.”
The doctor continues to instruct Zoro with some after care for you.
After a couple of moments, you snap your head towards Zoro and grab onto his wrist.
Zoro gives you a question look and you motion him towards you.
“What?” He asks.
“We have to get outta here.” You whisper.
Zoro’s eyebrows furrow, “that’s what we’re working on right now. We’re about to leave.”
You shake your head,” you don’t understand…. They broke my legs.” You whisper like you just told him the biggest secret.
Zoro purses his lips and looks down at your legs, “no they didn’t.”
His words really upset you and you let out a small sob, “yes they did. I can’t move them!”
“No baby,” he cradles your hand, “they just feel like that right now.”
You hear someone enter the room, and your head snaps over to the nurse, who was pushing a wheelchair in.
You look back at Zoro, “then explain that!”
Tears start to well in your eyes as the thought of your legs actually being broken became a reality.
“It’ll be okay. This is normal, your legs are just asleep.” The nurse explains as she starts to move your legs for you.
You felt the tingling sensation run up your legs as she moved them. A tell sign that your legs were in fact not broken.
“I’m gonna pull the car around.” Zoro says as he walks out of the room.
“You have a very caring husband.” The nurse says as she helps you into the wheelchair.
You just hum in content, a warm flush coming across your cheeks.
“Yeah… he’s the best.”
The nurse continued to push you out of the building where Zoro was waiting for you with the passenger side door open.
Zoro gives you a small smile as you get closer.
“Thank you, I can take it from here.” He tells the nurse. She nods her head as Zoro helps you out of the wheelchair.
He helps you with ease, like he’s done this a million times before. (which he has).
“Alright, baby. Let’s get you buckled up.” He says once you're situated in the seat.
“Mm, I got it.”
Your hand flimsy grabs onto the seat belt while your other hand grabs onto the side of the seat for support.
“No, (y/n). Don’t. I got it.” Zoro says but you ignore him and continue to put the seatbelt on yourself.
The both of you continued to pull back and forth on the seatbelt. That was until you pulled a little extra hard on the side of the seat causing it to snap forward.
“(Y/N)!” Zoro shouts as you fling forward and hit your head on the dashboard.
You let out a whine as the pain starts to blossom through your head.
Zoro grumbles out a string of curse words as he resets the chair upright and buckles you up.
He looks at you, making sure that you’re buckled up right and sitting correctly. With a tired sigh, he closes the door.
Once the car started moving, you closed your eyes, letting the smooth sailing rock you back to sleep.
However, that was short lived as Zoro pulled up to a red light. The stopping causes you to wake up.
“Mm, home already?” You ask as you start to unbuckle your seat belt.
Zoro’s eyes widened when he saw your hand reach for the door handle.
“(y/n), no! We’re not home!” He shouts leaning over to grab ahold of your hand.
However, the door still slightly swung open.
“Oi!” He reaches out even more to try to close the door.
As he was reaching for the door, someone behind him honked. His eyes flutter to the green light causing him to groan. His blood pressure started to rise from the annoyance around him.
“Ugh. Don’t they see I’m busy here.” He mutters.
“Zooorrroo when are we getting home.” You slur out grabbing ahold of his jaw to jerk him around.
“Oi! I’m trying to drive!” He shouts before pulling away from you.
You let out a whine, “you don’t love me…” You start to cry, your head going in between your knees.
“Eh? When did I say that?!” His eyebrow crooked up, giving you a side eye.
“You won’t take me home…”
“But that’s where I’m taking you right now… and buckle up!”
“UGH!” You shoot back up, “Fine, dad!” You snap, pulling the seatbelt over your chest successfully.
Zoro’s eye twitches at your words, deciding not to feed into your… little moment as he will call it.
After a few more minutes he’s pulling up to your shared home. He looks over at you, seeing that your arms were crossed over chest and an angry pout on your lips
“We’re home (y/n).”
You didn’t answer. Instead, Zoro just steps out of the car and walks to the passenger side.
He opens the door for you and grabs ahold of your arm.
"At least you know how to be a gentleman.” You quietly mutter, but he still hears it.
“Eh? When have I not?”
You don’t answer, only turn away from him. With a shake of his head, he starts to pull you out of the car, “you’re lucky I love you.”
You gasp, turning to him with a bright smile… which looked silly to him with your puffed out cheeks from the gauze.
Zoro honestly couldn’t hold it in any more. He let out a couple of laughs, thinking that you looked exactly like a hamster.
“You love me?”
Zoro nods his head. “Well you should be very lucky that I love you!”
With a small smile, Zoro picks you up bridal style. “Yes, you’re right. I am very lucky for you to love me.”

Luffy always has a protective side, especially when it comes to his crew. Now he knows full well that his crew take care of themselves.
However, when it comes to you… it is different.
Something about having you by his side made him feel more at ease. And because of this he just always needs you by his side.
He didn’t realize he was doing it at first, but whenever Sunny docked at a new island, he always grabbed onto your hand to drag you for a new adventure.
You always brushed it off until you tried to leave his side once.
“Let’s go (y/n)!” Luffy reaches out and tightly grabs onto your wrist. However, you dug your heels into the wooden planks to stop him.
“Huh? What’s wrong (y/n)?”
“Nothing, I just wanted to stay behind today. I realized that I never stayed behind on the ship to keep watch. I want to do my part as well.”
Luffy tilts his head like he was confused by the words you just spoke.
“It’s okay, (y/n). You can go and I will stay on the ship.” Robin's voice cuts through as she puts a hand on your shoulder.
Luffy did not need to be told twice.
“Yay! Let’s go (y/n)!”
You didn’t even get a chance to let out a single breath before you were being pulled into Luffy’s awaiting arms. He picked you up with ease, like you weighed nothing. The impact against him didn’t hurt, but it sure as hell scared you every single time.
“Ah! Luffy! Don’t do that!” You say giving his chest a small whack.
Luffy just laughs at your attempts and continues to run off the ship… with you still in his arms.
“Luffy… Luffy.. You can put me down now.” You say gripping onto his arms tighter. You trusted him not to drop you while he was running, but there was still that little twinge of fear of being tousled around.
Luffy skids to a stop, and finally places you on solid ground. It wasn’t even a second later that he grabs onto your hand again and starts dragging you to his next destination.
You don’t question his antics, and brush it off as Luffy being Luffy. Instead, you just clasp onto his hand harder, reassuring him that you weren’t going anywhere. Unbeknownst to you, his chest filled up with that same warmth that he loved and he can feel a flush start to creep up his neck.
“I can’t believe I’m saying this before you, but I am starving. Let’s go eat.” You tell him as you were now the one pulling him.
Luffy laughs and agrees, his other hand holding onto the top of his hat so it doesn’t fly off.
Once you got to the more populated area, Luffy started to take the lead. His hand gripped yours tighter and he pulled you closer to his side so that you wouldn’t get lost in the crowd.
He didn’t realize that he started to do this, but you sure did.
And you sure noticed the look that Luffy would throw at people if they bumped into you. It wasn’t a dirty look, more of an observant look. Like he was trying to assess if they were a danger or not.
“Luffy.” You say leaning closer to him.
“(y/n),” he responds back.
“You know, I can handle myself right.”
Luffy laughs while looking at you, “of course! That’s why I wanted you to be on my crew!” You just softly smiled at him, gripping his hand tighter. You noticed how he treated you just a bit differently from the rest of the crew. A comforting warmth started to bloom in your chest as you began to look at Luffy in a different light.
“Yes, of course.”
There was a silent pause and Luffy just looked at you with an innocent wonder in his eyes. Something was pulling at his chest, and he desperately needed to get it off his chest.
"but having you by my side puts me more at ease." he says.
You grin, letting out a chuckle. You push his shoulder with yours.

Luffy:
“Woah…” Luffy whispers as he holds the bundle in both his hands.
He couldn’t believe that the small little thing he was holding in his hands was his own child.
No, not just his. A mixture of you and him. She looks just like you. Same nose, eyes, and lips. Thick black hair curled at the top of her head, and cheeks so chubby.
His eyes sparkled as he looked over to you.
You looked tired and worn out, but you still had a soft smile on your face as you watched Luffy with his child.
“Look (y/n),” Luffy says as he gets closer to you, “look at our daughter.”
He puts the baby in your arms, warmth blooming across your chest as you feel her skin touch yours.
“A girl..”
“Yes, and she’s beautiful. Just like her mama.”
A watery laugh escapes your lips. “That’s so cheesy, Luffy.”
Luffy laughs as well. “I should start working on my dad jokes now.”
Luffy has a proud grin on his face as a million jokes run through his head.
“Oh Ophelia… we promise to love you no matter what.
“Hey, I got one. What’s brown and sticky?.... A stick!”
“Oh my god…. That was terrible.”
Zoro:
Zoro’s eyes scanned back and forth between the two babies. Yes… two babies. He thought he could handle one child, but two? Yeah.. he’s not too sure.
Both of the boys were nestled in a blanket, sound asleep. You were resting as well. You deserved it afterall. You had pushed out two kids.
They were complete opposites. One looked like him- a soft tuft of green hair nestled on top of his head… and he was somehow scowling? The other had (h/c) hair and a serene look on his face.
“What are you thinking about?” Your voice cut through the silence, causing Zoro to flinch a little. He was not expecting you to be up so soon.
So many worries were running through his head, but he did not know how to voice them.
“You’re worried, aren’t you?”
Zoro just nods.
“Me too… if I’m being honest. I wasn’t expecting twins. But I know we can make it work.”
Zoro takes a deep breath, “I’m worried that I won’t be able to keep my own kids safe.
“You don’t have to worry about that. You’re not the only one who is here to protect them. They have aunties and uncles who will die trying to protect them.”
Zoro nods his head, “you’re right.” He leans down to place a small peck on your forehead.
“What are their names?”
“I’m thinking of Akito and Hirito.”
“Perfect.”
Sanji:
Sanji is with you every step of the way.
After you gave birth he was ecstatic over the precious bundle of blonde curly hair. He swore he fell in love all over again when he laid your daughter in your arms.
Sure, there was nothing more beautiful than creating a child, but Sanji swore you never looked more beautiful in your life.
Of course, you just swatted him away, telling him that he’s being delusional.
He lowkey takes offense to that.
“How could I not be serious, mi amour? You just gave birth to our beautiful daughter. You are so strong and perfect in every way.”
You can hear his voice crack slightly in the end and you knew right then and there that he meant every single word.
“What are you going to name her?” Sanji asks.
“I’m thinking of Charlotte.”
“Beautiful.”
Sanji leans his head against the top of your head, not caring if there was a light sheen of sweat.
Charlotte slept peacefully in your arms while Sanji just stared at her, basking in the presence of both of you. He breathed in a sigh of content, bathing in the love of his life's presence.
He may not be materially rich, but he knew that he won in life with different riches.
Imagine: How the monster trio boys would treat you while your pregnant.
Characters: Zoro x reader, Luffy x reader, Sanji x reader.
warning: none really. not proof read. reader is afab.
Zoro:
During your pregnancy, Zoro would get more protective. Beforehand his protectiveness was a lot more subtle. He would always make sure you were in the same vicinity as him so he could keep an eye on you.
However, now that you are pregnant he wants you by his side 24/7. He was basically conjoined to your hip.
He also did not let you carry any heavy stuff. Sure, he would let you carry some clothes, but that is the heaviest thing you are carrying.
You once asked him about it and he looks at you like you asked him the most ridiculous question in the world.
“Haha, what kind of question is that?”
You just gave him a look, resting your chin in the palm of your hand.
Zoro couldn’t stand it when you looked at him like that.
With a soft exhale, Zoro leaned against the ship railing.
“I… Look, I’m not exactly sure what to do. So I asked Chopper… and I want to do what is best for you so that you and the baby are healthy.”
Your heart swelled at his words, “awe,” you cooed, “you went out of your way just for me and the baby.”
Zoro’s face burns a bright red and he turns away from you. He hated feeling like this sometimes.
“Tch, well I did say that I would do whatever it takes to keep you and the baby safe.”
Luffy:
At first he would think nothing of it. He wouldn’t treat you any differently… that is until a baby bump started forming.
Seeing the baby bump made him realize that this was real. That you have an actual living being growing inside of you.
He knew right then and there that he would have to step up and take better care of you.
“Oh (Y/n)!!” Luffy shouts outs while running to you. You notice that he has a plate of food in his hand.
Before you even get to question him why, he’s shoving the plate in your hands.
“Ah! Luffy. What is this? What are you doing?”
He plops down next to you, “you have to eat more.” He says.
“Oh, okay…” You whisper while picking up the fork. You weren’t upset about it, in fact, you were more confused.
You peek over at Luffy, seeing his lips pursed in a straight line. Steady eyes focusing on the plate of food. You knew he wanted some too, but he wasn’t asking for any. You see his eyes flicker down and that’s when it clicks.
With a soft smile, you place the fork back down causing Luffy to look at you with confusion.
“What’s wrong, do you not like it? Or are you feeling sick?”
“If you want, you can have this plate and I can get something else from the kitchen.” You start to hand the plate to him, but Luffy quickly stops you.
“No!” he stands up, “I got that for you and the baby. You should also start resting… like right now.”
He moves the chair back, so that you are now leaning more back. You let out a startled gasp.
“Hmmmm…” Luffy taps his chin, “I’ll just feed it to you then!” Before you can even protest, he snatched the plate from your lap and started hand feeding you.
Sanji:
Sanji would be your personal doctor/midwife. He would make sure that you’re always taking the correct vitamins, always eating the healthiest food, he even made sure you had regular check ups with Chopper.
At first, it was sweet and endearing. But now…. It can be a bit overwhelming.
You really just wanted to eat something deep fried or something extremely greasy.
“Please, Sanji.” You were basically begging him, but he wasn’t budging.
Usually when you ask him to make him something, he would do it in a heartbeat. But since he found out you were pregnant, he had to make a sacrifice. It was for you and the baby’s sake.
When you realized he wasn’t going to budge, tears started to well up in your eyes.
Sanji’s eyes widened once he realized what was about to happen. You were about to cry. Something that he hated to see.
“No, no. My darling. Please don’t cry.” He rushes over to you and puts a hand on your back.
Of course, that does little to nothing to help. You drop your head onto the counter, tears freshly flowing down and your shoulders shaking.
“But.. but the baby craves it! I crave it!”
Sanji’s thoughts were starting to race. He wanted you and the baby to be healthy. But at the same time, he hated seeing you like this.
“Oh, please stop crying, mi amour.” He leans down to hug your mid section, and leans his head onto your back.
“No! You hate me!” Your words struck him like lightning. How could you ever think or say that?
“No-”
“Yes you do. Before you used to make anything I wanted. But now you’re treating me like I am a sick patient. I’m just pregnant. Fried food isn’t going to end us.”Sanji takes a deep breath, “fine.. I’ll make you whatever you want.”
Those words cause you to snap straight up, a bright smile on your face, tears magically gone.
“Really?”
“Just… please. Anything else.”
Your lips form into a pout, “no. Specifically that.”
“But darling, you have to understand… deep frying pickles and slathering peanut butter and jelly on it…”
“Make it.”
“Yes ma’am.”

Characters: Luffy x reader, Zoro x reader, Sanji x reader.
warnings: not really proof read. reader has a female body.
Luffy:
I think that Luffy would be confused at first, but then he would be really excited.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
You had no idea how this could happen… well you did know exactly how it happened. But you didn’t think this day would come. At least, not this soon. You and Luffy never even mentioned or thought about babies.
How would he even react?
You knew you had to tell him right away. The longer you waited, the more you would get nervous.
The tricky part is how you were going to explain it to him. Sure, Luffy can be smart in his own ways… but you weren’t sure of his knowledge on female anatomy.
With a heavy sigh, you exit the bathroom and head towards the deck. Right where Luffy would be.
As you expected, Luffy was chilling on the headmast.
“Hey Luffy!” You gained his attention.
He looks down at you with a large smile, “Hey (y/n)! Want to join me?” He asks and you don’t even have to think about it.
It’s the perfect place to tell him. No one can hear you and it’s private.
Before you can even answer, he wraps his arm around you so that he can pull you up.
The first thing that pops up in your head is how he is going to have to be more careful now.
Not that he isn’t… but there are definitely times when he accidentally threw you into a wall.
“Where have you been?” He asks as soon as you settle down in front of him.
“Restroom. There is actually something I want to talk to you about.”
Luffy can sense the seriousness in your voice and he knew that this wasn’t a time to joke around.
“Yeah.. what is it?”
“Umm… so I noticed that I was late to my period…”
Luffy tilts his head and you can tell that he doesn’t exactly know what that means.
“Long story short, I’m pregnant.”
You felt a sense of relief come off your chest as you told him.
Luffy’s eyebrows were furrowed as he looked down at your stomach.
“You have a baby in your stomach?”
“Well, no. Not my stomach. My uterus.”
“Which is where again?”
You grab his hand and put it right where your uterus would be.
“Right here.” You whisper and Luffy tries to lean closer to your stomach.
“Where’s the baby?” He asks, genuinely confused.
You laughed a little, “no, Lu. It’s like the size of a pea right now. It’s going to grow over time.”
Luffy snaps back up, “really?”
There is a large smile on his face, and you knew right then and there that Luffy is going to be a great father.
Zoro:
I think Zoro would internally freak out and wouldn’t know what to do. Because of this you freak out, thinking negative things. Until Zoro tells you differently.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You stared at the double pink lines, nerves started to fill your whole body. Your hands start to shake and the first thing you do is throw away the stick. You moved the trash around, so that stick is more hidden.
Next thing you know, you’re in your room. Pacing back and forth as thoughts filled your head.
How were you going to tell him? How would he react? What if you just didn’t tell him? No, that would be ridiculous. He would tell when the bump came in.
You don’t even notice Zoro leaning against your door frame.
“Whatca thinking about?” He asks, and you don’t even stop pacing.
“Thinking how I’m going to tell you that I’m pregnant?” You say without even thinking. It just slipped through.
As soon as those words came out of your mouth, you stopped pacing and your heart dropped.
You look at him full of shock and wide eyes. You didn’t mean to tell him that way.
His expression matched yours and you had no idea what was going through his head.
“Uh-”
“How long have you known?” He asks and you shake your head.
“I- I just found out. And I was thinking of a way to tell you.” You explain.
Zoro doesn’t say anything… instead he walks out of your room. Leaving you alone.
Your heart sinks… you couldn’t believe he just walked out. You had no idea what he was thinking. Well, it couldn’t be good if he just walked out!
With an exaggerated groan, you flop down onto your bed. You were frustrated with Zoro and with yourself.
You don’t know how long you laid in bed with tears flowing down your face. But the sun was gone, and your stomach was rumbling.
With a sigh, you wipe your face, getting rid of any evidence that you cried.
There was a knock on your door, and you sat up only to see Zoro.
You sighed, a frown on your face.
“Hey,” Zoro says, holding up a plate of fresh dinner, “I saw that you didn’t come up for dinner. So I.. I um brought it down for you. You know, you can’t starve yourself with the baby.”
He comes into the room and sits next to you. He puts the plate in your lap without saying another word.
It was silent between you two for a moment.
You decide to break the silence.
“I’m sorry… for you know.” You quietly say and Zoro shakes his head.
He lets out a sigh, “I.. I’m not good with words. But, don’t apologize. I freaked out. I’m worried about how we’re going to be parents as pirates. It’s not safe… or going to be easy.”
You nod your head, continuing to pick at your food. You didn’t even think about that… and he’s not wrong.
“But I do know that I will do whatever it takes to keep you and the baby safe.” He says and your head snaps towards him.
“Really?”
Zoro chuckles, “don’t ever think I wouldn’t protect you. I love you (y/n).”
“I love you too, Zoro.”
Sanji:
I honestly believe he would know before you do. And he would be over the moon about it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sanji keeps track of your cycle and your habits. He knows that certain things might throw off your cycle and he even keeps track of that.
So when he noticed that you missed your period for the month. Oh boy… he immediately got worried and got you a pregnancy test.
“Here, I need you to take this.” Sanji says walking up to you.
“Oh wow,” You say, grabbing onto the box, “whatever happened to good morning my love? Or how are you?”
Sanji smiles, places a kiss on your forehead, “good morning. Now go take that my love.”
He pushes you towards the bathroom and shuts it behind you.
“Wow… okay.” You whisper to yourself.
Ten minutes later, the both of you are staring down at the positive pregnancy test.
“It’s sweet… but kinda creepy at the same time that you knew before me.” You break the silence.
But Sanji didn’t care about your words.
He was about to be a father! “Oh mi amour.” He says pulling you into a tight hug. You can feel the excitement radiating off of him.
“We’re going to be parents.”
“Yeah… yeah. We’re going to be parents.”
